It’s not bad panel, it’s the led driver one of the ribbons is bad. On the left ribbon coming from the tcon , put a little masking tape covering about ten pins, and so on. This disables any of the connectors in the bad side of panel because these work paralel so you’re basically skipping one and the tv will be back working 100%

@TipsNNTricks the problem is on the boards that are directly connected to the t con board, these boards are connected to the screen the fault is simple and easy to repair you just need to replace smd capacitors
Good job disconnecting the one side of the tv as part of the diagnosis. There are two more things you can try. Did you ensure the problem wasn’t one of the tab bonds lifting on the buffer board? Also, on the buffer board, you can check for shorts. Maybe there is a shorted cap?
Nice video - and unlike pretty much every other video you actually cover the whole process and LOGIC of why it would be a certain component and how to determine it with certainty. THANK YOU. I replaced my t-con and main board in a Samsung UN43 - I had power, backlights, sound but no picture. Replaced the boards, had the same damn thing. Can you offer any insight as to WHY and HOW the usb stick would cause the damn tv to start working? After that, Directv works fine, video, sound menus etc..
This is most likely a faulty or shorted address or clock line in the lcd panel. A short in these signal lines of the panel will drag the voltage down on the TCON ASIC forcing it to shut down. Since these signals are redundant and get driven from both sides, you can block one completely and the other will still drive the panel just fine. The are various ways to repair this, but much of the time people have been using scotch tape but if you have an oscilloscope, you can narrow it down without guessing. FrugalRepair has a good video on the tape method.

Did you check the ribbon cables themselves? What about the solder joints on the connectors? It looks like a simple connection fault rather than bad boards.
This works, you can use a piece of paper too at the ribbon cable. Just cut 1 cm ones, and put it under the T-con ribbon cable(to the side where you have no picture), and move it until you block the bad panel to communicate with the t-con.
When you can get it to work with one side of the ribbon off, that means you have block signals according to a lot of UA-cam channels that do the repair. @@DominikMuhelye I have already replaced the POWER SUPPLY BOARD THE MAIN BOARD AND TCOM BAORD TWICE and the same thing.
@@williamjamesrapp7356 That's what mine does, sounds like bad LED's. I would have never though some bad LED's would cause that flashing problem. He has another video about this for an LG TV you can watch. And shows you how to test the strips. It's Called LG TV Flickering Problem FIX - TV LED Back Lights Flickering or here is his link ua-cam.com/video/Fva__AeWMW0/v-deo.html
Oh and here is his video on how to test the strips, sorry i thought that was all in the same video. How To Test TV LED Back Lights Without A LED TESTER! or the link ua-cam.com/video/1n-Nq8HLK20/v-deo.html
@@Josephthinleg THANKS Brother. I will give that a try and let you know what I find out.
I need help. The 2 blue lights don't come on on the board inside the tv. Everything was showing and the lights would come on as soon as you plug in the tv. Now I get the backlight but no picture and no lights on the board that the ribbon connects to
Great Video
What if you don’t have volume?
I sure wish I could buy a main board for my UN65H7150AFXZA but can't find one available. I paid $1600 about 6 yrs ago for this tv and I'm not ready to scrap it.
Hey, my backlight comes on then goes off then comes back on with no image and continues doing that. Would that be a faulty psu board?
same did you have the solution of it?
How do you know whitch tcon board you need ??
Well I ordered the Tcon board before I finished the video and saw it didn't fix yours. Now I'mnot sure its gonna fox mine. Guess we'll see
Did it fix it ?
HI help me please i have this model UN55NU7300F the tv work great only one problem led strip burn only on right side so order 2 led strip and replace only the side burning now i have sound and both side led strip work but not image
where did u get a new one
Every time I fidgeting with the ribbon cable in the main board connector it's working. Until I turn the TV off. The next time only backlight again. T-con board is replaced but it could be bad too (brought as recycled part)
Hi i have exactly the same problem with my samsung 65” curve TV model UE65MU6220K
Can you help me please how to fix it . Thanks
I've replaced the burnt-out LED strips, I've replaced the T-CON board. Samsung ue48h6240ak TV. My removing one side of the ribbon cable for the T-CON board like shown here, it allows all LED lights to power up, but nothing appears on either side of the screen. It's just light but black, any ideas on whether this would be panel, power or mainboard?
Sounds like the panel but I'm no expert, there is videos on here how to repair the buffer board so don't do what I've done and throw away the tv
I have the same problem with my 40''
Woooow I had this issue with a used Series 6 tv I got off facebook marketplace. It does turn on but i have to keep pushing the power button on the remote a few times and it finally will. I can see it flicker like it wants to turn on. I wonder if thats why my 4k bluray player looks dark compared to my Series 7. I just have to fix the surround now since the bass isn't as deep as the Series 7 when connected to the 4k bluray player for some reason
How much would the tv be worth working in this condition? 🤔
Its a simple and easy fix, change the fuse on panel strip bottom line of T-con which connects to panel... you will thank me later😊
How much was that tcon???
If the backlights are all on then why would it be the tcon board?
Should’ve watched frugal repair tape video!
Hey l want the board for that 50 ich Samsung TV
I need help with the Sony kdl-49w750d. Back light turns on then as soon as it turns off the red light blinks 6 times. The moment the TV died, it went green and flickered a bit until it turned off. How can I diagnose this issue?
. invest in a table too ...you got the basics, bit deeper....needed...
My volume/control buttons don't even show up. Just sound and back lit.
once I plug it, the remote doesnt work at all, just backlit until i unplug :(
Same problem here. Did you ever get it fixed?
Garbage Samsung Tvs. Buy a different brand. Class action law suit...
Nowadays all new tvs its garbage
My tv doesn't have a tcon board.. any ideas why? It's a UE50KU6072 appreciate your help
It could be hidden, or some TV's might have it built into the main board, just follow the ribbon cable from your main board to the screen to see.
Hi pablo. I have same tv series, but just smaller, 40 in. Can you tell me how you fixed it, and at what cost?
@@NeRa101 what I simply did was take out the ribbon connectors from the main board to the panel and put them back in and it started working back.
My samsung doesn’t have a t con board, I replaced the main. Board but stil back light on but no display with sound
What model and any update. I have the same issue but have not replaced main

