This episode is amazing. I love everything 🥺Flashbacks, Rex, Anakin, Ahsoka, references to Senator Organa and Kanan Jarrus. And of course, the music 🫶🏻
This episode was packed with stuff to think about. Jacen showing his force sensitivity. All aspects of Anakin’s evolution from light to dark was used to train Ahsoka. Showing that it took everything that he knows was needed to pass down to Ahsoka in order for her training to complete. I was right… if you read the comments that I left on last weeks episode, about Ahsoka playing Jonah and the Whale with the Purrgil. My favorite part is when Jacen is asking Huyang about light sabers and trading and Huyang gives 1 word “No” answers. Funny.
Can we also talk about how they REALLY emphasized the monstrous strength of his Djem So lightsaber form? You can SEE the massive weight behind every strike.
@@SigTheSauceMan I remember back in 2005 there was a description in the novelization of Revenge of the Sith where Dooku was having to buffer his physical strength with the force otherwise in his words Anakin's strikes would have driven right through him. I think that it is rather impressive that we can actually see a physical manifestation of that now although we did get a hint of that during the Dooku Anakin fight onboard the Invisible Hand
@@SigTheSauceManI loved that when he’s Anakin he uses a different, faster, more elaborate form, and then when he turns into Vadar, his form switches to the slower, less fancy, but far more powerful form.
This episode really drove home that Ahsoka was just a child in the middle of a war zone. Something about seeing it live action vs the animation has such an impact.
5:42 "I won't fight you." "I've heard that before." I believe this line is referring to when Luke said it to Vader. Ahsoka never said that to him. Also, that line was followed by a fight, where the person's resolve was finally there, and resulted in Anakin's defeat and the victor's ascension.
This episode brought so many emotions. The moment of pain on Anakin's face when Ahsoka said she wanted to live. Hayden's acting was perfect in this episode, the best thing I've seen in Star Wars for a long time.
After all the trauma Ahsoka has faced the one thing Anakin has always stressed and trained her for is to live and to fight. That's his job, I can't believe this went over so many people's heads. That's the lesson. His training was always hard on her because he wanted her to live and fight to live. It's why she's still alive. Her falling into the water and almost dying is him trying to get her to fight and live and get out of that before she drowns.
I picked up on that but initially I started thinking that maybe the lesson was letting go of the "guilt" and or anger she has or had for anakin after he turned to the Darkside. But yeah you're right about what the lesson was
@@crimsondtv I feel like you're both right. Anakin finally had the power to let go of his hate and anger. He wants to make sure Ahsoka does the same. Living with hope, not fear.
@@renoslash1890 That's my read. He is basically guiding her to 1 stop moping about with regards to how things went down because she ever since just before malachor felt that if she had never left then he never would have fallen. And 22 letter that guilt go so that she can move on and maybe Salvage the relationship with her own Apprentice and maybe continue the oh so important Legacy that he was referring to
Great point, but I think it was also a Dagobah cave moment for her. She never overcame Anakin turning to the Dark Side and feared that, even so much it hindered her probably in training Sabine and also accepting Grogu as an apprentice in Mando S2 because she was still trumatized by his fall. When you could see her dark side eyes in the last moment of the fight right before throwing the saber away she overcame her fear and passed "the cave" like Yoda did in The Clone Wars and Luke initially failed on Dagobah until he threw his saber away on the Death Star so he wouldnt fall.
@@renoslash1890 yep thats what Anakin meant with "You're more than that, and I'm more than that" if he can let go, then so can Ahsoka. Thats why when Ahsoka confronts him after that, he said that she learned nothing because the lesson was never about confronting it but making peace with it.

Seeing Anakins sillouette vanish and Vaders appearing was exactly the emotional damage i've been begging for since the my early Star Wars days and I can't stop hearing the score in my head. One of the best scenes ever. Even Baylans words "Everyone in the order new Anakin Skywalker, few would live to see what he became." Chills everywhere.
I am so happy they brought in Hayden. He is portraying a good mix of his Anakin and the one from the Clone Wars show. Dark yet playful. This may be a lot of fan service but they are treating it very respectfully compared to the sequel movies.
