"..his wife must be happy!" 🤣🤣 LMFAO!!!!
Yeah! I died laughing!
Italy is always making fast things: Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Fleshgod Apocalypse.
but feraris and lambos are the lastest crap. cheap plastic low quality nothing special too expensive....
Don't forget Pagani lol
@@beurtalvarez what do you listen to?
@@beurtalvarez Isn’t all music noise though?
@@beurtalvarez "Isn’t technically profound" Fleshgod Apocalypse is pretty technical, if you ask me. Same can be said with Archspire, Beyond Creation, Obscura, and Rings Of Saturn. There’s a reason why it’s called Tech-Death just saying.
The drummer played 17.8 notes a second with his feet just so you understand the sheer insanity and the song is about 70 bpm faster than any dragon force song
Basically, Francesco Paoli is following the orchestra with the blast beat. That's (one of) the most impressive drum performance I've heard
have you never heard dragonforce - the game? It is 240bpm
@@Tactix_se the violation is 270bpm
@@Tactix_se esatto...270bmp...like a gutlin gun 😂
@@Tactix_se yup and the violation is 270 lol its actually insane
One thing i learned about life: If you play an instrument, there's probably an italian (or asian) playing it better than you
Never doubt yourself, we all may be a statistic somewhere, but we all have our own personalities and have our nuances and can play certain things better than others!
or canada
can vouch the other guitarist in my band is Italian and shits all over me
GRAZIE...questo è davvero un bel complimento.abbiamo tanti difetti ma quando facciamo qualcosa lo facciamo bene😉
@@jumadj76 very very true my friend
Studies actually show that metal listeners appreciate classical music more than others and have a propensity to listen to it
Cause classical music is awesome when you're in the mood
Classical music is metal of the past ;)
I'm also learning Vivaldi pieces on electric guitar for the last few months
It's because we love complex music and the journey It creates while listening!!!!
If the great Classical Composer's of the past had the equipment of today, could imagine how amazing the music would be.
Imagine the faces of all the people who recommended this song, knowing EXACTLY what they were doing.
I was one of them lol
Same haha Though now I am also wondering what's the BPM for the drums in that song
Haha Yep!
@@SpiderJerusalemJr 270
thank you. this warmed my depressed havent showered in 2 weeks heart.
didnt ask for this song but in love this song so im exactly the same when i saw this lol
best thing about fleshgod..thats how they sound live
Big facts. I was kinda scared the first time I saw them, they’re one of my favorite bands and I didn’t want a bad live performance to ruin them for me, but they didn’t disappoint.
"how can he be doing it for that long" power of spaghetti my friend.
The best part is the drummer is now their guitarist and lead singer.
I think he had only been drumming around 10 years when he was doing that too so insane progression
funfact, before he was the drummer, he already was the vocalist/guitarist.
Francesco madman
Fun fact : As of this album release, he only had playing drums for 2 years. He's a legend. I think he trained around 8 hours per day.
Francesco founded the band
Heard this live, they sold pasta and wine at the venue, was a great evening.
I got very drunk off their wine in Bristol in 2016 😁
@@SingingPhatpants they actually sell pasta and wine?
@@jai9587 yep! Not sure if they still do
@@SingingPhatpants damn
'He's not stopping!'
Wait til he finds out that most of their songs are this fast and they play full speed live lol
Was at their concert yesterday in Hong Kong 😆 this song is 🫠 orgasmic
"He Is Not Stopping!"
I have been waiting for that line for so long without even knowing, lmao.
The drummer for this song is now the vocalist and guitarist, the man can go anything!
when I saw them live I was shocked they actually tour with their own standup piano
Yeah, he was originally the guitarrist and vocalist on their debut (Oracles). He was also the singer for another powerful death metal band from Italy, Hour of Penance.
Even makes the best pasta ! Check out his pasta á la Fleshgod Apocalypse tutorial !
I have to say I like Francesco's Growl very much but I couldn't pick one over the other (this here being Tommaso's who was their singer for a long time in between). Tommaso is kind of easy in a good way, raw-but-smooth (can't really describe it), while Francesco just seems more brutal, more ... earthy.
