No way is Raj not # 1. That guy did literally everything wrong. He:
- fought with his own team.
- ate the cooked food during the service.
- cooked fish when it wasn't needed yet.
- didn't advise the other staff that they were out of Dover sole, which resulted in 3 being ordered when they had none.
- cooked his horrible "dish", the seafood pancake.
- couldn't even roll the pizza dough.
- couldn't prepare the parsley correctly.
- cooked way too many garnishes.
- cooked the scallops before the spaghetti was ready.
- cooked the salmon in sauce when he wasn't supposed to.
- severely undercooked the salmon on his second attempt.
- breathed like an asthmatic ogre.
- struggled to describe the menu to the customers.
- didn't listen to Gordon's instructions at the beginning of the service.
- tried arguing with Gordon during the service.
And that's probably not all he did.
FINALLY!! Somebody who gets it!
Yeah, he was incompetent as Hell, but to be fair, his seafood dish was deemed tasting okay.

I can't believe Joseph "I ain't no bitch" Tinnelly didn't make the list.
Getting himself kicked out by threatening Gordon with physical violence when Joseph wasn't even remotely in danger of being sent home (if Ramsay asks YOU for the nominations, that means he thinks you're one of the best cooks on the losing team).
For a "former marine," Joseph seemed to have a LOT of difficulty with simple instructions. First he doesn't tell Gordon who the picks are, then he tells them both names when Gordon wants them one at a time, and THEN he doesn't tell Gordon why they are the nominees.
So Gordon goes from being fairly cordial, to insulting Joseph, to yelling at him to follow directions. Joseph walks up to him to fight, but quickly backs down when he sees three men in his face who don't give a shit about his tough guy act.
Then stumbles on the steps as he walks out...

Joseph clearly was overcompensating for a small dick. No sane person would ever charge at Gordon and think they'd have a fighting chance, military training or not.

That just screams "INSECURITY." A person can dress it up in anger and aggression all they want. It's insecurity.
When Lacey went back Into the kitchen to say "Goodbye," the team was like: "Meh."

Just don't subscribe and enjoy part of the content, or subscribe if you want to support this kind of work, i normally watch this channel for curiosity but i'm not subscribed, it would pollute my feed with things i'm not addicted to... Big channels are like soulless industry that knows how to win clicks, they don't care about critics or that they do stupid things nobody likes, this recipe works, if you want soulful content, you must chase for channels that are made by humans, if you know what i mean...

Regardless, if she is a high ranked chef of her talent, she still and forever will be the most unbearable contestant of season 9..well actually the WHOLE franchise.
@@duncan3998 If they were basing the list purely on attitude, Elise takes first place. Although, Lacy and Sabrina definitely give her some competition. Since WM is going with a combination though, Elise drops because she actually had talent whereas say, Raj was utterly hopeless.
At least Robyn changed a lot in season 17. She even beat Elise.

Irony (of watchmojos list) i loooove robin. (Shes one of my fav female contestants ever in HK, due to personality and cooking improvement in leaps)
Her first appearance in her first season/time yeah had quite a bit of personality faults and wasnt that great.
But when she came back in all stars just WOW! big difference in cooking she beileved in herself more and when she messed up she bounced back better, and her attitude much better. Not to meantion She saved bailed out her team couple times (owning it in the taste challenge)
Me i wanted her to win all stars 🌟
But she beat that mean unlikable old elise got much further too! Im glad she got another chance. :)
Tbf I found Tiffany unbearable to watch compared to Robyn but I liked Robyn in season 17 and how much she toned down. Compared to Elise and Jen who were much worse😂

Elise could cook but she was hands down the most memorable “villain” of this show.
the biggest problem with elise is that she is one of if not the best cook in both of her seasons and she knows it and isn't afraid to say it
elise is great at cooking... so great that she gains a massive superiority complex and refuses to look out for anyone besides herself, resulting in the conniving, terrible person we see on the show.
there is also the idea that one episode of hell's kitchen is about 24-48 hours of filming depending on what happens condensed into 45 minutes... so maybe she wasn't that terrible all the time?

Yeah, like I get that she could cook but I still think because of her toxicity she should've been number 1 on this list hands down. Most of the other contestants were just incompetent on this list but Elise was horrible as a contestant
U forgot the former marine. He is the one who tried to attack ramsay.

