7.3 MH fast St Croix victory or legend tournament....both EXCELLENT spinnerbait and swim jig rods. My personal favorite rod for SBs is the scythe by sixgill fishing...light tip but solid backbone...handles a lot like an MBR from Loomis (In my opinion)
Guys, I have been religiously fishing spinnerbaits for 45 years. I have probably 10 rods for spinnerbaits from $129 price point to NRXs. My go to spinnerbait rod is the Dobyns Kaden 713. It’s light, comfortable, has plenty of backbone, and a nice tip. It loads up and tosses a 1/2 oz Spinnerbait with a split tail trailer 40 yards without a sweat. Once you feel the fish load up on it, give it a moderate 10 o’clock or 2 o’clock sweep and you will NEVER miss a bass. I have caught two 8 pounders and 2 sevens as well as I don’t how many 4-5 lb just this year with this rod. It’s pretty good for chatters as well but really excels with spinnerbaits, flukes, and weightless senkos. You can routinely find this rod on American Legacy, TW, and Omnia at 20% off of the $179 retail
How long have you had this rod ? I’m wondering if this is before Gary sold his company to GSM or is this from a new batch that dobyns put out recently ?
Thanx. I use the Zodius 7'mh/f and believe the tip is light. Moving bait rods are the place to save a couple of bucks. Sensitivity isin't really important and most inexpensive fast action rods are a little slow in the tips.
I personally like a 7'2ish MH moderate fast rod. I feel like people should use what they like to use for chatterbaits. They have a similar hook and are moving lures. I could see some people that are making shorter casts wanting something shorter or maybe a bit faster action for people moving the lure slower as I guess I tend to fish them fast.
Most fisherman can get by with 2 spinnerbait rods for 3/8 to 1/2 oz 6-10mh regular/mod fast for close quarters to mid rage 7-3mh regular/mod fast for mid to long casts
It’s crazy to me how many people throw a spinner bait on a medium power rods I’ve always used a medium heavy rods I started out with a Lews hank Parker 7’MH and it works great but I want something a little nicer so a bought a Shimano zodias 6’10” MH and this rod is my favorite by far but it definitely handles compact spinner bait the best and my every day spinner baits rod in a Shimano intenza 7’2” MH
I only use the classic loomis Glx 843c mbr rods for spinnerbaits. A prefer a rod with a little bit of a parabolic bend in the tip. Super high end rods like the nrx are too stiff for my taste.
Love that you started putting the rods and things ya talk about in the description
Thank you for showing the Tatulas!
Love this series thank you. This year my favorite spinner bait rod has been the mad bull but then again the mad bull is extremely versatile

@@Daiwa_Is_Kingnothing has changed from the GSM takeover.
@@LandonS_23 sounds good thank you sir 🙏
Gary still designs all of the rods. The only thing that has changed is the financial make up of the company.

These are the best fishing videos.

Falcon Cara 6”10 HeadTurner
Overall rod weights is always interesting to me. Wish there was a list of weights based on rods or listed in the website

Savage gear black ops 7 1 med heavy extra fast. It sticks them worked good for chatters to if your popping grass. Little jigs and Texas rigs too.
MB Destroyer Dark Sleeper , bigger 3/4 oz spinnerbaits with trailer Steez Power Pitch. Used to use Falcon Cara Christy Spinnerbait model and was nice.

Most fisherman can get by with 2 spinnerbait rods for 3/8 to 1/2 oz
6-10mh regular/mod fast for close quarters to mid rage
7-3mh regular/mod fast for mid to long casts
Evergreen RCTC-72MH shower blows/power moving bait rod. Sleeper for spinner and chatter baits. Good flex in tip but transitions to a stiffer backbone.
You should try the g loomis $260 spinnerbait rod….. awesome! (The rod with the orange guide wraps)

Pete, your favorite Loomis 843 MBR rod might be the best spinnerbait rod out there…

AbuGarcia 7ft Veritas PLX MH/F 7:1 reel with 15lb flouro
Bandersnatch is the real deal. The megabass madbull is its big brother...it's just a touch softer...killer stick
6'10 to 7'3 mhf for me
But will it be in stock? 🤣
Zillion 7’3 MH/F or Steez 7’2 Moving Bait Versatile
Most Medium&Fast rods feel Heavy&Moderate to me.
Randy Howell makes a great rod for that. It works well as a chatter bait rod as well. 7’2 MH.
How much does the Tatula xt weigh?
This particular model came in at 3.9 ounces
