Dear @harshxsp - the modern data analytics make use of advanced tools such python, tableau , R etc. as substitution of excel. That means all excel analytical properties can be achieved using them but one can not achieve automation using excel. overall, knowing excel is good (few companies are using them religiously) however, other companies do not count them as a must to know skill but as a common known skills.