We finally got Ahsoka the White!! 😁😁 Interestingly, I feel Anakin's final lessons to Ahsoka was to teach her the difference between surviving and actually living. People kept pointing out up to this point how stoic Ahsoka is and how different it felt compared to how she was during the Clone Wars. It was as if she was just coasting along an autopilot. However, upon returning from the World Between World, Ahsoka comes across as much brighter and - well - _livelier_ . Just look how pleased she was with herself that she was able to communicate with the purgill, how they were about to ride to another galaxy in its mouth, and how she doesn't even have any idea if the scheme is even going to work!! She's taking chances, willing to take risks and to go on faith that it will work out.😁😁 This is loads different from the Ahsoka who would rather destroy the orb and abandon any hope of finding Ezra just to ensure that there is absolutely no chance of Thrawn returning.
I'm glad we got Ahsoka the White back. Although, Filoni is now retconning his own shit which is just weird. I'm not entirely sure what she was meant to learn. I was underwhelmed by most of the episode. The Purrgil conversation being the highlight that brought things back. That being said, the last three episodes would be good.
@@nathandts3401 As I speculated above, I think the lesson was about learning to live and not just survive. WorldBetweenWorlds Anakin was rectifying his mistake. During the Clone Wars, Anakin had simply taught Ahsoka how to survive, not how to live.
I think part of it is also a fear that if her master could go dark, she might as well (especially that she is now in the master role with Sabine). Before the final fight, he was telling her that the fighting and killing is only a part of what they had to do... so just because you do, it is not all you are as a person. That also carries with it the subtext of 'yes, I became Vader... but don't forget that is not all I was either). The final fight he started he was in dark mode (which was how Ahsoka was seeing him, just focusing on the bad). The purpose was to get her angry enough to go dark, but realize she does have a choice. If she fears going dark, she always has the power to choose not to. It is very subtle, and I did not see it on first watching (especially since I am red green color deficient)... in the final moments of the fight when Ahsoka has his blade, she steps in, and when she slightly raises the blade as if she is going to use it... her eyes go red. When she backs off and tosses the saber, her eyes are back to normal. She chose to live and not go dark.

I love her new outfit too! I feel like it signifies that she has started leaning toward the "light" side of things, whereas for such a long time she was rocking that more neutral gray. By choosing life and love and compassion over trying to kill Anakin in her vision, it feels like she's broken free from the emotional weight and psychological burden of being "Darth Vader's apprentice". Talk about feeling free! And you can even see a very noticeable change in her demeanor after her vision and after seeing the Purgills... she has this sort of mellow, peaceful vibe to her and is smiling almost constantly.
i think the lesson was that she needs to keep fighting. shes sick of fighting because shes afraid thats all her legacy will be, but if she stops, she'll die. thats the lesson anakin's trying to teach her, and what she finally accepts when she chooses to live at the end of their lesson.
In addition I think it's important to know he also wanted her to let go of the guilt that she has been harbouring since leaving the Jedi Order because she has feared that she is going to walk down the same dark path that he did
Great reaction bonnie lass. I love how much Clone Wars Anakin in his Jedi armour mirrors the shape of what he'll become as Vader, the chest plate and shoulder pauldrons are very, very similar in form indeed. Also the casting of Ariana Greenblatt as Clone Wars Ahsoka is a touch of genius (she's perfect) and vividly hits home just how young she was still even at the end of the wars during the Siege of Mandalore.
It’s funny that you say ‘it’s Barbie land’ considering that Ariana Greenblatt who played teen Ahsoka in this episode also played the teen daughter of the Mattel executive in the Barbie movie, she’s also young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War
Don't know if anyone here's said it or not, but, I see a parallel between the final scene of *_The Empire Strikes Back_* in which Lando promises to Leia that he and Chewbacca/Chewie would find Han, and here where Ahsoka promises to Hera that she would find Sabine and Ezra 🤔🤯🥺🥲🤗😉👍😌!
I really like some of the very minor details in this episode, especially it delivered so much to fans of TCW and Rebels - near the end, when the Purgill are passing the Republic ships, you get to see the awe of the pilots, which is a nice contrast to how the Empire would have reacted as we saw in Rebels (that is, "lets shoot them" instead).
