@@SaHaRaSquad Thats because most people who use inpainting just don't do the final touchups. Most inpainting use cases I learned how to do with actual tools in my beginner photoshop class. I took an image and made a whole 2.5D parallax animation out of it, repainting details to the level that you'd never notice, all as a complete amateur to digital painting. Now people can lazily do roughly the same thing to a worse degree in seconds, but have the gall to acuse actual artists like this one.
@@eidelrose Honestly the parallax sounds like it's more effort to create from a full pic than to just. Make two layers and parallax scroll them at different speeds-- I learned to do that when I was messing around with RPG Maker and Game Maker. Takes something that can render both images but with separate layers you can easily switch both the parallax's speed AND even do cool skewing tilts. (but parallaxes are cool either way)
As an artist with loads of experience. I can tell usually what Ai Art is.. the BIG one is illogical errors. Stuff like hair bleeding into a belt or other errors a human artist would never ever do... What it is not, is someone getting good fast or having a certain style. That never indicates proof of ai.
Also, shadows. If it has shadows you can BET the AI art version is either going to make a shadow that's inconsistent in style (switching from super-accurate to just this messy blur) or literally turn into either an ink spill or a hole.
“Your style isn’t the same as it was in 2022!!! It was lower quality back then!!!” **Yeah, as if that’s how improving works, it’s almost like people change and go through a lot in a years worth of time**
Absolutely insane. Do you know why some people's art look like AI? BECAUSE AI 'ART' IS STOLEN ART. Art that REAL people draw that is turned into boring, soulless pieces of images that can't even compare to real art.
Literally "AI artstyle" is basically just the bunch (at least hundreds) of images approximated together of course it's going to look like the images put into it, it doesn't know for shit about artstyles or any techniques.
don't be scared. those who accuse real artists of using ai are the new trolls nothing else. igore and block them. And no there is no such thing as a bad artist. I think you wanted to say beginner artist ✨
Bro would explode to see how much my art changes and improves in just a year. I don’t want to brag or anything, but I was one of the top traditional artists in my school, as a freshman, in highschool! But someone a few grades below me once I got to my senior year was a prodigy in digital art (they luckily got access to devices capable of such medium a lot earlier then me, I rlly wish I was able to practice my digital art much earlier lol but I still don’t think I’d hit their level if I had gotten access in freshman year) Depending on the person and medium, someone’s art can improve DRASTICALLY in very short amounts of time. That’s what I would almost say is a… natural talent! For me it was creating art with just a black pencil, but it has taking me several years to try to understand color and how to use color correctly, I still struggle with it heavily.
I remember when the art community decided that a big tell for AI art was badly shaped hands. You know, the one aspect of human anatomy that is notoriously difficult to do even for humans?
Nah it’d be different, ai art tend to look detailed and clean while the hand anatomy is crap, while artists that are bad at hands are noticeable since they at least know we only have 5fingers
I dunno about you but even the shittiest yaoi hands I've seen in my life AND the most "baby's first MS Paint" hands tend to understand the concept that wrists connect to people's arms even when they're holding hands, and that humans don't usually have three hands with seven fingers on one, two thumbs on the other, or have fingers connected to the wrist without a palm between. It's a VERY bizarre and specific kind of badly shaped hands that AI produces, and one I haven't seen apart from that one time in my art where I forgot to color code my sketch lines and accidentally mistook a guide line for the sketch lineart and couldn't undo because I was drawing in MSPaint.
ngl by this point, i think its realistic to think most new artist jobs are basically dead, unless they already have a name, trying to market in social media is near impossible
It wouldn't be if they websites didn't openly steal it now. There are protection programs being made. But it's going to take some famous person or government officials to realize that this shit is so stupid you can black mail people with fake photos. Heck people's real life selves are being used for pr0n cause of it.
Just record yourself drawing the piece from start to finish in real life. Set your camera above your tablet/whatever medium then film everything. Screen-recording has already been tainted by AI.

as an artist, i barely saw the sketch in the thumbnail and read the commentary, and i already spotted a stupid argument. bros an ai bro mascurading as an artist, because who in their right mind would call a messy scetch ai?? if anything ai cant replicate mess.. it's perfect. that's what makes it soulless. actually, my artstyle is really really sketchy because the whole point of it is to be chaotic, it's also really hard for ai to pick up on (i developed it years ago, but the ai not understanding it was a cool plus) so by my experience only, it's still a really weird claim??
