Good video. Love to hear opinions on “the Ned” rod. Fun rod. I caught an 8 lb bass fishing a Ned weightless on 7 lb defier braid. That was a super fun catch.

On a serious note, would love to see a walleye rod video. More and more lately I incorporate more bass tactics into my walleye fishing but it would be great to get into that a bit more.

What about a hair/ spybait top rods.

I don’t have any experience besides the dobyns 701 and I love that rod. My style is downsized bass fishing. Love throwing 1/8 chatter baits and that new bitsy popper and small t rigs it’s amazing and versatile!!

Absolutely love the victory line...you could stick there and never leave. They do need a 7.1-7.2 M baitcaster added though. I'm a huge fan of the 7.3 M (spinning), 7.3 MH and 7.4 H (baitcasters), think I have 3 or 4 of each, with a few others mixed in. Great video guys.

8’ 80lb rods fair enough casting for gt, 7’6 60lb casting from shore to bouyes. surf fishing mostly use a 6’ rod but night 10 to 12’ is ok when drinking beer.. i dont buy american designed rods to soft in action, dont cast a wide range off lures well. you get suckered into buy more rods then needed. 8 rods on a boats thats money wasting stupidity whencatching a single species a baicaster and a spinning rods is excessive in reality. 7’9 80lb braid to flip heavy cover to catch a 20lb bass erm

american rods are way to long, casting normally is to cover where fish hide, long rods cast to the middle off nowhere near a fish. weird concept hopeing to likley never catch a fish. anything beyond 6,6 is pretty pointless

1st rod medium light compared to australia rods. all american rods are pretty slow

Thanx this is more or less where I do my shopping. I still feel the rod market has gotton a little crazy with bass rods over a thousand. I have a couple Zodius and they are very well made rods. If you can't feel a bite on a Zodius you better stick to moving baits. That said I pick up my Phenix Feathers to feel bites. Cheaper, lighter and more sensitive. Not made better though. Phenix are a little fragile but worth it to me.

In my experience, Dobyns’ “break in” and become weaker, more moderate. For instance, my Sierra 735 c went from a pool cue to a sort of overpowered cranking rod after 30-40 fish. Don’t get me wrong: I still love it add all my Dobyns rods. In fact, I just bought a Fury 705cb and can’t wait to play with it.
