- It is finally done! After a year and a half (yes really) of admittedly more than a few setbacks, my first hosted reanimate jam is finally here! Twenty-seven animators have collabed to reanimate the classic Merry Melodies cartoon Duck Amuck, which was planned using the Twitter hashtag #duckamuckjam and the matching Twitter account. I thank all the talented and patient animators who took part in this endeavor.
If this video is taken down by UA-cam, there will be a second link to watch it on another site.

2:20 with the rapid flashes of ALL Daffy's iconic costume changes throughout the course of his career was a nice touch.
AND DESIGNS
The Frozen part made me laugh
Me too 😂
I was absolutely DYING at that part.
When I first saw that part I was "He's wearing a white turban and shooting things?"...it wasn't until the second playthrough I realized "Oh...Frozen reference"
Yeah that was the absolute best part
What made me laugh was when Daffy pulled in Darkwing Duck from off screen. I was not expecting that.
'Duck Amuck' was already one of the greatest cartoons in history, but the changing animation styles add a fresh splash of even more creativity and unique visuals to Daffy's best work.
Bonus points to whoever's idea to add an Aggretsuko reference.
Ooooo, absolutely! And I practically thought a standout scene was when the guitar was making that machine gun sound and simultaneously you actually could see Daffy's evolution as himself! (I literally had to slow that scene down!)🤓😁👍
@@jasonjohnson3290 so did I! I was able to spot I think 4 iconic costumes from Daffy’s career. The Scarlet Pumpernickel, Duck Dodgers of the 24th and a half century, Robin Hood, and Duck Dodgers from the tv series. And even the standard outfit the animator has Daffy wearing in this scene is Droop Along Daffy!
That and the Robin Hood are classics.
I just wish Bugs Bunny’s “ain’t I a stinks” bit was still there!
Still a fun piece of work to watch!
3:07 Oh my gosh I love the expressions in this bit. Warners, hire this person NOW!!!
and Warner sister.
Same
Current artist of new cartoon bluehilda
@@azinyefantasy4445 OMG I can't believe I didn't recognize the style. I loved the artwork for Bluehilda
Ah, the old "Multi-billion-dollar conglomerate, hire this one person on the internet, NOW!!!" comment. One of the classics.
3:49 captures the spirit of the 50's cartoons PERFECTLY. They even added a mimic-dry brush affect which looks amazing
I think Chuck Jones would have approved. After all he did The Dover Boys.
I assumed this would end with every animator involved in one shot, declaring in unison, "Gee....ain't I a stinker?"
Honestly, that would've been better! Borderline adorable, even!
3:07 Well, I gotta say it: THIS is objectively the best animated in this whole collab.
I agree
1:29 Is cleaner. 3:07 jumps between 1s and 2s a lot more. And I mean that specifically: To keep animation clean, you keep those jumps minimized. Some bits demand 1s; some demand 2s. If there are moments when a 1s sequence meets a 2s sequence, fine, just _don't find yourself alternating between the two on every third frame._ That's what leads to animation not looking clean.
Despite the weird twist ending this was still a pretty reanimated collab.
Thank you! The idea for the ending was that it was going to be vastly different from the usual twist to the point where it would even have different audio, but the animator chose to go with his own version.
@@andrewkful So, either the twisted ending was planned all along? If it is about Bugs Bunny tasting his own medicine (as the twist ending shows), I can see why.
@@TheCommenterSam It was actually whatever. I just wanted it to be different from the cartoon.
@@andrewkful Understandable. I like the ending of this collab as it is because of a fight-back feeling to it, especially since I feel sorry for Daffy.
I think I caught a case or fight-or-flight at the first sign they were deviating from the timeline
The animators who did that frozen one and the one at 3:08 are so professionally animated. They’re really outstanding.
Overall a really excellent collab!
100% agree, I’d love to see more loony tunes come from this artist, they seem to understand the characters really well too.
1:12 You already did TheAudio.
@@djphat94 i agree 2
It looks like actual Looney tunes
Here, here!
This is even more post-modern than the original and I LOVE it.
Fun fact: The person that animated the scene at 3:08 used to be an animator for Superjail. Cool to see an animator for TV being part of a UA-cam thing.
