Peniel is a smart "air head". He speaks with a very casual tone but his insights is so right on. Just the comment about the Asian parents bragging rights is funny but so spot on.

There’s specific people like that. People who undervalues their own intelligence to live out a certain lifestyle that they desire
@@AZ-ob7yi I think understate is a better word than undervalue. He knows he is smart but he feels he doesn't need to show it because of his lifestyle image. It's kind of like skater boys here in the US they talk a certain way which makes them seem unintelligent like "newb, rad, stoked, etc." but they are probably deeper than that.

I looove this conversations, because things you guys talk about don't affect only certain group of people. All parents love their bragging rights and all kids want to get to that point in life where their parents don't have to work anymore, It's just natural.

My parents are just like Ashley's! Gawd, I am so thankful for them everyday, and what she said is true. It is a natural pressure, especially for the oldest child, and a single one at that, to make sure that your parents are okay and they are in good health and living their life comfortably.
Ashley is so lucky to have a mom like that... MY mom is constantly reminding me I'm not married yet and when I will and start a family. Like I'm ready and she knows it but my boyfriend of 5 YEARS still "isn't ready". He himself doesn't know why he "isn't ready".
I'm really glad these kind of episodes exist, knowing that the struggles of artists are practically universal

i think eric did the right choice from being silent office worker to famous singer. He is not supposed to be someone who have to do office work silently for all his year. He is born with to be known popular and respected by other people. No korean american person can beat his great personality and popularity. He is popular for being himself. 🥰🥰🥰

damn how much i can relate to hahahaha i'm a bachelor in English Literature, but currently i'm working as a craft artist. i used to work as a freelance translator for about 3-4 years before i decided to become a full-time independent craft artist. until this day, my mom still proudly tell people (i'm from a very small town where you can still see monkeys or wild pigs crossing the road in broad daylight--the bragging rights hahaha) that i'm working as a translator and a writer even though i have changed job completely XDXD
