What a wonderful setup you have! Its so nice that your hubby can customize your furniture to your needs, and that he shares a craft with you. I don't know how you have the time to do all the things you showed us, but I love them all. No apologies needed for filming. A suggestion is to try a selfie stand for some of it , maybe?? Regardless, well done.
Not paying attention and I thought it was a quilting store review! LOL You have certainly made my day! I THOUGHT I was a fabric hoarder! I would love to know more about Project Life??? Anyway, you go girl! I have a dog bed under my sewing table.
Love your beautiful room. I love how organized you are. Hubby is so talented. I have taken over our living room, so totally agree with you. It's your house, use it how you like. Doggos are adorable. I've got 2 rescues. They are my constant companions and they have a custom bed right under the big table in my craft room. Your video was perfect. You do you!
A great cutting table and fabric set up. But oh my gosh! Give away some of that fabric you will never use!!!! Think of how excited a women would be who can’t afford it to find some quilting fabric in a good will store etc. This is such excess . I put several fat quarters with a ribbon around it and take a big box to a Good Will. What a great find for someone. 😊
Many years ago there was an elderly dress maker (Lebanese Australian) in my hometown who worked on a treadle sewing machine at the back of her small shop. No fancy and spacious storage shelves and cutting tables for her, but the sewing she churned out was absolutely beautiful and of such high quality.
I love your room! And I love your attitude about guests, your house etc. We turned our dining room into my husbands man cave and we are getting ready to re-do our living room so he can set up his treadmill, bike trainer and stationary bike. He is the only one that uses the living room! Thats an extension of his man cave! You go girl. Love your fabric collection too!
Beautiful table love the glass top ❤ for a sewer it’s like a drug to buy all types size of fabric I’m the same way I love shopping for anything craft making. And I also don’t care I use my living room as craft room… but I need to get more organized.
Wow!!! Iam so inspired to redo my sewing room. You have so much fabric. Thank you for the tour. I now feel like I can buy more fabric just because. Time to enjoy this amazing craft without crazy guilt. Amazing.
I love it. I love that you and your husband think it’s your house and do or place things where you want. That’s what my hubby and I think as well. Love your big table with glass top and see all your beautiful fabric. Good job! I will follow you
I love the see through top. I sort my fabrics the same way-Lori Holt on the left cabinet, the rest to the right and below. I stopped buying fabric in 2024 but I did choose half yard bundle of Starberry by Corey Yoder for Christmas. So beautiful! I just don’t watch Fat Quarter Shop’s fabric preview videos. I survived it! You can too! I like your set up a lot, and am envious that you’ve gotten so many scrapbooks done! New subscriber!
What a great video, so many tips! You are so organized.❤ I have 2 French bulldogs, & they too are my whole world. I too have the raised beds for them, it’s so great for their joints. Little chunky monkeys. You just came up in my feed, so glad to be a part of your channel now. Please don’t apologize for anything, your video was amazing.👍🏻
What a FABULOUS super organized space!!!!❤❤❤❤ I love love love how you have it set up to serve your needs; and yes, it's your house so who cares what anyone thinks!😊
I have a funky set-up for sewing, too. I can go in the office to cut fabric on the large draughting table I have in there, but for most sewing, I have everything else in my kitchen. I plan on eventually making a cutting/sewing table that I can put up in the kitchen, or maybe in my living room, I am not sure yet. I have a spot in my kitchen where I put up my ironing board when I am not using it. The ironing board is going to stay in the kitchen because I need to keep my iron in there.
I have one side of our old formal dining room for my sewing room, it's what we have, so we make it work. I love your space, the table is fabulous! I spied a Scrumptious jelly roll in there and now I'm a little bit jealous - I've been looking for one for years. not like I need more fabric, but that's the one that got away! I wish we had those Brightroom bins in Australia, but our Target doesn't stock them.
Thanks for your video. I have pinched your ruler rail idea. Its brilliant - I have been looking for something that would work in my workroom for months - this is it!
Love your upcycling of your doors. My old patio doors became a hot bed cover! I wasn't sewing at the time. My sewing room is an amalgamation of leftover thrift store furniture from home staging when I was renovating. Such a collection for fabrics, beautifully visible. I love my Rowenta steam generating iron. The Laura Star is too expensive for my tastes. I baste by quilts with fusible webbing strips on my design wall. The steam iron does a great job of both ironing the quilt and the batting (I do this first pinned using double pronged pins), and then I fuse half and half. No shifting, and the quilt is always perfectly basted for quilting.
