    “Almighty and ever-living God: We ask to be Thy servant, O’Lord, and to be a vehicle of Divine Love, a channel of Thy Will. We ask for direction and Divine assistance, and we surrender all personal will through devotion to Thy Truth. We dedicate our life to Thy service. Help us to choose love and peace above all other options, and to surrender all of our judgements to Thee, that we might have unconditional love and compassion for all of life in all of its expressions and surrender our very life to Thee at all times in all places.
    Gloria in Excelsis Deo, now and forever, Amen.” 🙏
    Dr. David R. Hawkins

    Woah! This is one of my all-time favorite clips from The Way to God: Karma and the Afterlife (available on Audible). When I need some (comic) relief, I play the part that’s in the last 20 seconds of this video. Love you all!

    Inspiration causes consciousness (the individuated being too) to want to experience something, and free will is basically the ability to act upon it or not. Basically free will is the ability to say no to God and/or choose unhappiness.

    I was told by consciousness I am above Karma, like Dr Hawkins was told, I was given a pie in the sky shot at being God on Earth, as I was desperate and called on God, I was trained by Mary, Jesus and the Father, now I am a Mind Deist

    From a(n) (unwilling) believer that we don't have free will, thank you for posting this! His answer is actually very reasonable. How could there be karma if there is no free will (specifically with regard to choices made on moral grounds). Hmmm. Need to ponder this

      I don't think he answered the question. Even if choice creates an opportunity to break the causal chain, karma being tied to choice implies that it is causal. I don't see how karma being watered down by probability and new opportunities for choice changes that.

      Karma comes not from doing but from the intention. For example, if you enjoy a bull fight, even if you aren’t doing anything, the fact that one enjoys the suffering of life, one is attracted to suffering, then there is karma.
      Karma is not about doing, it’s about an intention to “juice” or “enjoy” the suffering of others.

      En el Karma una acción con su determinada intención producen una respuesta .
      Pero no es causa y efecto es que la respuesta a la acción tiene un solo origen que es la Divinidad .
      Doc lo explico en otro lado así .

      @@pedrozaragoza2253 Yep, that gives a clear picture why our life is this way.

      @@pedrozaragoza2253 thanks for your reply. I do understand that, but what I'm referring to is whether we are programmed to behave in ways that are outside of our control. That is, you may have the illusion that you have an intention, but that is merely due to neural circuitry firing based on deterministic physical laws. I'm not saying I'm a reductionist to this extent, but that's the dilemma I was referring to.

    The interesting thing is that I have actually experienced Self/ divinity/ God through mushrooms and I read Hawkins work and he describes what I experienced in my journey. And even with all that I still have an ego that prevents me to fully believe.

    • @thombaz
      @thombaz 3 місяці тому +2

      I used to do that by simply meditating. My ego maybe strong/stubborn too. You will get used to it ebb and flow.

      Experiencing some aspect/quality of Divinity via drugs (which includes mushrooms) cannot result in the same beneficial consequences as via meditation/surrender. Via drugs it's cheating and via meditation/surrender it's earned.
