Thanks, in 1991 i got the original version, i got the 2017/18 also, i never use it, but the 2024 version. The are exact the original in my head. I like the air 180. Its child feeling!
Like Rambo some pices must be missing from memory 😅. It might be the closest to shape so far but the color is not even the same (the midsole is also too thick)
Here in Europe there is almost zero chances to get these shoes for retail prices. I got my concorde back 2014 in the US on sale as these shoes are not so popular overthere.

But it trips me out on how so many are so into these details and Nike collectors have come a long way since 91. What I don’t like is the trim that painted on and chips off easy. I wish instead of painting, they just used colored plastic, but that would take more time and cost more money in labor.
I remember very well when those dropped over 30 years ago. The air pocket was the shiz! My favorite shoe aside from the AJ 4, is the air solo flight 1989. They have never retroed this shoe in the color i had. There's just something special about them.

Seriously I don’t get it sometimes, the book could tell the consumer all about the technology, also the “hard window” would be explained for the people that never had the OG because 2005-2018 have always had the exposed small air bag. It just doesn’t make sense . The paperwork would make the pack complete .

The og looked like a sleek, fast running shoe. The new version looks chunky and more like an am90 due to the thick midsole under the forefoot. Great review though and im still buying them

Bought the OG in early ‘92 and have been waiting since for the proper size air unit to come back. Each to their own, but I thought all of the reissues so far were an embarrassment, missing the thing that makes a 180 a 180. Swoosh looks bad though. IIRC Nike got stung with a patent infringement on the large air unit and had to withdraw the 180 from sale. Must have been a 30 year exclusion.
Only 8 more day's too go, 12 I was when I first saw these, couldn't afford them, but everytime I went to my local shopping centre, id spend ages just looking at them and that's what got me into Nike air, I ended up buying the Air max 4's or BW's as they're known now. That air unit and the square looks worse on the photos than the actual live videos of them. Going buy 3 pairs of these ones in this colour way, hopefully anyway. Any ideas when the inverted pair are due for release? Them ones I'd wear pretty much everyday because atleast they won't get as dirty as the ultramarine one's. Waited since 91 for these and now it's happening, can't wait.

Funny hearing you mentioning they are comparable BW which probably means they aren't that comfortable at first but will break in a bit and comfort isn't really going to be an issue later on. Nice review. I think you're being a bit too lenient on the swoosh. Especially when you look against the OG photos you referenced. I mean, its a their logo, how'd they f. That up?! Still planning to cop move ~2018s on. Will only consider a double-up if they hit sales racks. Here's hoping!
People not caring about that glue stain is exactly why Nike's QC doesn't get better. I bet others will receive pairs like that when they drop, too. "...a one-to-one copy of the original"...goes on to show how Nike didn't even get the Swoosh right. Also: Swoosh > "check"

I do not want to buy that many shoes anymore and end up like this guy in my 50s with closets full of random old shoes that are about to fall apart. Young people be aware new shoes do not actually last forever it is generally a 10 year investment until they start to fall apart not a good investment at all.
Og heads don’t care about a roi or shoes falling apart! It’s about the hunt, getting them, experiencing the same feeling as back then and preserving and/or wearing them. Different game! And pls note that my man @forsy23 is in it’s early 40’s and most certainly not in his 50’s! 😂
And just be clear I collect vintage sneakers to bring back memories as a kid. The fun part is finding the old sneakers even if they are falling apart. Also I am 43, 2 kids and a beautiful wife. Life is pretty good! Oh I also have KITT from knight rider. Appreciate the feedback nonetheless the less 👍

I have the og 180 olympique from 1992, & the air bubble are soft not so hard!
Well they are hard but not as hard as the retro I guess but it’s not squishy like feeling the actual air bag
