For a lowkey UA-cam reviewer, the review was actually very informative compared to the other youtubers who were all shouting gen 2 opticals etc you clearly done your research. and yeah you definitely should of included the lithium AAA battery mod in the video. I got mine the other day, and got mine to weigh 64 grams with the lithium AAA with tin foil albeit i did use some B7000 Glue to keep the battery in place so it doesnt move if i ever slam the mouse (low sens player) and to keep it secure. The Glue is easily removable and doesnt damage the plastic.
Good to know. And I agree but to review something with a mod I think is not being totally honest. Like I always say. If a mouse has to have tape to feel right then maybe it's just not a good design. Mods should be an addition not a requirement. I'll keep it in mind in the future however.
I think what they are banking on is this mouse offers 4K polling rate if you have the dongle at almost half the price of other 4K offerings. All my experience with 4K polling rates I honestly can’t tell a difference between 1K. That’s not really a selling point for me. I do really like the shape though and if you use a AAA to AA battery adapter with a AAA lithium battery you can get the weight down to 70 grams.
I have had the same experience with 4k polling. I think it is becoming a marketing buzz word. And yeah I thought about using the aluminum foil trick but my videos are janky enough LOL. Thanks for watching.
How can you say you dont think it's worth £69.99? It's got amazing build quality no creaking, top of the line sensor better than what other brands are using, best scroll wheel and side buttons out there and decent main clicks. All you can really complain about is weight which can easily be reduced to mid 60 / low 70 grams. You're insane to say the G305 has better buttons. That's not true at all.
It's my opinion. I've had mice that were cheaper and lighter and felt better with a lithium battery. I also do think the G305 has better build quality even if it's not a direct comparison.
Weight balance compared to the 305 feels vastly better in the viper… could be how I grip them, but it’s like black magic how the viper feels. Imo, this mouse feels like a higher quality than any flagship I own. For me, the battery doesn’t lower the quality.
That intro was fkn gold haha... great vid, man.
Thanks!!! Had fun making that one. Especially since there's a little Indy hidden in most of my videos.

Good review, can't imagine anyone buying it at that price.
Yeah it makes me feel like we are taken advantage of.

@SeriouslyTechStuff preference is preference but there is no way on earth the G305 has better build quality it's not even close.