The ironic thing abt him saying that messy sketches mean ai is that typically ai avoids being messy, it tries to be as neat and smooth as possible, which is why if you generate an image using ai the skin always looks smooth and shiny and stuff, it tries to look as neat as possible
Possibly a bit conspiracy theory logic, but i wonder if that profile was tryinf to bait Alice into posting a speedpaint video/more WIP images to feed into a generator bc they liked her style. Accusing someone so they have to bring up proof would be a pretty effective way of getting them to post that kind of thing, and going by their account avatar they're not as anti ai as they claim so i wouldnt be shocked to learn this was a new troll technique ai bros are using
Bruh, I'm Vietnamese and I've never seen AI make áo dài (traditional vietnamese clothes) art EVER and might not generate anything resembling áo dài. Ai trains on artstyles like this and losers who have no idea about art would accuse actual artists of using AI when in reality, it's the AI that is stealing these artists work.
I caught my friend using ai for a commission I asked of them, so I'm already pissy about the whole ai art thing, but seeing actual artists who put time and effort into their drawings is just sad. Not every piece online is ai, but people don't understand that. I'm going to go bash my head on the wall and scream "WHY?!" now.

This reminds me of what happened on reddit a few years ago where a reddit mod accused an artist on using ai art, despite the artist having and showing all the proof in the world over it. This hurts every fiber of my artistic being
I have research AI and what its’s been up to, it most certainly can take an already made sketch and even make up progression, but considering this artist has been drawing for years, i feel as the person calling them out should have done their research before trying to start a witch hunt , since these types of allegations can ruin and artist reputation. Sometimes if your unsure its better just not to say something. I was even skeptical cuz although i don’t really sketch like that or even go straight to render, i have to realize we are not all the same.
Call me weird, but the making up progress aspect sounds intriguing - in terms of taking a work you made, making up "in progress" versions of varying degrees and using them as springboards for new works. IDK if that makes sense... sounded better in my head.
Omg even as beginner artist sketches are really important to get somewhat of good idea on what you want your art to look like and foundations of final design no ai would ever make such great art with no mistakes and actual effort
Twitter users are not the brightest bulbs in the shed. Also the AI Art generators weren’t good enough to use until last year, pretty sure. But. Then again, Stable Diffusion seems to have been around for a while.
I swear they will end up at a level that they will call all art AI, regardless the medium or if the artist is willing to do it in front of them on paper, and when I say all art I mean all forms of art from drawing to martial arts
I don't hate ai art nearly as much as i hate people who legit can't tell the difference between real art and ai Seriously guys, it's not that hard, ai isn't even that advanced.
I've been worried about this since ai started getting popular. People fail to understand that ai art always picks up from real art. Of course there will be similarities. Progress shots should DISPROVE that art is ai, because ai art just gives a finished product immediately.
That sketch is NOT amateurish. It's too complicated for an amateur. My sketches are more ameteurish despite having been drawing digital for almost 4 years, but I also don't see a lot of sketches that look like mine do. Everyone sketches differently. A rudimentary sketch doesn't mean it's AI generated Edit 1 because I expect many more: I think I would be accused of AI if I showed this guy the massive quality differences between my yearly redraws of The Mangle. My art went through a massive shift in early 2022 because I discovered layer blending modes, played with them, and learned how to use them. Your art can seem to suddenly and drastically change because you start using a tool you hadn't before, like a new brush or a layer mode, and it's especially noticable if you change something big like the rendering. Lighting and shadows are literally doing so much heavy lifting that changing the way you do it will create big changes. It's absolutely normal for Alice to have had a shift in her art with some "inconsistencies" in 2022, she was probably going through a big art change and was learning a new tool. Mine would look the same if you looked back at when I discovered the glow brush -> when I discovered glow layers and all layer modes -> when I was comfortable using layer modes and wasn't going over the top with them anymore. It's "inconsistent" because I found a new tool that I liked and I was learning how to apply it. You also see a style shift when I stopped drawing just a circle for heads and defined the lower portion of the head. Edit 2: Clothing folds are a terrible reference for AI spotting. The only reliable way to AI spot is to find mistakes a human wouldn't make. Clothing folds are one of those things that humans would reasonably struggle with, so it's really hard to find any type of clothing fold a person wouldn't make.
