Except all reolink are 15 FPS. This basically means if you need to pause it to get an ID photo, it’s not going to be that good. Two parts to the purpose of a security camera:
One:
Safety in terms of knowing someone’s out there.
But also, the need to submit the video and photo to the police. Without a clear ID shot, you are limiting their chances.

Those cameras that screw into a light bulb socket have a huge vulnerability: a thief can easily steal them by simply unscrewing them!

Hi all, reolink PT cam is in my experience rubbish. IP rating is fantasy, ours stopped working after barely 2 years. Took it down and the whole thing was water logged !

Reolink battery/solar cameras die in winter cold freezing. Only suitable for mild climates.
Only suitable for mild climates what is your idea of mild? Mine don’t freeze up until about 5 below zero with their solar panels. Once they freeze up if the do I just bring them inside for about 30 minutes and their good to go again. Some other brands have the same issues of their batteries freezing up and not all Reolink cameras have this issue. But some people might find this issue not acceptable for them but the 2 times in 3 years that this happened to mine there hadn’t been any sunlight shining on and of the 4. I live in northern Northern Michigan so only having this happen 2 times in 3 years in my opinion isn’t to bad. I will be upgrading my cameras to Reolink new model cameras with the trac feature later this month. Do you have a camera that you recommend for the features and price port of the Reolinks? I have yet to but please if you do share them I am always taking suggestions. Thank You
@@MYTOYMAKERZ I am in USDA Zone 3. ReoLink says not below freezing or even close. I get one failed battery a year. Once they die bringing them in has not helped.
@@pubwvj - I haven’t had an issue with my batteries- 2 times not recovering I just brought them inside to warm up and back outside the went. But I think it might depend how long their allowed to stay outside once they quit working also. Thanks
@@MYTOYMAKERZ You forgot to mentioned the part where you have to get on ladder, unmount camera, charge it, mount it back, adjust the view , fall from ladder. 3-12 times per year per each camera. Fun if you have 32 or more cameras. Battery cameras suck. Get cat5e or cat6 POE.

@Irene Stolz don't have any free Wi Fi security camera all should use Wi Fi otherwise just rec but you can't control from your smart phone

Reolink is the worst. Bad customer service. I bought 2 camera, didn't work after change modem. Waste my money. Don't recommend anybody to have this based on my bad experience
Wow as expensive as their cameras are you shouldn't have too many problems, especially, for it not to be freaking working. I was thinking about purchasing them because of the non wifi, cable free.
Never heard anyone else speak badly of reolink. I’ve heard nothing but great things and I’ve seen there picture quality an it was quite amazing to me personally.

I have 5 Reolink wifi security cameras outdoor. All working, rechargeable batteries, placed 4 outdoor and 1 Argus solar powered. Great!
Just had reolink experience and support was great. They were answering my emails even over weekend and backed the product
