I'm trying to make it over there as well. I still have to wait for my passport but after I get it I'm coming. I don't have military experience but I know I can at least help in other ways if they don't let me join. It makes me almost cry 😢 thinking about what you are all going through. It isn't right. That's why I feel like I can't just sit here and let this happen. If you have any advice on how and where I should go after I land in Poland. Keep in mind it'll take almost 2 months for me to get there. At least I'll have more travel money.
My poor health is the only thing keeping me here. I would love to help !

As a tear rolls down my face, I'm so proud of all those men and other volunteers not shown.
We spent 4 years trying to keep foreigners out of the US and hear are great examples of what unknowns foreigners can and will do for others who are threatened.
(My dad was a foreigner and my brother and i both joined the military for our country). Most people are not strangers, but friends you haven't met.

Hat's off to the brave volunteers going to help in Ukraine. This the most clear and present struggle between liberty and tyranny and these people are boldly taking a stand for liberty. I wish them all the best, this conflict must end with victory for Ukraine against the invaders.

@@post7027 There have been many conflict, some about ideologies, some about religion, some about politics...most of those were not directly threatening nuclear war against multiple nations. Injustice exists in geopolitics, no doubt, but Putin is unhinged and is threating the safety of billions of people that crosses ethnic and racial lines in multiple nations. The whataboutisim is understandable but not helpful in this situation.

@@post7027 there is truth in that statement. But another truth is that America has been trying to set up democracy in the countries it's invaded. Not take over. The fear is that Russia is essentially changing the international order by invading a country and trying to hold parts of it changing their borders. If America invaded Canada or mexico to take a chunk of land in this day and age the world would be reacting the same way and we'd be the bad guys. Another reality is that any super power at any time could have done this. But it's been understood that a war between us, could end us as a species. So, no one has crossed that line. Putin and the people around him allowing him to do this, are threatening our existence. At the very least they have broken down the unspoken rules of our society. It almost seems like a movie and he's a literal villain. If people close to him weren't ok with this he would have been executed/assassinated by now.
