Alex commentating is the best thing that happened to comp climbing since olympics.
Three lessons from this comp:
1. Alex is the best co-commentator
2. Sorato is the closest thing to a Janja-like dominance on the male comp we have seen yet
3. Unparallel is becoming the brand of choice for top athletes

Alex brought up an interesting when talking about coaches having insight and not being able to “verbally through code words” (or even no verbally for that matter) with their pupil.

I was waiting until my GF fell asleep so I could watch this. When I heard Alex’s voice on commentary…she woke up.
The one thing that I took away from this finals, is that Alex Honnold met Taylor Swift. Twice.

He needed 4 limbs where the green tape was. He didn't get his right foot high enough and it missed the grey starting hold.
really enjoyed the commentary as usual but a little surprising to hear them planning to do speed together afterwards. i suppose what they do in their own time is up to them ;)