OMG!!! What a fantastic set up you have. I am in the market for an adjustable table myself. Currently using a portable kitchen island as the height is the perfect size for my 5.2” self 😊. I am considering coming out of the third bedroom( almost empty nester) and I have both a family room and a living room. So I’m moving the sofas and whatnot to the living room we hardly ever used and I am going to take Over the family room. You have shown fantastic alternate ideas. Your husband is an absolute genius with repurposing window! I have seen the beens you use before but had 4 bookshelves with the typical coming book boards on them. I’m wondering if the bins would better more functional space usage. I also have a TON of fabric I’ll not use in my life. But I love selecting from my stash and making whatever quilt it table Top or whatever I want. Thank you for sharing you unique set up. You have given me Much to consider!!
Your attitude about your houseis exactly how my daughter and i talk…no guest room for me, i use every room…I have two rooms that work as play rooms for my grandkids…my son is set up for guests…he and his wife are wired differently…😂…we say the same thing, we pay the mortgage. We have whatever holidays we can at parks, community areas..,,no one has to clean or prepare….we either bring our beverages, my grandson can’t eat most foods…so we do not have food at our celebrations….its a simpler way to gather!
Love your organizing solutions. I too have a glass window from half of a sliding glass door sitting on the top of an old kitchen table. Before I put it down I used a sharpie and drew lines across every 4” right on the table but since it is rubbing off now after many years I plan on taping a bit of pattern paper down first, drawing lines, then placing the glass on that. I have half of that surface covered with a cutting mat and can use the rest of the glass top for crafting, or even moving the cutting mat off and using the glass top for my grands to do their art projects. The other half of that sliding door is on the bottom half of a wall on my chicken coop so when weather or predator issues dictates they stay indoors they have a picture window.
Your husband is very gifted to build the glass top table and other items for your sewing space. Our two cats come in for visits in my sewing room and so it was comforting to see you have your dogs be part of your journey. You have a wonderful way of organzing your sewing items. Thank you very much for sharing.
Our master bedroom is my craft room. Our king sized bed is in a side room off the bedroom called a retreat. Think mini family room. I need more space and it’s 14x17. Hubby said to takeover dining and living room. Can’t because of family heirlooms…..but he’s okay with what I do.
Thanks for sharing. Love the organization of your quilting supplies. My dog used to sit by me as I restitched his squeaker back in his toy again and again.
OMGHow amazing!!!! So pretty to look at. Id love to have such beautiful fabrics to create whatever i want, but i really love the organization too. Just walking in my sewing room inspires me. i can only imagine you in yours. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thank you Mandy for this tour…how fun! Your filming was fine! I love your sewing room, so beautifully organized. I love organization! How lucky you are to be married to a talented carpenter, your cutting table is so nice. I get a real kick out of your videos…you have a great personality. P.S. I would come to your house if I lived closer…I’m in San Diego area. 😂
OMG! I have all of the bins that you have. However, I am currently using only the ones that are from Target for fabric. The others are in the kitchen and bathrooms for various supplies. I was really bummed out when I bought the ones from Target because I only bought six, and when I went back for more they were completely out. I love this fabric "Island". Soon, I will have a dedicated craft room and I will be stealing this idea. Are you not afraid that the glass will break? Can you use it for cutting fabrics on a mat? Oh, what pretty boys you have!!
She mentioned the glass is from sliding glass doors they had so it is tempered glass. It appears she has her cutting mat set up on one corner to the table top. 👍🏻
I’m reorganizing now so you have helped me, only my space is smaller so I struggle. Have to find your bins. I want to see everything so yours being clear are great!
Great glass table, genius. What do you do with all those quilts? Your stash is great to look at, yet it’s a shame it’s being collected but not used. Wish you happy sewing
My husband measured the top. He cut down wood to fit. I covered it with batting and added Lori Holt fabric over it :) We did not adhere the wood down but it doesn't move :)
Hi there! Love your sewing studio! ❣️❣️ Could you tell me where you got that darling office supplies organizer you have on your cutting table? Thank you sooo much!

I love Lori Holtz too.
Do you have any problems with the husky tables vibrating when you are sewing
