Hi Eva, my husband is Polish American, his both side grandparents were born in Polish. His father born in US but his mother born in Poland and her family moved to US when she was 4. We don’t know my husband’s mother ever gave up her a Polish citizenship. Do you think we he eligible for Polish citizenship? Thank you
I think that your husband should get the citizenship first, then you could get the citizenship because, if I read the legislation good, if you are married to a Polish citizen, you can apply for citizenship. If you apply and everything is cool, then in the time of 2-3 months, the Polish embassy in DC should give you Polish citizenship.
