While enlisted spent nearly half of a four-year hitch in training. After completing the last tech school had a month's leave before going to first duty assignment in Korea. Stayed there until ETS.

After Tech School, you have to leave to report to your first duty station. What do you do there? And how do you become a pilot? I heard about the USAFA but, I’m not sure how you apply. Is BMT and Tech School required to go to USAFA? I also heard about USAFAPS. Is USAFAPS required to go to USAFA? I have so many questions. I’m really confused.

Well that’s fine. 10% of the year is more than a month but it’s still counterintuitive to not be able to use them when we feel like it. I’m excited to get through those two months of hardening and be in tech school. EAD Dec 10. Great video

This is helpful bc I graduate tech school dec 18 and need to start my pics package to leave. Also my schoolhouse just changed the rules to where we wear abus to graduate not blues. Which I found interesting

Video helped a lot.. I have a question.. I ship out for basic May 30 but I have a baby on the way. I know I’m going to miss the birth but I want to be able to go home after basic training before I go to tech school is that possible with the RAP program ?
If family wants to visit when you first get to your first duty station can you sleep off of base or is there a curfew? Or can you not go off of base right away?

So if you are able to get approved for RAP/Recruiter's assistant they do not fly you out? I'm currently in the west coast(NorCal) and am expecting to be in Mississippi. Most likely will have to buy a car as well, unless you can buy airplane tickets and there's some kind of middle ground/compromise for reimbursement?

My daughters tech school is 1 month. From school does she go straight to her duty station? I'm confused about the "rap" you were talking about.
Recruiters assistance program is not mandatory but it’s an option if she talks to a recruiter about it and does the paperwork to get it approved.
If the recruiter is in one location where I use to live but moved, can I use a different recruiter where my family lives for RAP?
When's the first big chance to pick up your vehicle from home? after BMT? Or after Tech school?
It depends on how long your tech school is. You’re allowed to have your car after a certain amount of time in tech school, but it’s not always worth it to bring it to tech school. Some people wait until after.
@@Brittanylynnlewis ok, thanks, I gotcha. I was trying to figure out, if I enlisted, if it would be best to just sell my truck first, or try to come back and get it at the first opportunity. If I cant pick it up in the first 4 months, I'd probably sell it. I have no one to really use it, or maintain it for me while I'm gone.

If i go on RAP, can i use my GTC to go to my Duty base in Shaw AFB, SC from my recruiting station in new jersey or i have to do it from my tech school in Texas?
I lived in Sumter SC. Worked at the call center, there's a recruiting station beside the call center. Never walked in. Regretting it I'm 34. I have a felony from 2007 sold 2 dime bags of marijuana to undercover police. Never smoked weed in my life. Was not sure if I could get it. Still on the fence. I'm getting older. I want to join up.
When do you find out where your first duty/base is? Is it during tech school or at the very end of it?

@@Brittanylynnlewis Some things never change, i.e. AF Sponsor Program is/has been eyewash at best. I only had the pleasure of one decent sponsor at seven different bases...and I've been retired for 19 years.

Stephanie Hernandez she said she won’t tell people cuz she wants privacy but In previous videos when she was talking about the asvab out around that time she said intel operation is the job she got. And pretty sure she in Maryland now for duty station

You should be able to take RAP with any recruiter. :)