I think he should go back to drumming
Yep, looks like a first reaction to Fleshgod Apocalypse to me 😂
Have you people showed him Carach Angren yet?
The drums you hear is what is called "Blast Beat". It basically means, that a drummer plays the rhythm with a maximum speed on drums. Yes, the drummer does it. And blast beats are glorious. :D
That's absolutely not what it basically means 😂
@@connorbray8009 I know there is a technique behind it, I am a drummer, I just don't know how to describe blast beats best. I was just writing to explain that this type of fast drum beat is a normal thing in death metal. You can describe blast beats the way you want.
Is is very tiring? I heard of double pedals and shit.
@@maehelsinki6464 depends on the blast and depends on the technique you use. If you use full wrist action it can eventually tire you out, especially at the speeds Francesco paoli is doing it. If you use correct technique with your fingers it’s perfectly possible to keep it up for 5 minutes or more at this speed however it’s a hard technique to learn.
As for double kick/bass drumming it also depends on the speed and technique used. For example this drummer uses predominantly swivel but at this speed most would use heel-toe technique
@@spacebory Hey ! As a drummer, I'd like to agree with what you said for the blast beat part ^^ From what I saw from some of his live performances, for the blast beat, he uses different techniques for his left hand and right hand ^^ But about the question of it being tiring, i'd say that (like the double bass drumming) it's pretty much a matter of endurance ^^ But it's a thing that mostly comes from practice x)
However, from those live performances, I saw that Francesco mostly uses the heel-toe technique (° °) But whatever technique he's using for these fast bass drum parts, i'd say that the reason (aside from using proper technique) that he doesn't seem tired is because of conditioning (° °) In a lot of Fleshgod's songs (Kingborn, The Imposition, A million deaths, etc.) we can find those parts, so I think that while practicing, he also focused a lot on how long he could keep playing the parts without tiring or loosing consistency in his sound (° °)
That's pretty logical, I know, but I thought that it could be interesting ^^ Also, sorry if I sounded rude or anything in what I said ^^'
"He's not stopping!"
Alex Hefner, 2021
I lost it when you said “he’s not stopping!” 😂😂😂🤘🏻
Their new drummer is absolutely insane. Please make a reaction of Eugene Ryabchenko. He did a drum cover of this song and he became their new drummer because of it. It's absolutely mind-blowing to watch, even if you're not a drummer
Perfect drummer for them.
@@thewildhealer541 Completely agree with you
Thru our scars is better drum cover from Eugene than this :D
I second this! Eugene's play throughs are insane. There is also a very little known drummer on YT named Franco Almeida Baterista who does a JAW DROPPING play through of The Hypocrisy, *highly* recommended. It's right up there with Eugene, if not better!
And now he is their new drummer🤘🏻🤘🏻
"H" for HAMMERFALL - 'Hearts On Fire' !!!
It's about damn time you discover this swedish Power Metal Band!!
I saw them a year ago with Sabaton. They put on an awesome performance.
Or Hammerfall - 'Blood Bound'!
Good chose.
What about Bushido
For Hammerfall i say Crimson Fire✌
Im so happy it was the version with the extended intro, the build up is so cool
You should check the full album ! It basically crosses songs together and ending of one is the start of another ;)
Ahh, the sweet sound of metal growls. How it soothes the soul.
Gojira - The Art of Dying. Intense buildup, incredible body, perfect outro.
The outro is just on another level. It really stays with you... f o r e v e r.

I’ve seen Fleshgod nine times in person so far, can’t wait to see them again. I miss live concerts.
The drummer, Francesco Paoli, is not actually a drummer but has served as bass player, guitar player, and chef. He just took up drumming duties for a few albums. Really, he’s a master at that heel-toe double technique on the bass drum which actually makes playing this possible. Only their new drummer, Evgeny Ryabchenko can really cope and play things tight and quick. Amazing musicians.
For S, I need Septicflesh, either sangrel or portrait of a headless man
Yes!
Hell yeah! 🤘
Definitely Portrait of a Headless Man, what a song
+1 For Septicflesh here too. If only he could do two songs so we could also show him metal meow mix with Communion lol
Up
Welcome to classical death metal !! You gotta check "The Epilogue" , The Forsaking" , "Monnalisa" or "Push" by them !! Simply an Epic Band
Do you mean “Sugar”?
