1993-94 Southwest Indian Ocean Cyclone Season Animation V2

The 1993-94 Southwest Indian Ocean Cyclone Season was quite an active season, with all storms being named, 10 of which became hurricane-equivalent cyclones, and 8 becoming major cyclones. The season featured Cyclone Geralda, an intense Category 5 cyclone that devastated Madagascar, causing greater than $10 million in damages, and 231 deaths.

Did Litanne strike an unpopulated area of Madagascar? Odd that it was arguably more intense than Geralda at landfall but did not cause deaths or significant damage.
