  • Countless doctors and health experts including Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. David Perlmutter, Max Lugavere, and Jesse Inchauspe, explain why you should quit eating so much added sugar.

    Dr. Mark Hyman: • HEALTH EXPERT REVEALS ...
    Dr. Perlmutter: • The BITTER TRUTH About...
    FACTS
    A 355 ml can of Coca-Cola has 10 teaspoons of sugar (39 grams), while a Mountain Dew has over 11 (47 grams).
    Refined sugar has no nutritional value, and is empty calories and energy.
    The average American consumes, on average, 15 teaspoons of sugar per day.
    As a rule "good" sugars come in healthy whole foods, while "bad" sugars come in highly refined, processed foods.
    According to the British Journal of Sports Medicine, it was found that sugar has a similar effect on the brain as cocaine. And it’s more addictive than alcohol, nicotine, and heroin combined.
    In a study published in 2014 in JAMA Internal Medicine, over the course of the 15-year study, people who got 17% to 21% of their calories from added sugar had a 38% higher risk of DYING from cardiovascular disease compared with those who consumed 8% of their calories as added sugar.

    I was diagnosed as pre diabetic in April this year. Dr. told me not to worry about it!! I took to UA-cam to understand what I needed to do to help my body. I haven’t touched bread, rice, pasta, potatoes or sweet things since. I feel great and have dropped 2’stone in 4.5 months and it was easy. Takes some thinking about at times but the benefits have been amazing.

    Sugar is also added to bread and soup -- yeeup, soup. Look at the label. I think we already hit the 1 in 2 obesity in some states? If you're really liking gourmet coffee shops you may be getting a LOT more than 15 teaspoons of sugar a day. Gourmet coffee is for many -- just an "adult milkshake." For me, when I indulge in sugary stuff, I get allergies. Sneeze and sneeze and runny nose. Maybe for you, your immune system gets damaged in some other way. Thank God that when I taper off sugar, these symptoms disappear. I wish I could tell you staying off sugar is easy, but it isn't. I relapse and have ice cream for a couple weeks and allergies return and arthritis too -- some other issues too. It's like I don't learn? Thanks for this great reminder video. Stay strong all!

    Haven't had any sugar, flour or alcohol since the beginning of June (2023). I can tell you how much my health has improved: I've lost 40 pounds in three months, my blood sugar is normal for the first time in twenty years, I sleep well, my periods are finally regular, walking isn't painful or tiresome at all, I can exercise without losing my breath immediately, I don't get wild mood swings, I don't get bad cravings, I can withstand hunger for most of the day, now I can eat just once or twice per day: salads, savory foods and fruits taste so much better! I seemed to skip my seasonal allergies this year, I can wake up in the morning without troubles, I look better/fitter and am so proud of myself! NEVER going back! My life is more worthy than cake and cookies! 🧁😃🍪

      I also wake up better- like I used to in my 20s. When I go to bed on time, I wake up just before the alarm goes off. I didn't think that would happen being sugar free and using only olive oil or sometimes sunflower.

      @JV-528 The hardest part about no sugar or sugar substitutes is that they are in just about everything. My selection of food is now remarkably small, which makes having a varied diet difficult. However, the habit of grabbing a box of cookies or pastries has been quite a habit. It's like going into the bathroom during a power outage- I always flip the switch even though I know not to.

    What a blanket statement, cancer is caused by sugar. Um no, not always and in every case. Sometimes its' hormonal, and other issues like genetic. Just wanted to put that out there for those feeling bad when they heard that, who eat limited sugar or none and still got sick. It's more about energy too, if you look in to it it's a variety of factors. Best thing is not to demonize sugar, but look at all the crap the companies replace sugar with which is so much more harmful to human health such as glucose fructose syrup and Aspartame.

    • @gertjandokter9205
      @gertjandokter9205 Рік тому

      You're totally right, it's not 'always' the case. But let's be clear, there are always exceptions. In general, cancer is caused by sugar, no doubt. Rougly 15% is genetic (I might be wrong about this number, but it's certainly around this & quite low as you can see). And that's positive, because that means a large % of the causes is IN OUR CONTROL BY EATING LESS OR NO PROCESSED FOODS, HOW GREAT! The point of this video is to stop the misleading information and tell people the truth. Yes, the truth might not always be pleasant, but we need it. If you don't know the truth, how in the world are you going to fix a problem? Not by taking the wrong information or just ignoring the truth. The best thing is to demonize (added) sugar, because the food industry - which created all this - just has one goal: to make us sick. That worked quite well, as we all can see!
      Again, I do agree with you, but that was not the point of this video. Also, genetic & hormonal issues are less of a problem than sugar.
      Sugar (not in the natural form) is responsible for all wealth diseases. Undeniable facts who we must face & can't ignore to safe this population from a very frightening future.
      Have a good one!

    • @poppytaylor765
      @poppytaylor765 Рік тому +1

      It’s rarely genetic or hormonal, think about it do you honestly think 1 in 2 people out of 9 billion all have the exact same genes that cause or activate cancer? Cancer is started in the cells yes but it’s external factors that activate the cancer, the cells don’t just decide it upon themselves unless you have an immune system that attacks itself then fair enough but the body fights to repair and protect it doesn’t think oh I’m alive let’s start a disease in here that’s going to kill me, it’s always external factors that start it. Those who do avoid sugar etc don’t think of other factors that can cause cancer such as sun exposure, sun cream which has chemicals that cause cancer when absorbed by the skin, coffee and tea etc. everything has its negative sides you can’t avoid everything that can cause cancer unless you become a full time herbivore. Even bread! Chew it for long enough it starts to taste like sugar why? Cos starch is sugar! Even bread is bad for you! Carbs is the biggest part of the food chart and what they don’t tell you is it’s the worst thing to eat. And yeah I totally agree artificial sweeteners and subs are even worse than sugar. Vegan frozen food and tomato sauce etc are the ones to avoid as well as seed oils they cause major inflammation in the body which in turn can cause cancer in the long run

    Yeah.. well .. I will always use sugar, from sugar cane and the yellow one! What I truly avoid is sugar substitutes, to what everyone calls sugar but it’s not! I’m 52 and I still burn all sugar I eat .. I even use a small shovel for the sugar pot at home ;)

      Just eat everything but in moderation. Having a cookie or a piece of chocolate once a day will not kill you. My husband and I are senior citizens and run a farm. At 3 pm everyday we sit down for coffee and something sweet. My father used to say it was his reward for making that far into the day and not quitting. He lived to be 99.

    Why did you open this with a false statement? Or is the Earth being redefined as the USA? As of today, the global population estimate is 8,062,757,100. The latest research into obesity worldwide is 641,000,000, less that 10% of the global population. Hope whatever else you said was interesting. I didn't watch it as you lost trust with me before 10 seconds was done.

    Oil is the killer 3 times the calories of sugar which is the bodies preferred fuel. The fat you eat is the fat you wear. Starch-based is best low carb folks look horrible. Atkins is a great example of what not to do.

    LONG LIVE DR. RAYMOND PEAT!!!!! I have been eating a cup of PURE CANE SUGAR for the past two years, and my blood pressure stabilized as well as my blood sugar. Testosterone has increased . You are WRONG! Sugar does not equal donuts/cake/high fructose corn syrup. SUGAR IS GOOD FOR YOU!