He's still at the same studio!
He's also responsible for the epic short "Bluehilda." Which has a similar air of literal zaniness.
Oh, no wonder. It's the best looking shot.
Superjail...was quite a drug trip I'll say. Not for the faint of heart. Enjoyable if you like dark humor and gratuitous blood and gore. Had a great theme song too
@@glowworm2 I honestly miss that kind of "zaniness." It's not common to see a true loony tune in this day and age.
2:21 Daffy Duck evolution.
My god your right
Nice scarlet pumpernickel duck dodgers and daffy hood
It didn't have his Danger Duck form
@@gusgarcia-arellano4604
Guess again.
2:29
5:34 LMAO at Darkwing Duck's cameo
I get it. Their all ducks.
And there voices are a bit similar
Like Darkwing Voice is basically daffy
Without the tough sound
1:22 my new nightmare for a few years
3:07 - 3:27 is my favorite one. Th animator really captured the spirit of Looney Tunes.
2:21 the following daffys
1. Two strip daffy
2. 30s daffy
3. Early 40s daffy
4. Between early and mid 40s daffy
5. Between mid and late 40s daffy
6. Scarlet pumpernickel daffy
7. Modern daffy
8. Duck dodgers
9. Robin Hood daffy
10. 60s daffy
11. Body snatcher daffy
12. 2000s duck dodgers
13. Modern/angler daffy
I think you missed "Scarlet Pumpernickel" Daffy!
@@ToonGal12 yeah I realize that too but thanks
Damn 60's daffy hits different
Followed by a cameo of NLT Daffy as the hooting guitar
the daffy timeline: all in one second
My favorite segment has to be 3:07, it's so well made and expressive. If a new 2D looney tunes were made, this animator should work on it. Great work everyone!
6:18 Under a spreading chestnut tree, the village smithy stands. The smith's mighty a man as his with strong and sinewy (EXPLODES)....hands...
Yep, it’s Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s “The Village Blacksmith.”
Major props to all involved! On par with Dover Boys reanimated in terms of visual creativity in my book.
That is high praise to me! Thank you so much!
Hai Broda
NIcely done to all the animators but I gotta say, James Sugrue (jimgrueistweet) came out SUPER STRONG with his segment! Fantastic job!
James works at Titmouse. He's amazing!
@@andrewkful A titmouse employee ? No wonder his stuff was good, those guys are badass!
I absolutely LOVE his style of drawing Daffy and his expressions, definitely one of the highlights of this. It's incredible!
It reminds me of Bob Clampett and Tex Avery's animation style.
3:07-3:27 That was my favorite
Mine too I wish can animate like that
@@VloggingWithScoota same
And 3:50
2:22 i like how it go though daffy history quickly
the two obviously silly bits
6:42 daffy: **pulls out uno reverse card**
6:47 porky: th-bdibdibdi- **logo shows up**
also porky: oh come on!
6:43 Bugs Bunny: Ain’t I a sti-
Daffy Duck: (Holds the door) If you can’t beat ‘em, BEAT ‘EM!
Hahaha!!
I remember an episode of Wabbit where Daffy actually gives Bugs a taste of his own medicine. I find it funny in an ironic sort of way that Bugs does the whole sadistic artist bit once and later gets screwed over twice by not only Daffy but Elmer Fudd as well; two of his most hapless adversaries.
@@Matewolo9290 Let me guess, Looney Tunes Rabbit Fire.
@@ethan.aproductions5159 I was thinking more of 'Rabbit Rampage' from the original Looney Tunes shorts (Elmer) and the 'One Carroter in Search of an Artist' episode from season 2 of Wabbit/New Looney Tunes (Daffy).
Daffy: Woo-Hoo, Woo-hoo, Woo-hoo, Woo-Hoo!
4:18 LMFAO 😂😂🤣🤣
“This is a close up? A CLOSE UP YOU JERK, A CLOSE UP!!”
Thanks for the sour persimmons, cousin.
*This is a cool vlog*
Said by UA-cam
Now, look, buster... let us have an understanding.
(top falls on Daffy)
Now what?
