It saddens me that so many people were allegedly inspired by Randy but all they got out of it was "fast." Randy was the original shredder, but he never forgot that he was a musician first.
I love those solos. But in my opinion it miss Tornado of souls and Painkiller. Great job by the way!

Can’t get over how good the floods solo is, such a great song
Criss Oliva was like a sonic tidal wave! So melodic every time you can almost hum or whistle all his solo’s. I feel like melody always came first with him when it came to his approach for solos. Then sprinkle those monster bends, dazzling legato and perfect amount of shred and it’s just insane. Top 5 favorite guitarist for me.

I screamed so hard when Edge of Thorns came up. Savatage is seriously in my opinion one of the most important metal bands that get glossed over. Again, just my opinion.

Wow I had commented about Jason Becker when the first video came out, I'm really happy to see it in the updated version
The Criss Oliva, Randy Rhoads and Jason Becker stuff is just timeless sounding like a solo that combines melody and technique flawlessly. The rest was cool, but sounded more like a bunch of ideas stuck together not overly concerned with what the rhythm was doing underneath. I personally think Pull Me Under is a better example of Patrucci's playing balance between the two, but all of it was awesome (especially Skolnik who I had never really listened to before.....going to have to learn that just because it was flat out awesome).

Randy, ou la technique au service de la musique(de même pour Dimebag ou Adrian Smith). Certes pas le plus rapide, ni le plus gros shreddeur*, mais le choix des notes, des techniques...un des premiers à avoir si bien mélangé musique classique(trilles, mineure naturelle, harmonique, mélodique(...), modes, ostinato...etc) et
heavy-métal/hard-rock.
* comparé aux guitaristes virtuoses d'aujourd'hui évidemment. En 40 ans, le niveau des musiciens (de blues à métal) a énormément évolué.

Eskiden bu soloların hepsi mükemmel geliyordu kulağıma şimdi o kadar hissiyat alamıyorum. Sadece Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan gibi gitaristlerde bir şey hissedebiliyorum. Criss Oliva, Dimebag Darrell hariç onlar hala ilk günkü gibiler.

Türkçe yazarak etkileşim düşürdüysem simdiden özür dilerim (ingilizcem berbat:/) trooper soloyu her duyduğumda tüylerim diken diken oluyor bayada guzel calmissiniz bende maalesef sadece akustik gitar mevcut fiyatlar falan uçuk para biriktirsem bile daha önemli birsuru ihtiyacim olduğu icin zor gibi ona rağmen akustikte belli basli sololari çalmaya calisiyorum nothing else matters olsun fade to black in bazi partlari thunderstruck introsu vs ama gitar jumbo kasa ve 20 perdeden oluşuyor bu yüzden aslinda biraz alternatif rockta sıkıştım diyebilirim ona rağmen alismaya basladim oncesinde 14. perdeyi bile kullanamazdim simdi güç bela 18 19 da bend falan atmaya başladım :) gamlari ogrenmeye lickleri ogrenmeye biraz daha teori kismina zaman ayirmaya basladim umarim elektro gitari en kisa zamanda alıp en efsane parcalara giris yapacagim elektro calan birisini falsn gördükçe gidip müzik market soyasim falan geliyor cidden o tatmin olmayi bi gun yasayacagim umarim cok guzel bi elektro ile bir yandan da ekonomiyi falan düşünunce keske bu hale dusmeseydik diyorum baya üzücü bir durum aslında bakalim umarim ileriki günlerde hepimiz icin en sagliklisi olur (biraz dolmuşum iyi geldi :) )
