- As an institution of higher education committed to developing leaders of character, we have a responsibility to demonstrate what it means to treat others with dignity and respect. The faces around here have changed over the years, but our graduates have always inspired others. They have fought bravely in wars, stood on Olympic podiums, served in Congress and flown in space. Soon we will have the opportunity to be the new faces leading the way. And they will be the most diverse to date.

Good luck man; just remember it's only 6 weeks; not a long time; get in good shape before then and you'll be fine. Run every day and do your pullups!
Hey, I'd like to ask, how did you get in? What advice would you tell a high school student who is interested in going to the USAFA?
@@victorking3456 from 9th grade on, a) get the best grades you can; b) participate in some kind of regular community service every year of high school; c) play sports you excel in and do the best you can in them, each year of high school; letter if you can and be captain if able; d) stay out of trouble - no alcohol, no drugs; e) read everything you can about USAFA; get motivated to BE there; imagine it; think about it every day; make it your dream; f) get recommendations from influential people in the community who believe in you, be it teachers, clergy, judges, etc - let these people know how much you want to be a cadet and then an officer in the United States Force; g) stay in shape; I can't emphasize running, running, running every day, and likewise, doing these three: Push-ups, Sit Ups, and Pull Ups, year round, at least every other day. h) Take a prep course for the SAT so that you get your best score on it; i) Lastly, don't let anyone tell you can't do it, that you can't get in, that you can't go there; if you prepare for it and if you believe in it with all your might, you'll get there. Just keep in mind though, the place is no picnic. You'll work harder there than you ever have in your life, and may ever will. Good luck.

You guys reminded me what it means to be cadet in both academy's and rotc i wish i can go to the airforce academy but am unfit for service physically and mentally i wish to serve my nation on permanent basis if there is away i would like to know about it thank you for both future and present and past services

It’s a school tho. Yes they become airmen but most people get supportive jobs like AF photography journalist. The education part deserves equality and diversity, that’s just college 🤷♀️

3 things: 1) Contrary to popular belief, the Chinese military is diverse. They are diverse is ways that many westerners might not recognize. 2) The US military has been diverse from the beginning. Even in the face of people who tried to block the service of "non-whites" and women. Diversity was ALWAYS evident. 3)Perhaps you should enlist in a totalitarian military. Nazi Germany proved that a "pure race" mode was a fast tract to failure.
You’re missing the commenter’s point. Diversity shouldn’t matter in the sense that race shouldn’t matter. It’s racist to say we need racial diversity. The military should be colorblind. Hitler was not colorblind.