(a stick is drawn next to him)
Brother. What a way to run a railroad.
6:43 How Duck Amuck Should Have Ended
Daffy looks a little too good as Elsa.
Like, "Bugs as Marilyn Monroe" too good.
That's not a complaint though.
1:29 OH MY GOD! Ever there ever needed to be a Frozen 2 fake-out moment a year or two ago, it didn't need to be from Wreck It Ralph, it needed to be this right here with Daffy sporting the biggest troll face! I can just watch this on repeat all day.
Dude like Season 2 of the new Animaniacs has to make fun of Frozen!
1:19 This made me drop dead
Ouuuu….
5:16 my animation!
You did a great job!!!
4:26 animated FMV to ingame
3:15 was impressive as hell, it looked modernized instead of a full reanimation.
1:41
🎶Farewell to thee
Farewell-a to-a thee
The wind will carry back our sad refrai-hai-hai-hai-hai-hain
One last embrace before we say...🎶
OMG I was dying at the Daffy dressed as Elsa. Just like the collab of The Dover Boys, this is effing incredible! Kudos to all the talented people who had a hand in making this collab! You all deserve a standing ovation.
Thank you!
@@andrewkful Duck Amuck is probably my most favourite Looney Tunes short, so I had very high hopes, and I was definitely NOT disappointed. I've already watched this so many times I've lost count.
2:20 and 3:07 were the best parts in my honest opinion.
Yes!!!
And the Frozen one
Hey, we see Darkwing Duck!!!!
To the person at 3:09 I must say this, I would genuinely love to see you do a full version of this cartoon. Like holy crap, the expressions and bounciness of Daffy is impeccable. Hell, get some looney tunes character impersonators and you can make your own short. Like this feels like the original animation style modernized but with the charm in tact
1:30 The new Frozen 3 Trailer looks awesome!
3:29 I love this interpretation of how you'd show digital cut-out techniques!
4:11
I'll fight anyone who says this isn't the best part of this, whether it's the original or this version.
3:12 Lucky Duck
The animation at 3:10 reminds me of Cow and Chicken.
@Joe Adams It can’t be Ed, Edd N’ Eddy without the shaky outlines :)
They're all interesting in their own way, but 3:07 is my favorite.
So smooth.
Was not expecting the Aggretsuko part at 2:10 . Hilarious!
It’s always duck season.
I don’t think so 6:43 haha
5:42 DuckHame-Ha. Lol
5:43 Ducky-hameha
Nice use of the Frozen reference.
wb finds out this version is funnier than theirs like 2:51
5:02 Aw man a missed opportunity to have a UA-cam end video fakeout
5:03 NO NO 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was great. Instant favorite.
Thanks!
@@andrewkful Your very welcome.
I’m with you, Joey!!
2:51 everybody’s reaction to extreme outrage over a number of annoying situations
Congratulations to all the artists for a job well done! The diverse techniques and expertise displayed is magnificent.
I’m particularly impressed by TheAudio’s variety of styles employed from the composite and geometric 2d body,
to cg igloo, digital painting and even puppetry!
HenryEd did a fantastic job conveying surprise, bewilderment, and annoyance through Daffy’s eyes.
I love Brian Winkler’s soft outlining and color, as well as all the liquid splashes and motion lines.
Replacing the original editing gags such as 1:47, 3:07, 3:28, 6:10 and 6:21 with computer tools is visually clever
and modernizes the reanimation.
Thank you Andrew, for assembling this wonderful work of art. I’m sure the difficulty in coordinating so many artists was
grueling at times, so I applaud your perseverance. Keep it up and stay frosty!
2:21 basically all of daffy history
3:08 I really like the art style
3:07 All the animators did a fantastic job, but this one was my favorite. I love how the expressions just flow and carry the character. The fluidity is just amazing.
2:20 This would have to be my favorite part as well. Adding all the different Daffy designs was such a work of sheer genius.
😂🤣 Chuck Jones would be laughing his a** off if he could see this!
Hey, there I am at 2:35. A solid reanimate job from everyone. Way more references to Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers than I expected. Cheers to Mr. Kaiko.
