Hi, I messed up.
I'm going to try to answer every questions i have seen.
1.The creatures sizes from this video are comming from the official subnautica wiki and the in game infos you can get by scanning creatures. If you think the size isn't right, well complain about it to UnkownWorld cause i didn't chose what they put on pda.
2.I totally had forgotten about the void Chelicerate. It does 65m and would be between Reefbacks and Ghost Juveniles.
3.There is two other extinct leviathans (Ancient Skeleton and Research Specimen Theta) that aren't mentioned in this video, and this is because we don't know their size.
4.From the point where Humans become red spot, their size are messed up, the red spot should be, at least, twice as big. Sorry about that but it's kida dificulte to represent a thing that does 1.8m on a pic that goes 5672 by 10000 px.
5.The "Void Ghost Leviathan" isn't a thing. The ghosts in the void are regular scaled adults ghosts.
6.Squidshark isn't a leviathan. It is only 11m long and that not engouht du consider it as a leviathan. Wiki say "Despite what the PDA says, the Squidshark is not actually considered a leviathan, since it's databank entry is found under the "Carnivores" tab, instead of under the "Leviathans" tab."
7.By the way, Cryptosuchus aren't either! From the point where their pda description says "Avoid, but can be handled in a pinch.", I'm sorry but that can't be a leviathan. (plus they are equivalent of sandsharks so, not leviathans)
8.Gargantuan leviathan mods aren't relevant. The actual size of a Gargantuan leviathan is 1100m to 1500m, and i'm talking about adults here, not juveniles.
9.I used meters cause i'm european, and even in the wiki, size are in meters
10.The name of the music is "Leviathan", it's a subnautica original soundtrack
11.The sea emperor juvenile are the babies of the sea emperor. Most of players know them when they are like 1 or 2 meters tall but they actually grow up until being 160m as it can be seen in that video : ua-cam.com/video/xz51IF_Xn30/v-deo.html

@@cubixman9676 yeah they are, the Juvenile Ventgarde is around 20m and the humans are a bit below 2m but on the scale shown you could stack up to a 100 humans and it would be the same size as the Ventgarde

Now imagine meeting something like that in the void, i would probably get a cold sweat and goosebumps. There are very few things that scare me, large sea creatures in the middle of the ocean is the biggest nope for me. You really feel defenseless.

I think subnautica have one of the best history into the games, like first the history into the planet, about the biggest creatures on the planet, and most in the past of it, then, for the expeditions of the humans, and how they died, and the best part of the history is the alien invasion and the virus, the defense system for the things or people that want to enter to the quarantine planet, and how the aliens died for that, how they investigate about that virus and how they could repair it. Finally, the history is fabulous, it is impressive how it unfolds. Oh and something else, it seemed pretty good and smart, putting capsules in the end for the people who will play the game, that gives a little more feeling to the game, also after finishing it, it's like you don't want to leave, you want to stay and live there, without anyone bothering you, taking care (spoiler alert) of the emperor, living quietly, exploring the planet in search of more adventure, but hey, everything that begins ends, and ends in a very sad and sentimental with a countdown: 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 .............. goodbye planet, I had very good and scary moments with you, with adventures and excitement, see you soon and may the force be with you. Cool video! But I want to point out a few things: The dot that represents human for scale is not ~1.7m compared to the 20m juvenile vent garden. The dot looks more like 0.2m in comparison. The glow whale is much smaller than 30m in BZ (though I know they scaled it down from the original design). In the lore there are 3 stages of the Ghost Leviathan, Juvenile in Lost River, Teenager (or something like that) in Grand Reef, and Adult in Void, would be nice to see all 3. None of the extinct fossil leviathans are shown here, which would be nice to see as well.

