It is kinda cool that karate basically came from this form of kung fu. Which is the proof that a form of martial arts can always evolve into something else.
The influence isnt big. A little bit in NahaTe almost none in ShuriTe. There is much more influence from southern Lohan.
@@Gieszkanne Not the point tho. Origin is the case.
@@GieszkanneI totally agree with you, I train in white crane kung fu and there's little to zero crane in shorin ryu, goju ryu, or uechi ryu karate, infact, when the okinawan,s developed karate, they tended to steer clear of Chinese animal forms....
@@moepanetta9028 I don't know about other styles of karate, but I'm a goju ryu practitioner and I see so many of our movements in this video O_o...
The grandfather of the Karate Do. This movements are very similar to Tensho Kata
tensho was invented in the 1930s so....
This predates Karate, That’s why he said “Grandfather”........
Karate is from the form technic of Crane.
@@Nicholas19846 that's a myth. Karate is closer to fujian lohan Quan then to white crane. Don't believe me? Look up on UA-cam fujian lohan Quan. Karate bubishi even mentions fujian lohan Quan(monk fist)
@@teovu5557 Depends on the style of Karate. A couple of Shuri-Te's most important forms come from Crane. Most Fujian arts are essentially different schools of the same fighting method anyway.
Sifu Sergio brilliantly presents Kung Fu from the diversity you can gather from Wing Chun through china as no other.
Wow, it's like watching Wing Chun. I can definitely see the influence.
Definite. I 1st trained in crane style and it was never so close in.
@@Magne-ficent Depends on the style of Crane boxing.
I was thinking the same thing
I see also a little pieces which maybe led Choyun Miyagi create the kata Tensho...
...and tensho kata from goju karate too!
Amazing! Thank you for sharing.
The old guys in the parks are the ones I like to watch and would want to learn from. They seem better and more practical than the ego driven school sifus
that was impresive one of The best performed forms i have ever seen :D
such a beautiful form. i wish to somehow learn this some day, and develop on it. i watch this repeatedly to try to see the exact movement, the more i learn deeper of wing chun then look back at this i always notice something different.. this time i really noticed a deeper sense of relaxation, the different directions/energies (up down left right forward backward & diagonal) of the hand positions, and definitely see the harmonization of the 7 bows, esp in the wrist, elbow, shoulder and throughout the rest of his structure. i dont know which video i like better, this one? or the one of sifu cliff ip. they are both perfect in eyes. i WISH! there were videos that demonstrated each of these movements step by step. Sifu Sergio, do you know of any good sources i can learn deeper Internal Wing Chun? as far as opening the body of blockages, correct breathings (reverse/normal), im really interested in learning the science of Wing Chun in relation to Qigong/Neigong. any suggestions, your personal advice, would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you in advance Sifu Sergio!
I think that the white crane style is not exactly wing chun.
@@asamiyashin444 as far as im aware, it is the mother system that helped to create Wing Chun. Crane/limbs, Snake/body .. and Emei Qigong (12 Zhuang) i dont know much about the Emei 12 Zhuang but would definitely love to learn it.
Beatiful performance .
You can see ware White Crane Kung Fu is the father of Wing Chun and Southen Praying Mantis and Five Family Style Kung Fu
Very nice, smooth, relaxed, and clean.
Very beautiful!
Really amazing form..
Impresionante la elegancia.
Very nice and deep. Even though Mr Lee didn't show his full fa jing, but the sung and the fullness energy can be seen in thorough in his body from bottom leg to the finger. The involvement in the Dan Tien can be seen also. Very nice.
Hi, Does anybody give me the name of song in background, please?
Very interesting. I do see the hand movement resemblance between Wingchun and White Crane. Thank you SifuSergio for sharing.
Yes dear Elvira, Sift Sergio is a very good instructor. He has the same lineage as Bruce Lee. :)
wingchunexpert yep, same movements and very relax, good to watch it carefully :)
Nice dance!
Very impresive shifu!
the background music is amazing! who's the artist?
That form is badass!
This form contains movements strikingly similar to those in Goju Ryu Karate's tensho kata!
Goju Ryu as well as Wing Chun both have Fujian White crane as an ancestor Chris
ya me i also clicked for ua-cam.com/video/P5iL0kTCbb0/v-deo.html
At the begining of 20 century karate name was "Chinese hand" I think that founder of Shotokan karate Funakoshi changed name to Karate
@@SifuSergioChannel thank you for clarifying this, Sifu Sergio.
