The hourly rates in the USA are astronomical and sometimes the work isn't that good, also. Covid also elevated costs for almost everything whether they have been impacted or not - people are using time studies to charge for labor, so often you are paying $200/hour for substandard mechanics. I have had work done in Mexico and they are more honest and labor is not so high. I have had good experiences having work done in Mexico.
I bout a van on ebay. That's when you went wrong. Then you went to Mexico. Second mistake. Then the dealer third mistake. Stop give it away and problem solved.
@@johnfrost446 don't pay this dude no mind. People here in SD go to TJ for everything just about. I know if someone is doing struts on a car, one tells 750 dollars and another says 120 and you can watch me I'm choosing the 120 all day.thats the difference. I was given a quote for 900 to replace my shocks here in SD at one place. Lmao, made me literally pull my tools out and do it myself. now I go to TJ and pay the 120.
much appreciate the info and ill take my camry for needed maintenance and also enjoy the town !!!

It's a spring compressor tool. They are great in Mexicali and Tijuana. Just find the correct shop
Great video. Do they only work on imports ir do they work in domestic vehicles also?
My truck did not pass the brake and light inspection its cost me $600 to fix it. I got a estimate in TJ for $120 am go next week
Any reputable auto shops in TJ to get autowork done?
What's the shop rate over there?
thanks
Wooow el mejor. De mexicali
Always take your own parts...that's even cheaper. Even at AutoZone
Mexicali is worse than Tijuana right now.maybe not when you did this video, but it's been bad there. TJ is safe and has more options.

I've put about a hundred thousand miles on this van since I did this video. Show me on the doll where Ebay and the Mexicans grabbed you.
