Legally, I won’t be able to keep giving you chances. You’re a menace to society because you keep driving without a license. You’ve given me no choice but now you have to be tested every week.“
Me it sounds like he only really acts when he is compelled to buy state law. In other words, his discretion is always for more and more leniency until the defendants cross online that he can’t do anything about or he’ll be breaking the law.
He sounds scary until you objectively review his words. I often ask myself, “Why did he give two extra chances in the first place?” If the guy was such a menace before, why did the judge let him out?
Again, this judge is ALL bark and no bite. He tries to sound scary, but I remember a time a small defendant got up behind him and he was absolutely terrified. I’m sure I would have been too, but I wouldn’t try to mask my terror by giving people signature bonds. I think this judge is a MENACE and a MAJOR problem in the judiciary.

I hear you - I live in Minnesota as well.
I found out years ago that Minnesota is a "Duty to Retreat" state. Which basically means you're not allowed to defend yourself if you can leave/escape a situation.
Many years ago my husband and I were renting a house.
One night at 3 a.m. I was sitting at the kitchen table 'cause I couldn't sleep. Next thing I know the landlord's drunk girlfriend walks in -beer in hand- starts talking crap and makes her way down the hall to our bedroom.
I yell for my husband while on the phone with 911. My husband comes flying down the hallway, puts the woman in a basket hold and throws her off the porch.
About 45 minutes later, I'm on the phone with 911 asking where the police are. They were next door - the landlord called 911 and said that my husband assaulted his girlfriend.
The cop then comes over and tries arresting my husband and me for assault.
After we explained what had happened we weren't arrested but given a verbal warning. We should have left and then called 911.
Our 2nd Amendment doesn't apply in our town nor county.