I like that you can immidiately sense a shift in Ahsokas attitude and tone after meeting Anakin. Ive seen and myself has had some complaints that she has been abit too stiff and too stoic so far in the show and seen people begrudging that she hasnt really felt like the Ahsoka we knew. The deeper we've gotten in to the show i think her reluctance and dismissiveness has been sort of understandable though and im glad that Anakin was the one to set her straight and show her that there is more to being a Jedi and more to life than just fighting, which she essentially has been doing nonstop her entire. It was a joy to see "Ahsoka the White" that we saw at the end credit of Rebels again, with a big smile and a new found optimism about life.
Dave Feloni should just be put in charge of all Star Wars projects. Such an amazing episode. How can you not get misty eyed seeing the Clone Wars era Ahsoka, and wavy hair Anakin in the armour. Even without the flickering between him and Vader, this was beyond what I expected.
When Ashoka says she has no idea where it’s going but going anywhere is better than going nowhere… that’s so meta … it’s Feloni talking to the audience… saying “hold my blue milk we about to go where we ain’t never been and see what kinda Star Wars content we can make.”
Fantastic episode! I want a live action Clone Wars sooooooo bad! I'm grateful for your effort editing this so soon, because this episode was really special.
I was waiting for your reaction on this ! i’ve been watching your star wars journey since phantom menace, all through clone wars, rebels, obi wan … and this episode feels like a fan gift. Like if Filoni was like : « here is a thank you for following for years ». What an episode !
the fact that now anakin can control both his light side and his dark side whenever he wants to be anakin or vader show us how he is the chosen one and have balance in the force
Great reaction like always, This episode was amazing seeing young Ahsoka live action and the battle between Anakin, and love seeing Ahsoka The White. Shes now allegiance to the Force, reflecting her journey and brushes with death. Keep up the amazing work.

Enjoyed the Reaction Emme. And Awesome Episode Felt Like Part Rebels and Part Clone Wars As '' Live action''. My personal Take On ''The Overall Lesson (s) For Ahsoka '' (First Last Episode Baylon (During the Fight with Ahsoka) He Used all of Ahsoka's Guilt That She Feels And Other Baggage. To Knock Her Off her Game) Anakin But A Mirror On A few Big Ones (That Baylon Mentioned.) Ahsoka Picking A side. Sticking With How She Feels Not Trying to Go against Herself. ( A lot of Self Doubt Was Building up) Also, She Holds People at an Arm's Length. Always Fearing She Will Make a Mistake That Will Kill Someone She Loves. ( Like She Did with Sabine. By walking Away. Ahsoka Made Sabine Feel Like Ahsoka Did Not Care, OR Trust Her?)) Another is Feeling As though Anakin Turning to The Dark Side. Becoming Vader Was Somehow Her Fault? I think She Felt as Though by Not Being There For her Master. In his Greatest Time of Need ( By Proxy Anyone Vader Hurt/Killed is Part of Ahsoka's Legacy As well! ''One Of Pain And Death'') Learning to Find a way Of Letting All the Thing's She Could Not Control or Change From her Past. Let it go and (Be Re Born Emotionally/Spiritually ... And Literally Physically) It's as If Anakin the Chosen one Is Like a'' Mortis God'' Now Part of the Cosmic Force ( Maybe Similar To the ''Father'' A Balance Between the Light/dark sides of the Force?) All My Opinions and theories... Lol
Heeey u made me realize that about Anakin, haha im a big fan of star wars, i really loved your reaction. U actually came up with some really good ass questions, that i would like to hear the answer. Keeep grinding :)
The emotional weight of the episode, the Purgills, everything was great but where can I get the white poncho Ahsoka is wearing cuz that looked comfy AF.
This episode was some of the greatest Star Wars ever created. The character work that Filoni did here with Ahsoka is absolutely fantastic. Amidst all of it, my favorite aspect of it probably has to be the visual symbolism of her growth. Ahsoka going into the water as Ahsoka the Grey and coming out from the water as Ahsoka the White very much so felt like a baptism of sorts. As if the old her went under, and she’s come out born again as someone new. Absolutely loved every aspect of this episode. I’ve seen some people say that “people are being blinded by fan service” and to that I counter that yes, people are blinded by fan service but not in the typical way you’d think. The people who are ACTUALLY blinded by the fan service are those who are letting the fan service in this episode blind them from seeing the true beauty of what this episode actually was. There’s absolutely some fan service moments and callbacks in here, but it basically is just in the background and being in service of the main character’s relationship and development
If anyone noticed Anakin's eyes were red like the Son in the mortise ark of Star wars it's not yellow sith which is corrupted it's red eyes which means he's probably even more powerful now
I'm confused. Didn't Huyang have a full scan of Morgan's hyperspace ring? That alone should be enough evidence for Hera to give Mon Mothma to justify this mission.
