    I love this Daniel!
I agree with all the pros you mention and can relate to them.
BTW, I came here from Santa Barbara, CA AKA The American Riviera.
A modest home there begins around a million dollars -and it is probably a glorified shack.
All this is relative, of course.
My small apartment here rents for around $950 US. In Santa Barbara, it would be around $1,500 US per month, and I would probably be living next to a junkyard.

Yes, all very relative. For the price of a downpayment here, I could buy a home outright (ie, in cash) in Cork. Ditto of course in other parts of the world including the US. I agree with the thinking of a friend of mine that Israel isn't a unique case. It's simply an exaggerated case of the kind of social divisions that unfettered capitalism inevitably creates. Social to capitalism at lightning speed. The results have been mixed. Or at least, unequitable.

Love your videos Daniel about Israel . 40 yrs ago was on Kibbutz, so decided to come and visit next April. But being English, I obviously like a beer or 2++, however, your news of the cost of Living and the woeful £ , means it may hurt. Where do you suggest in Jerusalem for a good beer that won’t cost the earth . Ta

There's a great spot called Hataklit (in English "the record"). They do a daily happy hour and have pretty good prices even when they don't. Thanks for your kind words and hope you have a wonderful time (you will!)