The only good former marine in this show is Bobby from Season 4. Remember the guy who claimed himself as Black Gordon Ramsay and 4 Stars General? As the competition going through, he learns to be mature and even got to Black Jacket. He's also one of the nicest Blue Team Member along with Petrozza and Louross. The others are assholes especially Matt, the guy that made Chef Ramsay vomitted with his signature dish, exotic tartare and Ben, the guy that Chef Ramsay told how shit he was.
Joseph and one of his famous lines,
"i'M nOt No BiTcH !¡!"
The year is 2018. Jen came back and was eliminated during the second service after accusing Ramsay of sabotaging her.

She deserved to be sent packing. She forgot she was in Chef Ramsey's kitchen. Gordon would gain nothing by sabotaging her.
Jen just blew any business she had out of the water.

Yeah, I watched that. I was stunned. She got a SDR after having a relatively successful performance in season 4.
Two things:
1) Let us recognize that 3 contestants on this list were from the same season (season 8)
2) How is Ms. Manners with no proper training, yet who owns a cooking school (Colleen), not on this list?

Thier looking at both cooking skills and attitude. Collen was a shit cook but you gotta admit her composure and positivity was some of the best ever
Season 4 had three as well with matt the baby, jason the pig and *jen*
Colleen was incompetent (Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach). But she got along with others and kept the mood positive.
Colleen definitely shouldn't be on this list
Man, even Kevin from Season 6 was more humble than Russell Kook II. He at least accepted his loss and showed his kid that as long as you work hard, you’re not a loser.
At the start Russell was civil to some degree. I think Raj stripped most of that away.
That is how you handle defeat Justin from season 10 also handled losing very well

Dr. Bright tbh I’m ok with Raj #2. Lacey was in top 10 while Raj only lasted 3 episodes. Lacey sucked for the entire time she’s in. While Raj’s craziness is more crazy than Lacey, Lacey has been a bitch and lazy the entire time she’s in the kitchen. She never cared and had ZERO confidence. At least Raj tried.

Just finished season 8 of Hell's Kitchen. I honestly felt so satisfied to see Russell fall into second place. I despised his overall attitude towards everyone around him so watching him become really salty about losing was fantastic to see.
I think what Gordon really thought about was this...who would work for that guy if he was in charge of a team...people would soon quit because of his attitude, he’d be a nightmare to work with because any authority he got went straight to his big head...Nona was a lot more humble! 👍
Even Bryant from Season 13 who also had anger issues (remember the time he was screaming to his teammates and said "Come on, bro", "I'm speaking with you like a grown ass man") and looked pissed for 24 hours most of the time took his loss as runner up graciously and even congratulate LaTasha for winning. When he kicking out Frank from the kitchen in final dinner service, he didn't yell at him and Frank accepted his defeat.
Lol I love how three of these chefs were brought back in season 17 and 18. 🤣

News Flash: Robyn and Benjamin were better in Season 17. Elise still had an attitude. Jen crossed the line in Season 18 by arguing with Chef Ramsay which led to her early elimination.
Am I the only one that doesn't hate Elise. She was horrible in season 9 but she was much better in season 17. 3/10 which isn't good but she's not horrible.

RJ SILS Robyn was way worse than Barbie. I won’t deny that Barbie started some drama, such as with the loud dishes early in the morning; but a lot of the time she had to defend herself from the gate she got from others. Christina and Dana were better, but I’d say Barbie was less trouble-causing than Robyn, Kimmie and Tiffany.

If anything you have a better chance to stay in the competition if you have a stronger personality even if it's a bad one. And you gotta be honest, Jen was a better chef them Louross and besides the fact she wasn't very likeable, she could cook (Kinda comparable to Elise). She deserved to make it to black jackets ranked on cooking skills alone. I love Louross a'lot and he's one of my favorites this season but I feel his placement if perfect and anything before or after would be forced and undeserved.

He actually cooked very well, but he just had one little moment. I'm also questioning his role as a marine. I keep hearing people say that marines are normally level-headed and trained to control their emotions. A blowup like, I also heard, will get you discharged. Mike Aresta deserves a mention as well. To start, Raj at least cooked everything in his signature dish while Mike cooked everything from a package with premade tortellini pasta and canned tomatoes. In addition he always dodged punishments and never gave any significant assistance aside from stirring already finished entrees and serving the orders he didn’t cook.