Hera wasn’t aware of that and nothing really prompted Huyang to hand it over. Also the New Republic would probably still say “How do you know they’re going to get Thrawn? They’re just a few Imperial Remnants, they don’t pose a major threat.” bc they’re too naive.
Political garbage. They're going to keep denying, denying, denying until it all goes up in flames... And then they're going to find someone to blame. Just like our world. 😒
Hey, Emme! I loved the journey down memory lane but I get frustrated when Filoni is so nebulous about mechanics and intent. I get that the Force is mystical and meant to be intuited but I would appreciate clarity rather than endless debate. Was it in all in Ahsoka's head as a near-death experience? Did the Daughter's essence within her enable her to unconsciously access the actual World Within Worlds? Was Anakin an extension of her psyche, a Force-ghost or a Mortis god? Where was Morai? What exactly was the lesson imparted? To accept the past and move beyond it? We saw Teth, the Battle of Ryloth with the Twi'leks and the Siege of Mandalore with Rex. How I wish they had recreated her duel with Maul and her meeting with Vader on Malachor which "Obi-Wan Kenobi" blatantly ripped off! HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN was well-used and looked great. Very happy to see him. ARIANA GREENBLATT aka Baby Gamora was excellent as young Ahsoka. She was also in "65" with Adam "Kylo Ren" Driver! AHSOKA THE WHITE has buried the hatchet with the Order, Anakin and herself. Her epiphany was serenity. LEIA ORGANA is name-dropped! KANAN JARRUS is name-dropped! MON MOTHMA is helplessly bound by red tape! Is there something to be said for Imperial autocracy? In the belly of a PURRGILL! They have BALEEN teeth just like whales! PAUL SUN-HYUNG LEE as a stalling Teva and DAVID TENNANT as a mournful Huyang deserve a mention. I'm really enjoying EVAN WHITTEN's portrayal of Jacen. If I were Hera, I'd be telling Ahsoka to teach my kid everything she knew because he's clearly gifted with Force-sensitivity. I have no idea why she's badgering Sabine to accomplish the impossible when this boy is clearly a diamond-in-the-rough! I believe JACEN perceived either Ahsoka's mental landscape or the actual World-Within-Worlds when he "heard" the lightsaber clash. He was able to link with Hera's mind to enable her to perceive what he was perceiving. Without Jacen as a conduit, Hera would have "heard" nothing but the surf. I sure hope the YUUZHAN VONG are in Filoni's plans for the future because they are terrifying! They are the extra-galactic enemy of Legends. Their devastating blitzkrieg are what leads to ultimate peace when the New Republic and the Imperial Remnants unite to form the GALACTIC ALLIANCE. Imagine Thrawn going from final boss villain to an unlikely hero! Epic stuff.
Can someone explain to me what Ahsoka was supposed to learn down there? Like... idk im feeling kind of dumb. She wouldn't choose to die, obviously she would keep going. Was Anakin trying to get her to understand why? What "training" did she get out of that? Like, this episode was awesome, but... Wtf? What did i miss?
Anakin and Vader are one, but in the end the light (Anakin) won out, so he is both (balance) with Anakin as primary with the knowledge of both. Ahsoka was frozen, unable to progress in the force and become the Master she should be out of fear of becoming like Anakin. Anakin/Vader helped her see and choose wisely, without fear. Making her the "White Jedi" and Master she was destined to be and the Galaxy needs.
I am fascinated that afterlife Anakin can control both his light and dark versions. He’s accepted himself fully. To be the hero that the galaxy loved, and the conquerer everyone feared. Rather than a broken man, he finally has learned control to pass his lessons. IE at the end when he takes Vader to return as Anakin before leaving Ahsoka.