I'm actually really shocked at how big Mama Emperor was in the original Subnautica. She doesn't look that much bigger than the Sea Dragon when you're inside of the Primary Containment Facility, but apparently she's the size of a kaiju

For people saying this is in accurate, you are wrong. This comparison is what the Devs say the sizes are but the sizes are not made accurately in game. A sea emperor should be the size of godzilla but it's not even half of it. There canonical sizes are way bigger than their sizes in game and this comparison is showing their canonical sizes
This! If anyone needs a reference, compare the size of a blue whale to that of a reaper leviathan. A blue whale is about 30 meters in length on average, while a reaper is stated to be 55 meters. An in-game reaper wouldn't even be half the length of a blue whale, if image comparisons have been anything to go by.
The devs have been consistently way off with the size of their creatures in the PDA vs the in-game version.

@@sink5164 That's not what I'm arguing here. The reason the size values look so off is because the video author is using the numbers given in the data entries, which as mentioned above are horribly inaccurate to the actual size of the leviathans in-game. If you want to do another video of your own, you can find the in-game models and put them side by side with the human models. Measure them out and you'll find that most of the in-game models are VERY small compared to the data entry values.
But yes, the humans are way too small in this. They should not be specs compared to the 20m leviathans.
@@TheNewtC Wrong actually, there are measurements in the game that clearly show that they are accurate to the sizes claimed in the Data entry, only the Glow Whale is known to have been downsized as far as the comments go. Every video i have seen showing the size of these creatures have been shown to be the exact size they are, even to the art work.

I think the reaper is the scariest since atleast for me, is the most realistic one while being big, is an actual realistic size making you think it could actualy exist.
The reaper is about 20% bigger than the largest of blue whales - on earth, a reaper’s size would be very unsustainable since the blue whale is speculated to be the maximum size for vertebrate to reach.
I had no idea the Gargantuan Leviathan was that big. Wow that's scary.

Gonna check the ventgarden adult size myself. Not discrediting yours but personally I can't believe the size of the sea emperor in comparison. Like the vent garden is effectively and entire structure, although the sea emperors full length nearly takes up her containment chamber so I suppose that lines up
The scale in this video isn't off except for the humans, where it is just ridiculous. The sea emperor is really huge, when you put all other animals in her containment and see the relative size.

Because they’re in a screen scaled much smaller than your average moniter or Tv , or maybe because they are scaled from a human to a garg or just the PoV view

Even though you pinned a correction, the size comparison of the human still bothers me. It's not "at least twice as big" you have them 4-5 times smaller than they should be.

No even though the PDA says it’s a leviathan it is not, because leviathans can only be 20m at the smallest.

the game itself does not classify the squidshark as leviathan class, even though it uses the term to describe it

either someone on the team mistakenly left that word in its description or forgot to put it in the leviathan category
the whole idea of "leviathan" is like a biblical/mythological term? and I think the creature the whole myth comes from is described at around 50 or so feet? which is about 15 meters
so even going off of the myth as the rule, the minimum would be 15 feet
Actually in the Subnautica universe, A Leviathan should have the bare minimum of 20m to be classified as a proper Leviathan regardless of of its hostility.
So a SquidShark (11m) wouldn't count as a Leviathan. This bug of PDA saying it has been their for so long but they didn't bother changing it
Yeah data bank entries for the animals in Below Zero can be pretty low effort and that one encapsulates it well

Ya should have added Garg above every other one from side to side to just show how MASSIVE it is (or just a pic of all leviathans above one another and then show it off). and yes by that point the dev's already acknowledged the modders and premited its existence. Plus : Its estimated 3 KM long (so basicaly a single hair from lucoa) not 1.5. That beast eats emperors/empresses for breakfast!

Adult ghost is in the video labeled, "Ghost" as opposed to "juvenile ghost"
Juvenile are near the tree and will move out to explore WHILE growing, when it reaches Adulthood it will end up in the Void
Also Void Chelicerate is slightly larger than the normal one so no need, and the design itself looks like it is about to die

I fucked up a bit with the seize of humans at the time they become red spot but the size of leviathans are right (and the representative size of each of them). So yeah humans to leviathans size is messed up but leviathan to another leviathan are right. If you forget about human, the video is valid
