I really enjoy this pairing. As much as I love downtuned metal, there’s something about drop D and E standard that have so much more bark and growl that really gets me pumped. That was really brought to light with this pair. Thanks Rabea for your hard work on this series. I’m loving it!
So amazed how many of our influences align. Opeth and extreme dominated my teenage years! Oddly enough we sort of play similar although I’m definitely not as practiced or as creative as you. Sad about Toska but always happy to see a video.
I remember distinctly him saying he basically didn't give Opeth a shot until like, maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I was so shocked too because he just whipped out Master's Apprentices in an Andertons video.
I would love to see a modern high gain amp combined with some gnarly fuzz to create absolute filth. Always love your playing and videos. Keep up the great work!
Would love to hear the JVM with the SLO or the Revv, I think that would sound massive! Side note: could you please do a video on your theory with ambient composition?
This is a super fun series!!!! I would like to see some insanely different amps done together. Like a Vox and a Mesa or old v new and mix an old Marshall with an EVH. That would be pretty fun. I bet some pretty sick tones will be born!
Dual rectifier needs to be tried here. Quite a few bands in my neck of the woods used to use dual recs with either a marshall or a 5150. Sounded killer, and not just for metal either - great rock and punk rhythm tones too
Thank you for doing this! Once you started the series, THIS was the combo I wanted to see/hear! Now, I just need to get my hands on one of those super Krakens... 🤘😊🤘
Cheers from Texas! 🤘😎🤘 Really enjoying this series of left right blends of massive amps and would appreciate a little panning in the middle here and there of both just for kicks. You mentioned it was hard to get rid of the hum or whatever is making the noise. Many times a building is not properly grounded; for how many power outlets end up on the main breaker/fuse box ground. How about a video with some power conditioner tests? I use an inexpensive Furman for my desk... No time to shoot video comparison... 🥺 Peace, Love, and Joy for the battles! Michael Francis
Hard to go back to one amp. I’ve been doing this for years now. It just sounds so massive. Really like this series. I use a Rivera s120 with a PRS Archon ran through 3 4x12’s. Sometimes I’ll use the knucklehead 100 instead of the PRS but the PRS blends so well.
The combination of these two sounded better than i thought. Also could you do these heavy harmony videos more often please ? Two weeks delay does not cut it.
I’m so late to the party on the series but it’s awesome! This combination of amps is my favorite so far. I feel like whether it’s low gain or higher gain there is no need for the tube screamer at all.
I agree with the tubescreamer, I also like the sound you get with it but it also adds compression which I dont like for rhythm, for leads it's nice. I'd would be nice to get a tube screamer without the compression
@Rabea Massaad You should be able to kill the hiss with a noise gate/suppressor. I know they're not your thing, but using something like the ISP Decimator II G-String via the 4-cable method should take care of things. If you set the level just high enough to stop the hiss, it shouldn't interfere with your playing or your sustain (even if you're switching between clean and overdrive channels). Speaking personally, my JVM's overdrive channels are really hissy and I wanted to stop that. I tried an MXR Smart Gate, but it only killed some of the noise when placed in front of the amp. When placed in the loop, it would take care of the noise issue completely...but would cut out the sound when I switched to the clean channels unless I turned the gate level down enough that it no longer helped with the OD hiss. I also tried a TC Electronics Sentry noise gate via the 4-cable method, but it couldn't handle the level in the JVM's loop and would choke up. After doing some more research, I found others recommending the ISP Decimator II G-String (specifically the G-String model, not the standard version; the latter doesn't do 4-cable). After picking one up, it was exactly what I needed. It's a "set it and forget it" pedal - set the level and then just play, switch channels, whatever without having to think about it. Hope this helps.