Ahsoka was going nowhere. She only knew war and the constant fight for survival. And she saw what Anakin, her master, had become in the end. The beginning of the rebellion and the search for Ezra gave her a purpose, but she never found herself after the Clone Wars. So, "going anywhere" at least is a direction in her life. That she is more than war and survival. That Baylan is wrong about her.

LOVED this episode. It was everything I wanted from this show.
The fact Anakin was referencing to Luke when he said “I’ve heard that before”
Don't know if anyone here's said it or not, but, I see a parallel between the final scene of *_The Empire Strikes Back_* in which Lando promises to Leia that he and Chewbacca/Chewie would find Han, and here where Ahsoka promises to Hera that she would find Sabine and Ezra 🤔🤯🥺🥲🤗😉👍😌!
I'm glad we got to see live action Clone Wars Anakin and Captain Rex
Dave Feloni should just be put in charge of all Star Wars projects. Such an amazing episode. How can you not get misty eyed seeing the Clone Wars era Ahsoka, and wavy hair Anakin in the armour. Even without the flickering between him and Vader, this was beyond what I expected.
I expected them to be "towed" by the Purrgil like Thrawn's destroyer, not carried within their mouth. 😆
I absolutely ADORE your reactions!
Thank you so much!!
Incredible stuff we got here
When Ashoka says she has no idea where it’s going but going anywhere is better than going nowhere… that’s so meta … it’s Feloni talking to the audience… saying “hold my blue milk we about to go where we ain’t never been and see what kinda Star Wars content we can make.”
It really puts into perspective how young ahsoka really was, it didn't transfer over well in animation but this reeeaally makes it clear
It caught me off guard too. Now I see the whole Clone Wars with a different perspective.
You’re authenticity is awesome. Never change that. Love your reactions
And yes. I’m crying and it’s ok to cry
Fantastic episode! I want a live action Clone Wars sooooooo bad! I'm grateful for your effort editing this so soon, because this episode was really special.
Simply amazing. Anakin looked so good!
Amazing music and visuals, absolutely stunning, great episode 👏
When Jason is listening to the fight and The Force Theme starts playing got me a little.
I was waiting for your reaction on this ! i’ve been watching your star wars journey since phantom menace, all through clone wars, rebels, obi wan … and this episode feels like a fan gift. Like if Filoni was like : « here is a thank you for following for years ». What an episode !
Hera was young as jacen when her and omega wrecked the empire on her home planet.
Truth
the fact that now anakin can control both his light side and his dark side whenever he wants to be anakin or vader show us how he is the chosen one and have balance in the force
easily the best episode yet!
The end of the World Between Worlds part felt like a baptism for Ahsoka 16:05 .
Great reaction like always, This episode was amazing seeing young Ahsoka live action and the battle between Anakin, and love seeing Ahsoka The White. Shes now allegiance to the Force, reflecting her journey and brushes with death. Keep up the amazing work.
Ashoka: I won't fight you..
Anakin: I have heard that before
LUKE: WHAT NOW?!?!?
Emme with another quick turnaround.
Yes the last part of Anakins lesson makes me tear up! Nobody can say this doesnt make a man cry!
Next episode: Ahsoka is in the Delta Quadrant being chased by the Borg.
Ahsoka: Looks like you dont have much to offer
Anakin: I haven't taught you everything yet It over Ahsoka I have the high ground
Incredible episode, was looking forward to this reaction!!
Emme Loved your reaction to this episode it's nice to see Hayden Christian as anakin skywalker Showing Ahsoka how he was a good master and evil darth Vader and seeing captain Rex !!!!
Filoni, man, GOTTA LET HIM COOK !
Enjoyed the Reaction Emme. And Awesome Episode Felt Like Part Rebels and Part Clone Wars As '' Live action''.
My personal Take On ''The Overall Lesson (s) For Ahsoka ''
(First Last Episode Baylon (During the Fight with Ahsoka) He Used all of Ahsoka's Guilt That She Feels And Other Baggage. To Knock Her Off her Game)
Anakin But A Mirror On A few Big Ones (That Baylon Mentioned.)
Ahsoka Picking A side. Sticking With How She Feels Not Trying to Go against Herself. ( A lot of Self Doubt Was Building up)
Also, She Holds People at an Arm's Length. Always Fearing She Will Make a Mistake That Will Kill Someone She Loves. ( Like She Did with Sabine. By walking Away. Ahsoka Made Sabine Feel Like Ahsoka Did Not Care, OR Trust Her?))