Fujian White Crane, Ancestor of both Goju-Ryu-Karate and Ving-Chun-Kuen.
Great form, you can easily see this was an influence for Wing Chun.
Exactly
Very..very...very beautiful!
veo bastantes movimientos similares al kata tensho
This is a crazy good form. It obviously has elements found in many later styles in China and Okinawa. I have never seen anyone do a better form than this master. Is this a form you teach in your system as well? Is it possible to learn this via your schools?
Yes we teach this at the Eternal spring institute in Madeira Portugal and my association
Maybe this is how the crane fighting snake legend came about. It may have been White Crane and Emei 12 Zhuang as the snake.
Exactly Roman that's spot on as my research implies
Yes, I've watched many of your videos and also Hendrick Santo's and it was eye-opening. My point here is that maybe, hypothetically there was an actual fight of two masters, that sparked someone's imagination. But we may never know.
@@SifuSergioChannel Which White Crane style/lineage does Sifu Lee Kong belong to? Sleeping, Feeding, Crying/Whooping, Flying, Shaking, or WuzuQuan?
@@tomcartman9434 it’s the original lineage before the lineage got split into the 5 sub branches
@@SifuSergioChannel Thanks for the quick answer! I thought there are no any original line nowadays, just sub branches. Which one of the sub branches most closely resembles the original?
Omg.. that was sick.. wow.. I can see the direct influence on wing chun
Yes exactly, according to my research the Sap Yee Jeet Lik was mixed with the Siu Tze Chong of Emei to create the ancient Siu Lin Tau which was later split up into the Siu Nim Tau, Chum Kiu and Biu Tze
Which White Crane style/lineage does Sifu Lee Kong belong to?
I believe it is yong chun white crane which is very similar to 5 ancestors style.
Which form in Yong Chun is this?
That was simply GREAT!!!
And I can clearly recognize Southern White Crane SYSTEM (cause it's beyond a style, as it is a SYSTEM out of which several styles have emerged) as the Predominant-Parental-Source of The Wing Chun Concept (which, in turn, has also inspired many distinctly different styles and/or ways of expressing what I will here dub The-Wing-Chun-Ideology.
Once again, thanks Sifu Sergio Iadarola and company.
P.S. - What is this form/kuen called?
The form is called Sap Yee Jeet Lik according to my research it was this form that was mixed with the emei Siu Tze Chong to create the Siu Lin Tau set that later became the 3 famous sets of Siu Nim Tau, Chum Kiu and Biu Tze
@@SifuSergioChannel THANK YOU
Nice. Relaxed, focused, smooth and clean with no flowers. No WC as the structures are not the least bit similar. Seems some only see the hands and then draw erroneous conclusions. Even at that, White Crane's hands cover areas outside the boundaries of WC.
No one says its "Wing Chun" they are only saying they share similar origins, which they do. Karate at the very least, the Naha area systems comes from White Crane but look nothing like White crane. That doesnt mean they are not related.
This looks close to some of what my friend taught me. The challenge for me is that I have to modify what I learn because of my height. I'm 6'10" tall. That's a little more than two meters.
This lineage of White Crane is not Yongchun Village White Crane. I think this is Wuzu Baihe (Five Ancestors White Crane). Can anyone else in the comments help me confirm?
You are mistaken this is the original Fujian White Crane from before the system was split into the 5 sub branches
Experience Wing Chun and Taiji by Sifu Sergio Yongchun White Crane from Yongchun County in Quanzhou, Southern Fujian does not look like this. Even though many of the movements look somewhat similar, the opening of the forms is different, the stance is different, and the movement flow is different. I looked at a video of Sifu Lee Kong doing Samchin and compared that with Master Pan Liteng’s Sanzhan, and the two are completely different. By the way, Master Pan runs the oldest White Crane school in China.
@@jadenng7569 they know eachother and you might need to look into at how much the communist regime destroyed 😉 they oldest Fujian White Crane branch left China with the cultural revolution
@@SifuSergioChannel I will do more research and determine for myself, thanks again for responding.
So this is Fujian and not Yong Chun? Which form is this?
Which form is this?
Tian Shou Yibailing shou
A tonne of wing chun in there!
Exactly
I saw a lot similarities to wingchun kung-fu.
The mother root for Wing Chun and Goju Ryu..
Aloha from Hawaii 😉 🤙
So this is the famous white crane before it got split into 5 branches?
Correct
Wow 🤗
demonstrating would be nice
This is not real broken rythem the main white crane I've seen is in Melbourne Australia akie
Lose the drums !!! Not necessary