Awesome series, I was wondering if you could do this series with a solid state combo? I live in a apartment/flat so I can’t get too terribly loud lol. Right I only have one amp which is the Boss Katana Artist MKii 100 and was looking for a similar type amp to pair it up with. Love the videos, Cheers from New Mexico USA.
Yeah, maybe with an Orange Crush 120. I've just got a katana to go with mine but not tried them together yet. Would be interesting with some cheaper amps i think
@@thebenwmusic that would be interesting to do I prefer sound of tube amps but in my situation I have to use solid state however the katana Artist is a great amp for what it is. Just looking for a good amp to pair it with and to use wet/dry I’ll have to look some videos on the orange crush and see.
nice video thx! just a question: why are you placing IR Box + the CAB with the IR of the archetype nolly, after the amps ? I don't understand the utility... bye!
Huge tone! Love the depth and clarity. How about some old school high gain meets modern high gain? Sunn Beta Lead and your Marshall JVM or Mezzabarba running FANE speaker I.R. through the Suhr reactive load!
Hmmmm... what about a 5150III/soldano (tight mids and treble) blended with a really growlly and nasty marshall (for the bass growling stuff) kinda amp?
I love it! That baritone tone song big as hell! My favorite of the video series. Maybe you can try with a transistor + valve amp combination. Katana/kraken or something similar to see if is a good or bad idea to do that xD.
Always a massive fan of your playing but you seemed on fire in this video. Not sure what you mean about “shakey playing” 😂 love these tones and looking forward to JVM & Soldano, JVM & Kraken!
Rabea i hope to see soon play live in italy. Your playing influeced me more about rithm and voices with delay and reverb. If you want to listen to a rock amp i recommend frog amp. Very very intresting Italian amplifier and yoou cables for guitar.
Hey, Bea. How about blending some amps which are pretty different. Loving the series so far though. I loved the JVM and the SLO, since I have the JVM and always loved the SLO.
Friedman BE100 and the super kraken. Out of your personal amp collection the kraken and the mezzabarba I think would sound insane together. And if that's a revv generator in the back that with the kraken or marshall would be cool
While I am here; I am trying to work my way through Aggy Bas…simply knocks me off my feet every time listening to it. Are there any tabs available? Watching you in Slo-Mo for the 1000th time can get very tiring… lol
Is there anything special you use for noisy signal? I have a emg loaded guitar and a tele with noiseless pickups and it tends to be quite noisy even on cleans. I used the universal audio arrow, and a focusrite 2i2 same deal a weird hum. Thought maybe grounding but can’t seem to figure it out. I don’t hear the hum outta my amp but it’s only a modeling amp so it might have a gate built in on. Thanks for the content always trying to learn.
I'm curious if you have had a chance to play around with the SLO30? I have a Helix and the SLO has really jumped out to me in a such a way that I'm thinking about a SLO30...any thoughts vs the SLO100?
I would love to see you pairing a Dover DA-50 (if you can get your hands on it) with SLO-100 or some kind of 5150. I have the plugin versions of them (ML Soundlab, Audio Assault etc.) and they sound killer together. I would love to listen to the real ones together.
@ 8:34 Closure and Windowpane by Opeth, that put a smile on my face right away :)
This whole series is fantastic.
SLO100 + DUAL REC PLEASE
I second this opinion.
OMG YES!!!
I’d love to see your take on blending more differing amps flavors. Sort of along the lines of Adam Jones stacking Diezel and Marshall tones.
Could even do a high gain harmony centered around recreating Adam Jones's tone. One of the ultimate mixes of high gain amps there.
This please
Thank you, I was about to suggest the same. Vintage kinda amp blended with modern especially.
Diezel plus marshall sounds like a killer combo!
I love the fact you get so carried away with these.
Your baritone ambient stuff is out of this world man, we need more of this, even an EP
I really enjoy this pairing. As much as I love downtuned metal, there’s something about drop D and E standard that have so much more bark and growl that really gets me pumped. That was really brought to light with this pair. Thanks Rabea for your hard work on this series. I’m loving it!
4:36 Good ol' Karnivool
Edit: The tone during this video was amazing. My dream tone for ambient/high gain ambient if that even exist
That neck pickup on the dirty clean is everything man... I need a PRS damn

