please dont walk more than 1 dog at a time. the more dogs you walk , the more difficult it is to pick up #2 & in case of an emergency more dogs may be injured. sharing a walk is not fair to the dog. expandable leashes are potentially dangerous because they are harder to control. they are best for playing in parks where leashes are required. ive walked a few hundred dogs thousands of times including for humane societies

I'm not sure I agree entirely. I've had 2 dogs for the past 14 years (1 died last year) and walking them every day has been a real joy for the three of us. They had opposite personalities which worked very well and the same high energy levels. I think the key is making sure your dogs have similar exercise needs and that they are compatible, ie like each other.

@@tessmonro7102 i walked 4 retired racing greyhounds at midnight in a gated community so i thought i was safe until a large retriever jumped out of the fog in front of them. i was lucky that retired greyhounds are 'couch potatoes' or it could have been a disaster. ive walked different size dogs where the smaller dog holds the other back from enjoying the walk. one dog wants to smell everything, its a long list. i rescued a 2-ft. monitor lizard which i was barely able to do with 1 dog & carried it thrashing for 7 minutes to my car with the dog leaping at it. i rescued a california king snake out of the intersection as i walked a playful pitbull mix. like i stated, ive walked a few hundred dogs thousands of times.

Very helpful, thank you. My six month mini Schazzer always pulls and pulling, the lead back doesn't work. I'll try the stopping tomorrow.
