He plays synths in this show. Do checkout his interview with @redjackson, it is so great! I saw Rory in this tour and thought he was absolutely amazing!
What was the purpose of chistofer in the bad actualy ? What did he do? Because in dangerous tour he wasnt there and the music didnt sound any different
Late response, but Christopher Currell ran the Synclavier, which is the music workstation which he used on the BAD album, and it was most notably used on the tracks Dirty Diana, Bad, Speed Demon and Smooth Criminal, which were all actually rehearsed by the band but Speed Demon was obviously left out. Since Michael wanted the songs to sound like the album versions, he brought Christopher on to use the Synclavier on tour by either using the keyboard controller or a guitar-like MIDI controller called the Synth Axe, which you can see him using in this video. In fact, Christopher was the one that Michael would go to if he had any suggestions for the band. It's been said that atleast 30-50% of the stuff you hear during the show was Christopher and the Synclavier. As for the Dangerous World Tour, alot of it is really anyone's guess. Chris himself said he left because he wanted to pursue other projects. But probably why the music almost sounds the exact same is that they had a lot more equipment and obviously equipment can improve over time, so what Christopher was playing could've been handled by either Greg Phillinganes or Brad Buxer depending on the song.
@@fsr4773 There is a couple of articles / interviews that Chris did regarding his time with Michael. You can read Brice Najar’s interview with him, or a more informative reading is available titled “Synclavier, Music and Michael Jackson” which Chris himself published online.

Sad that i was born 20 years late to experience the 80s :(. Outfits on point, Music on point, chemistry on point. Man.

What song is Greg playing?
13:00-13:20 not the drummer impersonating Stevie Wonder’s head wobble and playing intro of “Superstition” by Stevie 🤣