What happened to Toska ?
@@LukeG_Eire they parted ways.

The Caudal Lure!!! So good!!
Also loving how well they blend together!!!
Yes! I recognized the chords, but not the song..
I love when you sneak some Opeth riffs, Bea!
You’re constantly killin it bro!!! Keep doing what you do!!!
The Caudal Lure riff ❤️
Yes more Opeth riffs pleasee!!! So good to hear the isolated guitar parts, especially with you absolutely nailing it
The 'peth riffs that permeated this video were perfection
Those 2 amps are absolutely made for each other. Best pair yet!
I would love to see a modern high gain amp combined with some gnarly fuzz to create absolute filth. Always love your playing and videos. Keep up the great work!
OMFG that tone in the intro...so good
"apologize for the shakey playing" ??? You donkey we're sitting here with our jaws dropped as usual!! I fuckin love you Bea!
No matter the combinations your playing makes everything sound massive/inspiring
never apologize for the vibe stuff. all sounds maaahooosive
Rabea, it's just so damn good, your talent + the tones. It's just magic mate.
Loving this series. Keep it up🤘
Sounds great! Love the bit of Opeth.
awesome! glad you did that one! The Kraken is no joke that's for sure!
You are doing fantastic job.Great to watch. Full professionalism.
I think that would be really cool to pair the VX Kraken with the Revv G20. Astonishing playing as usual, Bea; cheers ❤️!
You have been the man..🤣💥💥🙌 always a pleasure to listen to your playing shaky or not. I very much have been enjoying this series.. respect all day..
Luv to here the tube selections if that actually makes a difference
So far just some epic tones great series on your channel so good 👍
The windowpane lick is so cool
great Opeth tone Bea, love it
this series is spectacular.....so far the SLO and the JVM were the best blend I think
Would love to hear the JVM with the SLO or the Revv, I think that would sound massive!
Side note: could you please do a video on your theory with ambient composition?
that sounds immense! glad to see the irythill burst baritone getting some use
That sounds sooooo gooooood! Glad I got a VX, now for an SLO.... Awesome man!

And also the Vh4 with a marshall for Adam Jones 🤘🏻🔥
Yesss! Probably THE combination. Afaik Bullet for my Valentine used 5150+Recti on The Poison!
We see what you did there... nice Karnivool riff. Great tone.
Cheers.
VX 100 and an old two channel Mesa Rectifier would be awesome to hear!!! 🤯🤩
OOO OOO!!! Vox AC30 paired with a dual/triple Recitfier into V30s and G12-100K!!!
Quality sounds, great work dude
Damn! Such amazing tones

Love the Closure riff

Engl Invader 100 blended with Victory Kraken 100 ... this is something I would like to hear.
Awesome video content once again!
Cheers .
Rabea ! Can you do a ''My guitar collection'' type of video ?
I really like the Victory here.
Getting real slipknot vibes from both together with the barratone, that sounds unreal
Love the series, I would like to hear the mezzabarba combined with vx 100 (if it even works)

This sounds sick, I mean in a sick way. It's like a metal revelation..
I mean, it's juicy af
Mesa Boogie Mark V and the VX100, I think this will be an amazing combination
It might be a good idea to add what tubes are in each head for reference. Thanks!
Love your intro man

5150. Triple Rec. It’s the dream team baby.
How do you get pushed clean sounds? It sounds so amazing but I’m pretty new to all of this so I have no idea how to achieve it.
I’m really curious to hear 3 maybe 4 amps together. Each with its own special flavor. Like the SLO with cranked lows and something else with mids etc.
Is it possible to a budget version of this? Like a Peavey Piranha and an Orange Lunch Box head?
VHT pitbull and Engl savage for blend of dry and wet gain types.
