Yes. Technically it's possible to reschedule appointment to earlier date from original slot. But, you may not get to see earlier slots often not because it's not supported (as I cleared before) but due to high demand of slots. As every minutes 1000s students seek earlier slot availability, its high chance that you will not see earlier availability. As an alternative solution, you can request for F1 VISA Emergency Appointment. Once EA request approved, you will get earlier slot for guaranteed. Please validate EA request eligibility thoroughly. @@greatwall2283 I understand it now. Unfortunately, nothing can be done in this situation except waiting for new slots to be added. This is not admission season so mostly like slots are not added. I would recommend to get in touch with USA consulates officers or follow their news to find out when new slots would be added. To proactive to book your slot then.

If you have already got confirmation letter after submission of DS160 you need not create a new. However, if you still want to then create a new using existing/old confirmation ID. It will copy most of the info from your form.

Your case is similar to most other. You can do two things at this time. 1) If you haven't submitted your DS-160 then update this DS160 with new SEVIS/university details. No further action. 2) If you have already submitted DS160 then fill a new DS160 and in this form add new SEVIS/university details. For biometric interview carry this (new) DS160 confirmation page and to the VO officer mention that you have changed SEVIS/university after F1-VISA slot booking. That's all you have to do. @@dsconcept20 Thank you so much for the instant response. I have not submitted my ds-160 yet. I have updated the ds-160 with the new sevis id from University Y. But in the travel docs , I previously had a different university say X and today booked the slots. Now in the travel Docs i don't see an option to update the sevis id to Y university. It just has option for ds-160 confirmation number. Do i need to take any action now or if not ,can i submit the ds-160 with the updated university. Will that automatically get updated in us travel docs

@@caroline5978 hey Caroline, what i got to know is that you can go and update the ds-160 directly with the new sevis id and no need to worry what you have filled previously in ustraveldocs. And during the biometric day you can inform the same that initially you have applied using i20 of a different university and updated the sevis id of the new university in the ds-160 for a safer side. Firstly, Congratulations on your marriage!! In case, fill a new ds160 form with new university details and carry this form confirmation page to biometric interview. To the VO officer mention that you have changed university after slot booking. Rest would be taken care by vo officer. The bar code given on your passport will be with new university details. Done!

It depends. If you have already booked your VISA slot then you can not change DS160 confirmation Number on CGI portal else you can. In the former case, carry copy of new DS160 C. Number to F1-VISA interview and follow the steps shared in the video. Best of luck!

Dear @harshxsp - the modern data analytics make use of advanced tools such python, tableau , R etc. as substitution of excel. That means all excel analytical properties can be achieved using them but one can not achieve automation using excel. overall, knowing excel is good (few companies are using them religiously) however, other companies do not count them as a must to know skill but as a common known skills.

If you've already booked an appointment you can not update cgi portal details. This is where we need help from VO officers. You can only create a new DS160 form and go with this form during your visa. mention to the VO officer that you have changed the university details after VISA slot booking and you want the new university to be considered. They will take care.

@@Manoj-vg3cc Include them in new DS160 form. So this is what you have to do. Create a new ds160 form. Update new university sevis and name in this form. Carry confirmation page of this form to your interview. Inform the VO officer of the form changes.

Dear @SunilKumar - I will recommend to call "customer care representative". They are authenticate source of any VISA related queries. Yet, in my opinion it could be some change in policies as per which once refused candidate may have barred from booking slots for a fixed duration of time.