@@TheBrandizle you're right haha sorry
I'm sorry but it isn't classic, it's extreme metal
This was exactly the reaction I hoped for. I've seen these guys live and it's an immense show, despite how cramped on stage they usually are. In the following album they brought in an Opera singer too!
I was able to see them live a few years ago, and I've never at any other show seen someone turn every head in the building like their drummer did for his WARM UP after sound check. If I hadn't been there myself to see him I never would believe he truly can play that fast that long. The man is a god on drums.
The Violation is one of my favorite death metal songs, thank you for the reaction ;)
Gorgoroth - Carving a giant.
begravelsesnatt lmao
Gorgoroth/Ghaal! Double G. And then he's done God Seed and Ghaal's Wyrd too.. (and he's Gay). Dude likes G's lmao
If Gorgoroth let it be their older stuff like Revelation of Doom
Sign of an Open Eye
If you watch him play live, he switches from left foot to right foot to play the “slower” blast beats so he can give each led a break. The super fast double bass is a technique called heal toe. you can get a quick double stroke out of each foot with a slide of the foot. Super talented and technical speed drummer. He can also play every instrument in the band and has rotated around. Very talented man.
Yaaaaas! So glad you’re finally reacting to them! One of my favorite bands to see live, they fuckin’ kill it every single time. 👏
Part of how the drummer is able to go so fast for so long (on the feet) is a technique called heel-toe, where you roll your foot from back to front on the pedal, which lets you get two hits on the bass drum each time you drop your leg
I never thought I'd see the day that you would tackle Fleshgod... Can't wait to see this one! :)
FULL ALBUM REACTION TO KING BY FLESHGOD DUDE LETS GO
@@derek.invyckb sign me up!!
Same I have literally never been more excited for a reaction video than I was seeing this in my recommendations.
It's funny they're my 3rd favorite band but I get more excited showing people Fleshgod Apocalypse (though I choose Epilogue to introduce them) than I do showing them my top 2, maybe because my top 2 are bands that get a lot of hate well more so my #1 pick it's mostly Metal Elitists that hate Linkin Park which is my 2nd favorite so I got to balance it out the hate with the heaviest Symphonic Metal band out there that there's no way could be hated.
G is for Gojira!
"Toxic Garbage Island"
Or The Gift of Guilt, Art of Dying, Born in Winter.
The way of all flesh is underrated 😂
GORGUTS. Literally anything by GORGUTS!
I am for Gift of Guilt or The Axe. Both are awesome songs.
Absolutely Gojira - Toxic garbage island or Gojira - Art of dying!!!!
For more symphonic sound check out this
[L] - Lorna Shore - Immortal / Death Portrait
[S} - Shadow of Intent - Malediction / Gravesinger
I also recommend
[O] - Orbit Culture - Open Eye / Redfog / Nensha / Saw
I saw these guys a few years ago. They were amazing live. The music was so tight and they were dressed just like they are in the video
[G] Gloryhammer - Rise of the Chaos Wizards
My first time hearing these guys were live actually. I remember they opened up on Summer Slaughter. I was walking through the venue while they were doing a sound check and the drummers blast beats literally stopped me in my tracks. Awesome band. One of my all time favorites. Favorite song from them has to be Cold as Perfection.
G: Gojira, The Art Of Dying or Gift Of Guilt.
Yes! Gift of guilt live at Brixton!
@@ArkaeaFCL3 That's still one of the best live shows I've ever heard, love the ending with The Axe and The Gift of Guilt.
If you were amazed by the drums in this song, your letter "S" band needs to be Septicflesh! A symphonic death metal band from Greece. The song should be "The Vampire of Nazareth".
Septicfleshgod Apocalypse
[G]-GloryHammer: "Questlords of inverness, ride to the galactic fortress."
"Gloryhammer" The unicorn invasion of dundee"
Gojira - The Art Of Dying.
ofc live version
please Galneryus for this time T.T, I think this is the closest chance he could listen to Galneryus, Gojira still have many chances and recommendations T.T
@@tovasstalin2927 True. I've just been wanting him to react to The Art Of Dying ever since he started Gojira.
