First off best wishes and hope you have a speedy recovery DAVE GROHL!! 2nd I want to thank everyone who took the time to video all of these awesome moments and songs!!! GROHL is a true rock GOD!!! Truth is Dave isn't all strung out on drugs ever so it seems to me it made it a no brainer to come back and finish the show. Most rockers are strung out and can barely even do there own show in the first place. I can remember going to shows from other rock bands and they sucked from being so fucked up… DAVE GROHL IS MY HERO!!!
Meggie C If you have followed Dave's career he has talked about personal demons many times and about losing Kurt. He also tells about Taylor od'ing on tour. I think it was in the UK. Those two things affected him, but he also knows now how gifted he really is. He has branched out. He has done a lot of research on music history. He is like most musicians a fan of all music. He has kids now. I guess it is funny because he is pretty much the anti punk that he started his career as. He grew up. lol
Went to see a band a few years ago and was so disappointed. The singer had a COLD and moaned constantly about it during the concert. We sang half the songs so was a complete waste of money. They ought to watch that! Dave Grohl breaks his leg and carries on the concert! Even people who aren't fans couldn't believe he would do that so fans weren't disappointed and he gained a few fans of his own (even if they weren't fans of the music). :)
The thing is, if you are a singer and have a cold (or something else going on with your throat or lungs) and choice to sing anyways; you can easily destroy your voice for good or at least cause serious damage to your throat. It may sound weak as fuck to cancel a show because of a cold but it is very serious stuff for a singer and is not to be messed with. Having a broken leg doesn't really have an impact on the singing, however i still think Dave is a real trooper for doing this anyway, don't get me wrong on that..
Jonka Olofsson The annoying thing was, he complained all the way through the show that he was unwell, and it wasn't an excuse (if you like) he was just going "Oh, I aren't well" every 5 minutes (well every 10 minutes) - I aren't sure what he wanted. Sympathy maybe? If he'd been that unwell, he should have cancelled the show instead of making people listen to a sub-standard one. I would have preferred that tbh. Waste of money. Sorry sounds like I'm having a go at you (just an explanation). :) :D
I don't think I have ever seen a musician with more dedication to his fans than Dave Grohl. That is old fashioned rock and roll spirit.
That is why he is the coolest rocker on the planet!
Thank you for posting . Restores my faith in Rock an roll
