The best way to understand it is to think of it kind of like a horror movie set to music. The drummer is playing blastbeats, pretty common in extreme metal, basically it is 16th notes at 200+ bpm on doublebass, snare, and hat, with different variations on it.
@@lucidity7532 i thought it was 290 bpm......at least eugene (drummer for fleshgod apocalypse) said it in one of his reaction videos to someone watching him play this on his drums, i could be wrong tho :D
I'm happy about that you are honest about that it's not your kind off music. There are reactors out there who act like there into it. Exstreme metal is something you get or just not at all. So probs to you for being honest!
Great reaction. Love the honesty. I am a total Fleshgod Apocalypse acolyte if that's what you'd call us hardcore fans lol. I even got my wife into them and we do blast this driving down the street in our Tesla which does throw some people off haha. You should give them at least one more shot with Epilogue. It's tamed way down from this and gives at least me all the feels of a beautiful tragedy if that makes any sense. The video is even beautifully shot.
Oh I’m still open to reacting to them. Just being real with everyone on every reaction. I keep an open mind and I can see the appeal they have. I wanted to run through a brick wall or pick a random fight at a gas station!
@@CliffBeatsOfficial The Violation can be a bit... much... Especially if you're not used to the heavier stuff. I heard The Violation the first time when I'd only listened to metal for about 6 months. It was too much for me. I didn't enjoy it. I revisited the song about a year later after getting used to heavier metal and I loved it. Fleshgod Apocalypse is now one of my favorite bands. Give Epilogue a try. It's a beautiful song.
I saw this band live when they came to Cordoba Argentina in 2017. They are awesome, Francesco Paoli (Drummer) is actual singer now. Francesco Ferrini (Pianist and orchestal composer) is a nice person, we were talking for an hour after the show. Nice reaction !
Yep, Fleshgod Apocalypse is awesome. Understandable for someone who isn't used to this time of heavy music to have a hard time enjoying it. Still not really extreme, tho i guess many people will somehow disagree. No joke tho, if you ever wanna see how hard it is to drum to a band like this, you can always react to "Fleshgod Apocalypse - Thru Our Scars (OFFICIAL DRUM PLAYTHROUGH)", it's on the bands channel. Well, i can't say i honestly expect you to revisit this, since it really doesn't seem like your type. Metal kinda has it's way of creeping up on you and the heavier stuff you listen, the heavier you'll eventually get in to, almost like a drug, so do it at your own risk, ahah. Fun reaction tho, thanks for the content.
Your openness is remarkable. Lyrics wise, could you react to Cradle of Filth ? Their song Her Ghost in the Fog is very interesting musically and lyrically. Their singer Dani Filth is a remarkable lyricist.
Love seeing you branch out. Something a little more palatable than this I'd love to see you check out is Aftermath by The Ghost Inside. Hell of a story they've been thru. I think you'd appreciate it. Respect, friend.
@@CliffBeatsOfficial Dude, you really should try them. I am 50 y.o., trust me. Looking forward to seeing your reaction. BTW if you like rap (I do not), I guess you heard of The Browning which I like a lot (except for their rap parts).
You just need to look at it as art m8. It's musical excellence + a horror movie, that's all. It's just about seeking the limits of the instruments, the horror vibe is just because nothing else fits to it. Although it's also a complaint against religion in a lot of cases.
To be fair. This is a bad recommendation for someone hearing metal for the first time. You need to start out with some slipknot or SOAD or in that genre and work your way up though the genres eventually.
This kind of music makes me calm
me too

This song is at 270 bpm..pure insanity

This was Francesco playing at the time. He played for less than 5 years.. let that sink in...
@@cocojam8119 the betrayal is 290

Only reason you got a thumbs up is because you're a White Sox fan and not a Red Sox fan.

My favourite band! 🤘🏻
Greetings from Finland!! 🇫🇮
Italian opera meets deathmetal is the easiest way to explain this band.
I LOVE YOU!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FINALLY CHECKED THIS OUT!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH AOD FOREVER!

At least you can admit it.
Time for some Lorna Shore - “To the Hellfire”, I think. 😀
You're very entertaining man haha keep it up!
Check out Lorna Shore - To the Hellfire. Its a newer song that was very popular in the metal reaction community a few months back
HELL YEAH, THANKS FOR CALLING ME OUT FOR REQUESTING THIS !!! LMAO
I think you did really fucking well man.
I'm dying at your reaction to this
OK, the time has come for Behemoth (Demigod) and Archspire (Relentless mutation), he-he.
So you are trying to kill me… 😅

@@CliffBeatsOfficial - No problem. When you see the red bar underneath the CC button on a music a video, most likely it has subtitled lyrics. : )