I'd love to see more Fleshgod Apocalypse with some newer songs, like The Fool, Sugar, Minotaur, or Monnalisa. The classical bits are a bit more prominent and ingrained in the music, which makes it kinda more interesting imo
Monnalisa would show the variety of this band best, but all very solid shouts
only real ones know bout minotaur
Omg I've been waiting for this reaction for two years now! Finally!! 🤩
Just the reaction I wanted to see as well 😆 *mindblown*
G for GWAR - Sick of you
I wish I could upvote this comment a million times. Gwar is metal education that should not be missed.
Gojira - Born in Winter. One of their best song ever IMO
I love them! They are one of my favorite bands 🤘 I’ve seen them live back in 2016, one of the best concert I’ve ever seen in life! The drummer now is the lead singer and guitarist

So glad to see this reaction! This is one of my favorite songs
G for Gloryhammer, Rise of the Chaos Wizards lmao
FleshGod Apocalypse. You should hear Cold As Perfection or Epilogue. My two faves.
I've seen these guys live, and it is exactly as awesome and intense an experience as you would imagine. Highly recommend it if things ever get back to normal.
Thru our scars is a pretty badass one too. Super glad you listened to this band. One of these days you should check out All Shall Perish !!
Francesco Paoli is one of the fastest most brutal drummers out there, you reaction is normal. NOT ONLY THAT but Violation is an older song, right now the drummer actually became the guitarist/vocalist and he's KILLING IT.
If that wasn't crazy enough when the band was created, Francesco (the drummer) was on guitar/vocals. So in summary, he started the band on guitar/vocals, did a perfect transition to drums (what you're seeing now) and later on did another perfect transition to guitar/vocals (present). That man is A BEAST!
H: Heaven Shall Burn - My Heart And The Ocean
Ubermacht would be a better track
Your band choices have been top notch! Got the joys of seeing Fleshgod Apocolypse when I had no idea who they were and they were fantastic.
That drum beat is called a blast beat, and pretty common in metal. The technique is after you hit the snare, your wrist goes up but you let the stick fall on the snare drum while you move up

One of my faves here! I LOVE FLESHGOD APOCALYPSR
Saw them in concert a few years back didn't go with high expectations at the time as I had only just started listening to their music The live show was great a mixture of sheer energy and the fact that they looked really happy to be there
If you are impressed by these drums Alex, i recommend that you someday react to the band Behemoth and their song, Slaves Shall Serve. That song has often been seen as one of the metal songs that has most beats per minute. And while i am not 100% certain i actually think that when the song came out it actually held the guiness world record for most drum beats per minute.

H: HAGGARD - Awaking the Centuries. A metal band with approximately 20 members! You can hear cello, flute, organ, viola, violin, harpsichord, piano, kettledrums, oboe together with the classics: guitar, bass, drums. Vocals can be soprano, tenor, death metal.
Yoooo do Galneryus: Raise My Sword. Amazing Japanese Power Metal.
Hunting for your dream is also really good
but for reaction, Angel of Salvation plsss
G - Gloryhammer: Masters of the galaxy
Definately the way to go!
Its always great when people watch amazing drummers for the first time.
Funny thing about the drummer in this video, Francesco: he used to be the frontman for their first album, then switched to drums shortly afterwards. He was playing drums for maybe a year when this album came out. He switched back to being their frontman in 2017 because he felt more comfortable there, but this dude is a monster all around.
Edit: If you really want your mind blown by his drumming, watch a drum video of him playing the song "Elegy." Francesco himself has said in livestreams that it's incredibly difficult to play and they don't even want to play it live anymore because of how intense it is on drums.
I remember when their Mafia EP came out (there is an octopus on the cover) and some fans commented: "So nice of them to put the drummer's picture as a coverart) xD
for G, we have
Godsmack - Straight Outta Line
Goatwhore - Apocalyptic Havoc
Guano Apes - Open Your Eyes
Gorgoroth - Incipit Satan
Grimaze - Bleeding Earth
anything from Gorgeous Frankenstein, though Doyle's always been rather punk
