This is one of my favourite bikes of all time. The combination of the gorgeous sexy bodywork in contrast with the chunky, agricultural looking Guzzi motor is just so damn appealing to me. I love sportbikes, but with a full faired bike like a 916 you loose the visual appreciation of the motor part of the motorcycle. The MGS01 is the perfect antidote for this issue. Love this fact that this one has proper, history making IOM heritage! How cool is that?! Anyway, really enjoyed seeing this very rare beauty .Thank you for the video
Well said, sir. Agree that the 916 probably just beats out the Guzzi for "best design of all time" - but you're right that being able to see the "heart" of the beast really does inspire a special emotion. I could stare at this bike for hours.
I agree. When the 916 came out, the Daytona and the 916 were the latest and greatest. The 916 looked more amazing of course, but that was because the faring was hiding an ugly mess underneath. There was something more pure about the Guzzi. Even the engine looked good. That chunky air-cooled engine was totally out of place in the gorgeous Italian bodywork. The rawness of the Guzzi, although less pretty than the 916, made it more interestng and emotional than the Ducati.
Thankyou for the video I've never seen one in the flesh & never be wealthy enough to own one. Cannot remember but it was one of the Ghezzi Brian pair who was involved with the styling. Engine is a bit larger than a Daytona at 1225 (I think you said) Daytona was 992. The engine isn't overhead cam in the strict definition but HiCam where the cams are in the heads but driven onto the valves via short pushrods (or cam followers if you prefer). Although the engine looks the same as a Daytona there were a whole slew of changes inside including the oil circuit etc: The changes weren't just performance oriented and all the better for it. Arguably the best looking and out and out "sports" bikes ever produced in Mandello (IMHO)
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Totally agree with you, best looking Guzzy ever!!!
This is the prettiest Guzzi i have ever seen.
Very nice video.

Timeless beautiful bike
My favorite guzzi!!!!! That they will never make but I know a guy who can 😉
Now Guzzi has the new water cooled engine, a new version would be a winner for them 👍
NICE BIKE!!!! But a wee ride around the block wouldn't have gone amiss 😁
It would be nice but the local police might have other ideas !!
@@lussoveloce 🤣😂🤣
What a bike, would love to own it !
Beautiful motorcycle 🏍️ brilliant stuff be awesome to own historic,, and on the parade laps,,at venues ☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Check also the Ghezzi-Brian Supertwin 1100…
Love it
Government regulations killed it. Far too expensive to homologate.
4 valve not 2 valve
make it lighter like dry 140kg or less... use titanium block and parts and mag wheels....AND THEN I WILL BUY AND RACE ONE in Macau CHN...
questa si che e' una Moto Guzzi beautifull dream
Fucking awesome..
Nettamente meglio che lei Giapponesi
