@@ScotMendenhall Thank you for the replay I appreciate it , love your contact bro its fun , I still have the warranty on my XR so I guess I would have to wait ! but I want the black food PAAADDs LOL
@scotmendenhall I will bro! My boardsuit the camo sweatshirt an shorts that you can buy from TFL came in. I’m not going to take it off wow it’s so comfy I would recommend highly. I bought the two new 5 panel float hats as well and man they are awesome!
I changed my grip tape the other day and the front corners of the clear plastic came up, not the sensor though. I had to glue the corners down so they would lay flat so I could install the grip tape. I’ve taken the board out on a few rides since then and everything is working and engaging/disengaging just fine, but it’s in the back of my head. Should I just replace the footpads or do you think it’s fine if I leave them on?
@@ScotMendenhall I ended up buying new footpads, but now that I’ve had the board a bit longer and understand how it works I realize I didn’t need them. As a new rider I was being overly over cautious lol, BUT, now I have a spare set!!
Wonder if the new grip tape will help with the foot slippage on race days? The old stuff looked pretty warm down, maybe it had lost some of its grippiness...
Hey, thanks for the video. When removing the tape can you see the plastic covering the sensors raise a little as the tape is coming off? I thought something was loose when touching the pad so I decided to change the tape, looks like the plastic is loose and I can’t tell if it’s normal or not. The board I got new isn’t like that so I assume not. Future Motion sold me a front pad for$100 even, spendy but didn’t have to buy both. Will save it if you think the sensors are fine. I tested them and everything seems 100% except the plastic looking like it’s loose over both sensors. Any insight is appreciated, Thanks
Scot! Random question, but do you listen to music while you ride? I know you're close to Minneapolis and I'm not sure if you're aware, but MLPS has one of the best independent (ie - underground) hip hop secnes in the country. If you like hip hop (not gangster rap or mumble stuff.. true, lyrical hip hop with positive messages) then I would highly recommend checking out Rhymesayers, specifically Atmosphere and Brother Ali. Brother Ali has a lot of spiritual messages in his tracks, while Atmosphere is more on good vibes. To get you started, check out "Brother Ali - Rain Water" and you'll probably be hooked.
great video
Thanks for watching.
Great content ! BTW , is a possible to install the front grip tape over the original one without removing it ? thanks
Sorry but it will not stick to the old grip tape. You have to take it off.

A couple weeks ago I was replacing my pints grip tape and ripped the sensors. Had to order new footpads
Oh no! That's not good. Have they arrived yet?
Scot Mendenhall Yeah they have, definitely won’t be making that mistake again! It’s so easy to avoid.

you should be fine. I have taken the plastic of all the way on some of our boards to help with activation

OH maybe that will help. Lets not tell the crew about this. lol

I wonder if the sensor lost it grip or stickiness and that's what you are seeing. can you glue it down?
The lemonade float co is an awesome company and also the grip tape looks so sick on your OW! Nice touch with the black painted footpads
Thanks Miss LIly.

It's a great question to ask in life and we see the world through that question. For me it has everything to do with all things in the world.
@@ScotMendenhall ok yeah just wasent trying to be rude that came out rude sorry snd thx for explantion.

those are great artis and going to be on my playlist now. Thanks for sharing.
Great video like always!!! I never knew that grip tape was sand paper but it makes so much sense.
Yep just really rough sandpaper
Use heat on the back as well as the front, makes it much easier and no prying needed.
Good call. Didn't think of that. thanks for sharing.
Is it recommended to remove the pads first from the Onewheel?
No you don't need to. I just had extra footpads laying around.
I want that grip tape for my Onewheel
It's really nice grib tape
