I also like to use the graphs in the scouting report tab. I think it gives a decent idea of a minor league player is developing, stalling, or turning into poop through his advancement.
Yeah, absolutely. The first year draft is one I hope to get to soon as time allows. In the meantime, on my Orioles playlists there are a few draft episodes that may help show how I think through picks.
Thank you for making these videos. All of them have eally helped a lot. I don't know much about sabremetrics, just a passing familiarity from stuff like the movie "Moneyball," but I love the sport of baseball and complicated simulation/strategy games, so dipping my toes into the deep waters of OOTP and these other ways of measuring players has been great.
Glad they've helped! It's a really fun game. There are some pretty good books out there on sabermetrics if you ever wanted to get more familiar with them.
Yo how did you so many crazy prospects? Specifically, I saw in your international complex you had several high potential guys. Do you sign multiple per year or just sign one every year?
For international free agents, I offer the top guys each year the $5m max on the first day they hit the market. I also put a good bit of money into international scouting and my scout sometimes turns up a gem.
Mainly filler guys to fill out rosters. I try not to demote guys that are struggling, and just have them repeat a level instead. I probably have demoted a real prospect here or there, but not often at all.

Yup, good point. The scouting history can give you an idea on a guy's trajectory.
i appreciate your hard work sir. If you keep making these ill keep watching them.
I accept this deal, sir.
Could you break down the drafts in depth? (Rule 5 and first year)

Think the guys in ootp should give you a medal :)
Haha thanks, please be sure to let them know 😎
Thank you so much this is so helpful!

These are great, I spent all of OOTP 21 grinding perfect team. Finally diving into the franchise grind before 22 drops. Thank you for this series
Thanks! Let me know if you havve any questions as you go through it. I'll definitely be posting some videos for 22 as well.

How do you handle demotions once you've done your mass promotions? Is it just under performing or filler guys you move to try to make "full" teams?
