I use a MLCS Billy pedal 15 amp #415-9080. There are a lot out there that will work but I have used this over 10 years and have had no problems with it.

I do not have a dust collection system, other than my wet/dry vac for clean up after the project. My scroll saw blower does a nice job keeping dust off my project.
Just found your channel. This was helpful info! I'm new to scrolling. I find the guard piece to be in the way and notice you don't use it. Any feedback for me?
It really is a personal choice. Because the scroll saw runs up and down, it is much safer than a bandsaw or table saw which is only one direction of cutting. I feel it is easier to see your work without the guard. It is a matter of how comfortable you feel but the companies do suggest the guard. Hope this helps.

The Dewalt 788 will accept 5 inch blades . It may need adjusted. You may need to call Dewalt or consult the manual for adjustment. Good luck.

I changed to pegas because my blades kept slipping. It helped a great deal.