Calling it: eventually the TPM module on your PC (or some analogous future tech) will be able to do a crypto-locked recording of your screen and peripherals to prove your process, it will be automatic and transparent after enabling it and hopefully save locally only. When you need to show your skills for an interview or a commissioner, you pull out some footage and run the authentication sequence to send it to them. AI bros don't realize this, but they are vastly accelerating the death of open computing and the open web. Right now the scale has been greatly on the side of computational freedom, but they're tipping it very hard, seemingly without understanding why. When 99% of social media content is perfectly human-like bots that are actively trying everything from scamming art to fomenting civil war, people will want that government ID.

Those anti ai people are starting to being in the wrong for accusing small artists of selling ai art and harassing people for even using it for fun or venting. I am a real artist who is neutral in ai and it doesnt affect my art or i use for reference
Another thing I noticed that people are doing is that they are uploading real art to image websites like Pinterest, calling them AI, then either encouraging people to steal it/the character or are using it as an excuse to steal it/the character themselves.

@@assssaaasasass "I don't have talent" is such a pathetic excuse these days. Lets be real, those kinds of people don't lack the talent, they just don't want to put in the time and necessary effort. I don't see talent as natural skill anymore, its the culmination of experience and hardwork.
“it looks like ai”
no. ai generative content looks like art. not the other way around. the art is the original, always.
As an artist who is very fed up with legit artists being accused of AI, I appreciate the fiery anger in this video. Thanks for sharing!
im an artist im clearly not at the same level or draw a style that the ai usually wants to steal lol but its infuriating to see people come up to someone else who would have so many years of experience and practice and basically say “fake, you didn’t make it” aaaa
As a fellow artist I'm infuriated by AI art in general they just seem like an insult to our work, and is even more incredibly insulting when a real drawing is being called AI by some random dumbass
Lol i took Alice's Colosso class a long time ago... SHE DOES A FULL PIECE FROM BEGINNING TO END IN THE COURSE, no jump cuts, all in real time.
Her tutorials on Instagram are so easy to follow too!!
I’ve been seeing so many AI art accusations being thrown around lately, even towards artists that post full speed paints on public accounts. People have even started looking at anything remotely blurred or ANY inconsistency in a digital art piece and thrown accusations of AI at the artist for it. It’s so dumb.
Omfg my art style is very gestural and messy, I use filters for effects and I just add whatever. My art would definitely be targeted and have tomatoes thrown at it for people with no cells in their brain thinking it's ai
It's even worse that I've just found the confidence to do commissions too. Oh why is this problem just happening now
Too early for any logical sense, just fear of "THIS MAKES ART AI"
Too late to not have to worry about ai at all
"The sketch is messy, this artist isn't a real artist"
"The building is just concrete pillars covered in scaffolding. The construction team sucks"
ai soyjacks and tech soyjacks are a fucking plague, on top of social media its a match made in hell
I'll be honest, I just fucking can't even fathom being involved in modern art communities. I'm older, too old to sit in discords or get involved in Tik Tok arguments, and it's so sad to see people rip each other apart over one of the most beautiful skills we have to share with the world as humans. What's the end goal? Yet another hobby/industry/circle poisoned for anyone who wants to be there?
I totally agree
Yeah and I've finally gotten confident enough in my art to start to sell it too. I don't need this bs
@@KopyErr To offset the vibes, I wish you best of luck in your journey, you're giving back to the world in a beautiful and meaningful way. Don't let any jealous person make you feel otherwise
I have read many claims about AI inpainting to only modify parts of an image. But so far I haven't seen an example where inpaint doesn't lead to visible seams. If that person was such a huge AI expert and would be right they'd easily be able to highlight artifacts from generation.
@@river559I actually wanna see this that sounds fucking cool
It would be cool if an artist mimicked the AI just to screw with people like this.
This could be a fun Idea
“Your style isn’t the same as it was in 2022!!! It was lower quality back then!!!”
**Yeah, as if that’s how improving works, it’s almost like people change and go through a lot in a years worth of time**
They are in the mindset that unless the ai model improves an artist can never improve
Absolutely insane. Do you know why some people's art look like AI? BECAUSE AI 'ART' IS STOLEN ART. Art that REAL people draw that is turned into boring, soulless pieces of images that can't even compare to real art.
