People will whine over the V6 being phased out. You can blame the government, and their greenhouse gas laws over emissions. In the near future, nearly all aspirated engines will be on the chopping block, or the manufacturers will be paying hefty fines. It's coming. I bought a 2024 Tacoma Off-Road. No regrets. So much better than the 2018 Tacoma I owned. I work with people that have over 150,000 miles on OEM turbocharged cars and trucks. I don't hang onto my vehicles forever and pay them off within the warranty period.
It's not the government it's cheaper for toyota to make a V4 with a junk turbo that needs to be replaced at or around 150k Do you really think the stupid batteries they put in these things are green? Producing that battery causes way more emissions than that V6 but it's made somewhere else so it's fine for all the diesel machines mining all the components needed. It's all a big joke.

True, also, a lot of people don't trust the turbo and going for the current generation, toyota is taking advantage of selling more.
We waited all this time for this??!
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I love it.
@@ToyotajeffI hate it. The 5th gen 4runner outmatches this in quality. Only those of us that own it knows what true beauty is. Outside AND INSIDE. 😎😜 But hey, theres always a sucker as well that domt pay attention to the details.😂
It will fail miserably guaranteed not only not as good as the previous generation but way too overpriced. Start looking for a new job salesman 🤣🤣🤣
The back seat seems to have a less leg room…
what's the markup price on that 20k? lol
No right audio?
It’s probably reliable. It is Toyota. Just don’t slam on the gas pedal so you don’t activate the turbo as much
Where’s the other trims Toyota ?
Forgot to put the seats down to show cargo space 😂
Right now, Toyota engineers are hard at work on developing a three cylinder engine powered 4Runner/Tacoma which they can sell for even more money. A 4 pot in a 4Runner. What a joke,
I think it is sharp design
The sad fact is due to dealership greed these will sit for a year or two getting lot rot.
2026 passport!! FTW
only 400k can get you one of these quality bargains
Omfg.... Yes please!!! Looking a lot like EVERYTHING I want in my next vehicle!!!!
Lot of features I would say, Memory seats, Aux switches, Aftermarket Suspension modded, Light mods, high wattage power, Latest tech package, JBL Audio. But that's it. Nothing more is good. It lost the reliable 4.0L 1GR FE, that thing is more reliable than a 3UR Land Cruiser V8, it can go beyond 300-400K miles. The A750E 5-Spd is also gone, replaced by newer Hybrid / Electric powertrain. The back seat is cut on space, it's too crammed for such a big truck. Mileage won't be massively better either. Looks like a new Taco, ugly as hell on the front end. Plastic fenders are garbage, the interior plastic is cheap. Just try to use that hold bar for passenger and see how it flexes. They can keep it. No thanks, 5th Gen 4Runner is where it is at. I have it and it's amazing.
It looks OK with some minus and plus
Where they really screwed and is going to be one of the worse choice toyota made is the Hybrid engine.
Electric cars are a joke , batteries would be needed to be replaced at some point for$$$, How about after the warranty expired and those complicated engines brake.
I would only get one of our comes with lifetime warranty
Very nice
'still has the roll down window' yeah but not a trail gate😢
Built for life
Idk why Toyota don’t offer memory seat that’s suck for the price
New Platinum
Jeff, you do great Toyota reviews! However, the new Tacoma and four runner have way too much plastic.I get it cars nowadays have a lot of plastic but this is crazy. The four runner is an exact interior duplicate of the New Tacoma.Ive had Toyotas for 20 years and I’m disappointed.
It's all a big joke.
would be nice if the US got the Diesel versions like other regions do for example 2024 LC in Japan and Europe... so yeh i blame the government lol.
@@alh5470 it makes no sense, we all share the same earth. We can be as green as possible but what good does it do when other countries don’t follow.
Underwhelmed by the carbon copy interior of the Tacoma.
Why Nickel Metal Hydrid batteries, so 1990's!
Sweet!
I wish the interior stitching was bronze like the rims. I don't like the yellow.
Rumor is price will be around $75K+ for the fully loaded ones like this one....If this is true, regular Americans can't afford it. No thanks, and before all the Toyota fanboys start bashing, you are dumb for paying that. Not saying it’s a bad car/truck. just saying it’s a bad value...
tacoma has no bumpostops lol hopefully this will be ok
Ugly has hell and a 4-banger turbo electric golf cart. Too funny.
