I’ve got a St Croix Victory ML for my boat. Great rod. Recently bought a Daiwa Tatula XT ML 7’ just to beat up around the river wet wading and for $100 that thing is money. Landed probably 200 smallies up to 5Lbs this spring on it and it handles them so well.

Addermine is so sick. Super versatile. The flyssa is also great for light weight long distance. P5 rods have been great for me for a few years now. No breakage issue and super fun to fish with.

I have several megabass rods .no problem with breakage . I think 4 or 5 years ago they had some issues.

A few years ago I scooped up a 2018 St Croix legend tournament bass 6'8 MLF spinning rod on clearance and it's been a solid ned rod. And I don't care what anyone says, to a regular schmuck like me, fishing a ned rig is fun as hell.

I like Megabass Flyssa. Both P5 and earlier destroyer series. I feel the light bites before it feels me. 7’6” light action is perfect for fighting on light line tiny hooks.

Yes for dobyns I wish they did a better job with the reel handles. The locking nut can be so much better

I have that zman rod and really enjoy it. I wouldn’t use it for bottom contact ned rigging with heavier weights. But the way that Ned taught the technique it’s really good.
Additionally It has replaced my crappie rods when I’m tight lining or strolling a jig. If crappie fishing vertical I prefer a longer rod.

A St Croix in a ML is the way to go. I love the avid or legend in a ML

I use the megabass orochi xx ML 7 foot shaky head rod. And it casts great and sensitivity is money for finesse apps.

Rods that should have been here: G. Loomis IMX-PRO 831S and 882S NRR, NRX+ 821S NRR and Megabass Destroyer P5 Landsat. The Landsat is a true ML with a fast tip. The Addermine is a ML+ so it's between an ML and M with an extra fast tip.

I think they are trying to cater to normal folk with normal money.

@NoFro-TL They mentioned a Steez AGS and also P5. I mentioned the P5 Landsat and IMX-PRO as well which is cheaper than a Steez AGS. But I guess NRX+ is the only name that popped out on my comment. Steez and P5 aren't exactly budget rods.👍

Anyone use that expride 7’6 for a hair jig or spy bait?

    • @jimmypage279
      @jimmypage279 4 місяці тому +1

It has too much power for a hair jig, especially if you are using a 1/16 oz. It’s really a ML+. Can handle as low as 1/8 oz with a heavy plastic or 3/16 oz with a normal plastic.

I bought a megabass wind buster only to break within the first 30 min. Yeah not worth it, ppl hype megabass but honestly it feels cheap and that rod was very tip heavy it’s crap. I’ll stick to my g loomis.

I’ve heard a lot of breakage issues with mega bass rods and many agree they’re very tip heavy

    • @TinboatTom4528

I have a bunch Megabass P5 rods with the Windbuster being one of my favorites. Caught hundreds of bass on it before I screwed up and had it straight up and down while dealing with the fish. Dropped the fish and snapped the rod. One week past warranty but Megabass honored it. As for tip weight. I disagree. All my spinning rods weigh less than 4 ounces. Many just barely over 3 1/2. All p5’s are counter weighted. None of mine have any tip weight. Give the windbuster another chance. Excellent Free Rig rod.

I was thinking about getting one of those wind buster now I don’t think so I just buy dobyns Xtasy rods iam a veteran and get a discount on them plus I get 30% off of them rods it’s not $550 or $475 like the mega bass is