Literally
"AI artstyle" is basically just the bunch (at least hundreds) of images approximated together
of course it's going to look like the images put into it, it doesn't know for shit about artstyles or any techniques.
Now i'm scared of being a bad artist and getting called for using AI
don't be scared. those who accuse real artists of using ai are the new trolls nothing else. igore and block them.
And no there is no such thing as a bad artist. I think you wanted to say beginner artist ✨
Off topic but I love your pfp Diego is awesome :3
Then use MS Paint! AI can’t replicate that!
@@Crudely-Drawn-Cupcakeig it can if there will be more images imported
but the high quality ms paint images amount is so measly low it can't.
usually when i have to prove that i drew something, i show screenshots of the layers, speedpaints can work too
Moral of the story: keep away from twitter like it's a plague victim coughing up blood and throwing up everywhere
ai bro saw an anime styled drawing and went "I've connected the dots"
Bro would explode to see how much my art changes and improves in just a year. I don’t want to brag or anything, but I was one of the top traditional artists in my school, as a freshman, in highschool! But someone a few grades below me once I got to my senior year was a prodigy in digital art (they luckily got access to devices capable of such medium a lot earlier then me, I rlly wish I was able to practice my digital art much earlier lol but I still don’t think I’d hit their level if I had gotten access in freshman year)
Depending on the person and medium, someone’s art can improve DRASTICALLY in very short amounts of time.
It's a VERY bizarre and specific kind of badly shaped hands that AI produces, and one I haven't seen apart from that one time in my art where I forgot to color code my sketch lines and accidentally mistook a guide line for the sketch lineart and couldn't undo because I was drawing in MSPaint.
pro on ai art for years? how many? one and a half?
ngl by this point, i think its realistic to think most new artist jobs are basically dead, unless they already have a name, trying to market in social media is near impossible
@Smug-Smirk you do realize it's not because it just copies what already exists right? Also I didn't realize someone charging something rational for working on something for 3 to 12 hours wasn't fair. Especially in something that took them years to perfect....
@@Smug-Smirk Art is a luxury. Learn it yourself if you’re so salty💀 Oh wait, you’re just another lazy AI bro. Keep cooking that slop tho, stay on that “sigma grindset” “owning” them “L artists” or whatever
@@Smug-Smirk you are completely delusional and blatantly jealous as well as lazy... have a nice day.
"Years of experience detecting ai art" ai "art" only got concerning like last year thats like a 7 year old saying "years of experience of not shitting my pants"
>pro AI art detector
Okay dude
I ignore 'AI air detectors' without legit profile. They looked like grifters to me, which puts them at the same level as AI bros.
Oh naw dawg we cant even have ugly sketches anymore we get accused of ai 💀
as an artist, i barely saw the sketch in the thumbnail and read the commentary, and i already spotted a stupid argument. bros an ai bro mascurading as an artist, because who in their right mind would call a messy scetch ai?? if anything ai cant replicate mess.. it's perfect. that's what makes it soulless.
actually, my artstyle is really really sketchy because the whole point of it is to be chaotic, it's also really hard for ai to pick up on (i developed it years ago, but the ai not understanding it was a cool plus) so by my experience only, it's still a really weird claim??
The AI “detector” is definitely a AI bro trying to cause drama and problems.
I'm going to go bash my head on the wall and scream "WHY?!" now.
this is SO incredibly infuriating. I've always wanted to post my art online, but now these AI accusations are scaring me.
AI bros were the ones snoozing in art class.
Bro i don't understand why we decided to use AI to deceive others rather than HELP US (like we keep claiming we're trying to achieve)
This AI stuff is getting way too out of hand and its harming others because 'AI bros' thinks they know all
@@Smug-Smirk how bout you help yourself get some bitches instead
"pro ai art detector" didnt even take a glance at the hands
stuff like this happens all the time, first it was tracing/art style theft, now it's ai. some day the art community will move onto something new to complain about.
sincerely, ive been drawing since 2005
i didnt think back in 2020 ai would be making art
Isn’t the whole point of a sketch to be messy and a rough draft? I’m just confused.
This reminds me of what happened on reddit a few years ago where a reddit mod accused an artist on using ai art, despite the artist having and showing all the proof in the world over it. This hurts every fiber of my artistic being
As an artist, I felt attacked by that "amateurish sketch" claim LMFAO
as of now the accoujnt no longer exist lmao
good riddance!
I love your passion. Thanks for speaking up about this.