Another is Feeling As though Anakin Turning to The Dark Side. Becoming Vader Was Somehow Her Fault?
I think She Felt as Though by Not Being There For her Master. In his Greatest Time of Need ( By Proxy Anyone Vader Hurt/Killed is Part of Ahsoka's Legacy As well! ''One Of Pain And Death'')
Learning to Find a way Of Letting All the Thing's She Could Not Control or Change From her Past. Let it go and (Be Re Born Emotionally/Spiritually ... And Literally Physically)
It's as If Anakin the Chosen one Is Like a'' Mortis God'' Now Part of the Cosmic Force ( Maybe Similar To the ''Father'' A Balance Between the Light/dark sides of the Force?)
All My Opinions and theories... Lol
Ask yourself, "How, exactly, did Thrawn and Ezra get to that other galaxy...?" Oh, look, purgils, aren't they gorgeou....
Heeey u made me realize that about Anakin, haha im a big fan of star wars, i really loved your reaction. U actually came up with some really good ass questions, that i would like to hear the answer. Keeep grinding :)
Her eyes turned red/yellow for a second, then back to normal, same as Anakin
The emotional weight of the episode, the Purgills, everything was great but where can I get the white poncho Ahsoka is wearing cuz that looked comfy AF.
Same!!!
Your 70's t-shirt goes well with your earlier release of Wandavision
Lots of people saying Jacen shouldnt be there he's 10 here, a year older than Anakin (I know he wasn't the norm) became a Padawan.
Around the same age as his mother when she worked to free her parents on Ryloth
Ahsoka The White is about to get some Badassery goin' on!
Ahsoka The Warrior, Ahsoka the grey, then Ahsoka the White. Thank you Dave Filoni
This is too epic. thank you filoni ❤
9:40
10:21 You didn’t notice Rex(phase 1) there?
I feel ya about rewatching. I too rewatched the Anakin scenes almost immediately
Yes! It actually gets BETTER with a rewatch 🤩 and you see the layers to the dialogue, the small details…
„Is she in Barbieland?“ very nice comment, because the actress of young Ashoka is also playing the girl in Barbie ☺️
Emme's shirt reminds me of the carpet in the Overlook Hotel in The Shining.
Heres johnny o_o
@@emme Lol
That's a rad shirt you're wearing btw! I used to have a really similar one and still miss it!
If anyone noticed Anakin's eyes were red like the Son in the mortise ark of Star wars it's not yellow sith which is corrupted it's red eyes which means he's probably even more powerful now
I believe it’s referencing to him actually being the “father” now
I'm confused.
Not only the scan, but the Ring ship's hyperdrive's wake was powerful enough to destroy some X-Wings
Political garbage. They're going to keep denying, denying, denying until it all goes up in flames... And then they're going to find someone to blame.
Just like our world. 😒
This needs to be watched more than once
Ahsoka the White
If you listen carefully you can hear vader breathing in the background from time to time
We haven't even seen THRAWN yet.
I’m so glad I saw the final season of Clone Wars before watching this.
17:52 does anyone else think this is reminiscent to cal kestis psychometry ability?
Jacen most likely helped Hera sense what he sensed amidst the waves.
Anakin could finally keep those who he loved from dying !
Amazing episode. This is got me emotional and thinkin this is the best series yet
Yes, it made me cry.
Epic stuff.
Emmy I love your shirt you have on in this video!(: Great reaction
"Two-yang"😭
that shirt is killer. Looks like a Marsha Brady style thing
If Ezra is alive then it would be cool to see him train Jacen in their own series someday
When he calls her snips!!!! Was yelling at the screen all day!!!!
WE NEED MORE ANAKIN & AHSOKA
I am fascinated that afterlife Anakin can control both his light and dark versions. He’s accepted himself fully. To be the hero that the galaxy loved, and the conquerer everyone feared. Rather than a broken man, he finally has learned control to pass his lessons. IE at the end when he takes Vader to return as Anakin before leaving Ahsoka.
Ashoka now has a white robe. Ahsoka was Gandalf the Grey, after the confrontation with Anakin she became Gandalf the White.
Ahsoka the gray is no more, she's now Ahsoka the white just like Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings.
