I finally got my Gen 4 stand-alone harness done. We'll until I install it. I have to finish my heads and then I can get the engine in. Hopefully I can get my swap done by early 2025. Still have quite a bit of stuff to by.
You captioned in the video that a 5.3 with ls9 gaskets..... Why would you use gaskets with a 4.100 bore on an engine with a 3.780 bore? That's an absolutely terrible idea and I'm shocked it actually sealed. That will dramatically lower compression on top of not sealing right in most cases. The factory MLS gasket for the 5.3 is a much better option.
It was what they tried and it worked. It went on to be the fastest stock block ls car in the world for years. So it didn't work that bad and wasn't that terrible if it held 50+ psi with standard size arp head studs. Plenty of guys making well over 1,000whp on the 5.3s run ls9 gaskets. Let me know where the 5.3 with the oem 5.3 gasket is running 4.2s in the 1/8 without having a gasket issue all season.