This is why I stopped posting art LMFAOOOOOOOO
Same. It's not worth it anymore.
Ai art detector is not a job
AI Detector uses AI to detect AI doesn't know what a rough draft is..
Omg even as beginner artist sketches are really important to get somewhat of good idea on what you want your art to look like and foundations of final design no ai would ever make such great art with no mistakes and actual effort
This is like accusing a chef of reheating frozen food because it "looks too perfect"
I feel bad for the artist who are able to draw realism now. Like alot of people have seen ai art too much, they can't tell which real or not.
Twitter users are not the brightest bulbs in the shed. Also the AI Art generators weren’t good enough to use until last year, pretty sure. But. Then again, Stable Diffusion seems to have been around for a while.
Cant believe this bozo is accusing my queen Alice vu of using ai 💀
@@idrlc2123 Like she doesn't have a class on Coloso rn
That's like claiming someone is aimbotting in a FPS game because they killed you 3 times.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm starting to think that AI Image Generators mainly steal from Alice Vu for their anime style...
Honestly the more I see of this specific account the more it screams “troll”.
I swear they will end up at a level that they will call all art AI, regardless the medium or if the artist is willing to do it in front of them on paper, and when I say all art I mean all forms of art from drawing to martial arts
You give me penguinz0 vibes
I don't hate ai art nearly as much as i hate people who legit can't tell the difference between real art and ai
Seriously guys, it's not that hard, ai isn't even that advanced.
I've been worried about this since ai started getting popular. People fail to understand that ai art always picks up from real art. Of course there will be similarities. Progress shots should DISPROVE that art is ai, because ai art just gives a finished product immediately.
That's not really true anymore, ai has been training to do sketches and even timelapses now. Not perfect, of course, but still worrying.
That sketch is NOT amateurish. It's too complicated for an amateur. My sketches are more ameteurish despite having been drawing digital for almost 4 years, but I also don't see a lot of sketches that look like mine do. Everyone sketches differently. A rudimentary sketch doesn't mean it's AI generated
Edit 1 because I expect many more: I think I would be accused of AI if I showed this guy the massive quality differences between my yearly redraws of The Mangle.
Damn, bro is actually pissed.
Being an artist in 2020s is so unnecessarily difficult.
If messy sketches are considered AI now I'm cooked
Gunna have to start recording live drawings now like a speed paint for every drawing at this point.
HELL YEAH BROTHER I've been waiting for someone on YT to pull zero punches and say shit exactly as it is instead of trying to be nice. These clowns harassing real artists don't deserve nice words.
This reminds me of that old copypasta, "this looks like photoshop, I can tell from the pixels and having seen a lot of photoshops in my time"
I remember once I accused a artist on discord of using AI. I feel so bad for that.
cant blame people for thinking its AI at a glance, but at some point they need to realize that AI's style had to have come from somewhere
mfw i just watched an ai interrupted meme and started watching this:
I understand the fear of ai, but this is going too far!
Those anti ai people are starting to being in the wrong for accusing small artists of selling ai art and harassing people for even using it for fun or venting.
I am a real artist who is neutral in ai and it doesnt affect my art or i use for reference
this ai situation is crazy
"Why does that sketch look sketchy? Is it because it's a sketch? No that can't be it, it _must_ be AI!"
Another thing I noticed that people are doing is that they are uploading real art to image websites like Pinterest, calling them AI, then either encouraging people to steal it/the character or are using it as an excuse to steal it/the character themselves.
confusing actual sketchwork and commission "sketches", of course starter sketches look fucked up lol its just idea scratches
Chronic Grass Allergy
reminds me of how this one person accuses me of stealing art cuz,,, i guess theyre mad at something my friend did?? even though its just one person and this didnt really affect much, its still annoying how someone who you'd never met or never will meet will take some sort of issue to your existence enough to make claims while not even providing any evidence LOL

it's always some amateur soursop harassing people
Will you make a video on artists like channel station getting harassed off the internet for drawing 18+ or more suggestive content? Its insane, people are getting actually doxxed because of twitter antis
“The sketch is amateurish” what like how they designate things in different colors and line widths to map out the future rendering and separate different elements of the final piece? It’s supposed to look sketchy it’s literally a sketch but you can literally see the artist’s creative process

the tech has been around for about 4 years.
and it has evolved so fast in the last 2.