my samsung tv screen turns black what should i do!? PLEASE HELP ME?!
Anyone know about a samsung with sound and a blue screen?
How do you know if it's a bad panel
Good troubleshooting when you don't have a lot of tools.
If it's not worth it just throw it away but don't give up yet
Why throw it away and waste money? Sell it for parts and get at least some money’s worth out of it.
Mine shows picture for a moment, then turns all black :(
yea same problem, any sugestions? what to change first?
@@GodexWasTaken Is the TV still on when it goes black? If not and it shuts off right away then its the Power supply, check the capacitors to see if bulged.
@@Josephthinleg It stays on. sound also works
I think it's a problem with the other side of the screen
Good video but not worth all that damn labor solution for me equals "CHUNK IT" "TRASH PILE BOUND" HELLO NEW
If your 18 and someone gave you one like this it’s worth it
Guarantee you'll get more views if you title this: "what NOT to do when..." and let's be honest, you ain't sellin Shit and you ain't recouping any money by selling the parts you bought. Also, please notify me when you sell a vehicle you couldn't get running. ;)
This relates to a minor number of samsung TVs
I bought Tu 7000 series Samsung TV 70 inch two months after the warranty was over the TV quit tried bunch of things didn’t work I’m never buying this shit again
Crap. Poster cannot even be bothered to put the Model No in the title
Basically, buy a new tv is the solution
pls help

Educate yourself a little. One of the clock lines from the panel is shorted. Narrow it down and cut it or isolate it. There are hundred of indian videos showing you how.
Here's the fix ua-cam.com/video/16xDI4aj3gk/v-deo.html
This simple fault
Why the hell would you order a T-CON board if you are not 100% sure it is faulty in the first lace ????.Samsung TV are crap with crappy sound.Never buy Samsung but a get LG instead
