- Hello friends. Today we are frying delicious sea fish. First, we marinate it in an interesting marinade, and then fry it in lean batter.
You can fry anything in this batter (fish, seafood, cabbage, even an apple) - and a variety of lean, hearty dishes are on your table. I use this batter recipe not only on fasting days, but throughout the year.
Today I have two good sea fish called haddock.
I have already cleaned the fish, washed it and removed the black film from the abdomen so that the fish does not taste bitter.
Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces.
Now you need to marinate the fish to make it tasty.
We put the fish in a bowl and add here a tablespoon of ketchup and teriyaki sauce. Also salt and pepper immediately. I do not add other spices, so as not to clog the taste of the fish with them. Mix the fish well so that each piece is covered with marinade. We leave the fish to marinate for at least half an hour, but an hour is better.
And now we make batter.
Pour highly carbonated mineral water into the bowl. In order for the batter to turn out correctly, it is necessary to use strongly (!) Carbonated mineral water.
Add salt, pepper and spices. As spices, I use a little bit of dried garlic and sweet paprika.
Sweet paprika will give the batter not only taste, but also a beautiful color. You can add spices that you like here, but do not get carried away too much.
Now add flour. I use a mixture of regular flour and wholemeal flour.
The batter should turn out like dough for liquid pancakes.
We have to fry the fish. We dip each piece of fish in batter and put it in a pan with a sufficient amount of well-heated vegetable oil. After a few minutes, flip the pieces of fish to the other side. In total, fry the fish for 8-10 minutes, turning the pieces of fish several times from one side to the other.
Put the finished fish on a plate lined with paper towels.
On the days of fasting in such a batter, you can fry fish, seafood, vegetables. And if you add other spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves), then you can also fry fruits in this batter.
RECIPE:
Fish ( haddock, pollock, hake) - 1.0 kg
MARINADE:
Teriyaki sauce - 1 tablespoon
Ketchup - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon without top
A mixture of peppers - 0.5 tsp
BATTER:
Plain flour - 3 tbsp
Whole grain flour - 3 tbsp
Mineral water (with gas) - 200 g
Salt - 0.5 tsp
Ground black pepper to taste
Sweet paprika - 1 teaspoon
Dried garlic - 0.5 teaspoon

Чеснока совсем немного и это сушеный чеснок