Can you tell me who that black and white bird is I know I have seen him before but I can’t remember what from

You gotta love how this is adapted to the digital age of animation - tablet styluses rather than pens, pencils and paint brushes.
4:42 me in my Freshman year at High school
3:50 - 4:08 was my personal favorite part of this episode. Love the episode in general though.
Hey! Thanks, man! Always good to hear some feedback on a project, specifically the scene I animated on.
1:32 the best part is when you drew him as Elsa😂😂😅
The @ at the bottom left corner is the artist...
3:40 is really funny because I am laughing so hard.
3:20 🎨😠
3:07 Wow, that's an animation, I'll tell ya!
4:54 everybody snapping under extreme pressure
I dont know who this 'TheAudio' guy is, but his style screams ''Total Chaos'' I like it!
yep
The part at 0:58 when Daffy was holding a sandwich talking into the mic “Stand Back Musketeers!”….I LOST IT!!!!!! 😂🤣 But that was very creative tho…one of my most favorite Daffy Duck Episodes
Great cameo appearances from
Darkwing Duck, Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig
@ 5:35, 6:43, & 6:47
I love that there are so many references and uses of digital cartoon making like drawing pens and copy-paste functions.
2:21 WAS SO COOL
6:43 I animated the ending a long time ago. Thankfully, my animation isn’t as bad as it was back then. Proud of all the other animators who worked on this. They did a fantastic job 😊 (btw I abandoned that old twitter account)
I'll change the username if I ever upload tihs elsewhere.
@@andrewkful ok thanks!
here’s what you basically know
this alternate ending was added in order to avoid copyright restrictions

6:18
Under a Spreading Chestnut Tree
The Village Smithy Stands
The Smith, a mighty man is he
With strong and sinewy hands
I've always wonder what he said during that part. Thanks 😉
Some of these animators feel like they are the reincarnations of the Termite Terrace. As for the humor, I actually prefer this over the original short. And seeing as though this is my favorite Daffy Duck cartoon, THAT is saying something!
3:07 This artists deserves to be the next big animator at WB. The creative talent on display here is incredible.
My therapist: Elsa Daffy isn't real, he can't hurt you
Elsa Daffy: 1:29
All things considered, I think Daffy kept his cool longer then one in that situation would normally.
3:08 if you're wondering why this one is so good, the animator works for titmouse, and has animated for superjail
One of the greatest Looney Tunes episodes of all time.
1:22 Demented duck puppet: "Would it be too much to ask if we could make up our minds, hmm?"
Me: "Wow, that got real!" 😳
4:07 I love this part. Where blue paint is water.
Thanks, that was my scene
3:09 oh my... amazing , just amazing ❤
That ending twist really got me!
Didn’t expect Bugs to be defeated, this time around!
My personal favorites are 2:20 and 3:06
3:43 he should use the F word
4:23 a close-up you mother f#@
4:24 Who here remembers Mad Duck Productions? You know, the video that was taking some of UA-cam by storm? Yeah, That's the one.
1:30 brilliant! 😆🤣
HenryEd and James Sugrue's parts are probably my favorite. James Sugrue is also responsible for the Bluehilda short. His animation style is such a great blend of unique and classic wrapped all into one.
2:21 going through so many versions of Daffy Duck from roles he was in to the actual changes in his art style and the one from "Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers" fake one! YES SO AWESOME!
My Favourite Parts
1:29
2:08 to 2:48
3:07 (I just noticed it is done by the guy who did Bluehilda)
6:18 and 6:25 Spreading chestnut tree
everyone did a good job. lots of jokes and styles
What a twisted ending!
But great job, everyone!
Between the changing scenes & the changing costumes, this gives me a lot of vibes to "Princess Peach Showtime".
2:21 Daffy Duck through the years
3:07 My favorite animation piece in this whole video.
3:11--Love what you did there.
3:20--Wow, this freak out is funny
While I love the classic episode, this one is also better too. Nice job!
6:47 They took my JOB!
Man, I love the reference to all of his earlier designs.
3:08 God damn... that segment was so well animated. O_o
Love how Daffy becomes a fat Santa when he goes ho ho
