Episode 1: The Large Tower
In this video I will start on my new series: Building a Medieval Castle in LEGO!
In this first episode I made the large tower of the castle.
(Pls subscribe because this took me way too long)
love that cross above the gate made out of mini fig legs
Thank you😁
By the way, I wouldn't mind the shots in the video being a bit slower, I'm constantly pausing the video to check out the cool techniques and textures
@@w00bel Thank you for the tip! I will improve the video with slower shots in the next episode!
very nice i don't know how you don't have more subs
Thanks bro, it means a lot
The tower and tree designs are really good dude, I love how detailed they are! Can’t wait to see some more additions to the castle.
Thank you so much bro! I really appreciate it! Im already working on the second episode :)
nice
Thank you so much!
This looks incredible, can't wait to see more
Thank you so much!
one of the best towers I've ever seen
Thank you so much!
Looking forward to the rest, great start!
Thanks !! 😆
great start so far im liking it, cant wait to see more, i do however think the tree might be too chonky
Thank you! I agree with the tree, I am just really bad at building trees🤦 I might change it in the future! :)
@@SV_Briqs Dan the fan has some great tree videos, maybe those will help
@@BenTheBrickBuilder Ok thanks!
This is looking awesome so far!
Thank you so much! It means so much to me that you see this! Your MOCs are the best!
Thanks, I appreciate that!@@SV_Briqs
Nice one, well done ❤
Thank you 😄
Wauw dat was verie koel
Tank you heel much :)
Large tower, that is the understatement of the century, this is massive! Great job man I love all the clever building techniques you used especially the four legs for the windows, one thing that was really amazing is the moc didn’t lose detail and clever building techniques despite its size, that is one thing I always struggle with. I literally cannot wait for the second part!
Thank you very much my friend! It took me a really long time and almost all my gray parts but it was worth it. The second part is already in the works, just gotta wait for some bricklink orders. :)
gooede job of you me very proud zijn
Tanke tanke heel much
Some cool techniques in this. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Beauty and I like the thickness of the walls. Missing stairs though.
Thank you! I could do stairs, but than there would be less interior. Do you think stairs are better? Let me know, I can still change it!!
@@SV_BriqsCheers! You did an excellent job with the realism of the walls and other details as well.
Personally, all my Lego Mocs/buildings (cars as well if possible) need to be "fully accessible" for the Lego Minifigs. Otherwise I feel another lack of realism. Also, while I hardly play like this anymore, I always think back to my childhood days and back then I wanted everything to be accessible as much as possible for more playing fun :D or as of now, I always think: the main priority should be that a child could play with it :D
While I mostly look at (my) mocs nowadays, this inner playing child still always wonders around the mocs in his mind..
Btw. your thick walls allow for a rather easy incorporation of stair(systems), you could mimik the ones from reality, as did I somewhat with my last Tower-Moc (it's not as realistic as yours).
I am no englishman so not sure if my wording is correct, but basically plant the stairs inside the stone, just like they used to to in the real castles (and not use the ready made ones from Lego). This will allow you to go as little as 2 studs wide into the space (maybe slightly wider on the lower levels and slowly get more narrow towards the top.
@@l.b.2392 I love the idea with the stairs build in the walls, so im going to do that! Thank you for your comment, I never thought of stairs myself!
@qsthx for your kind reply, happy that you did it 🤝 Curious about your results! I forgot to specify: I would do most if not all stairs with "wooden"/brown elements (which also creates a beautiful color contrast to the grey walls).
Absolutely stunning! I love how well this is done!
Thank you man!
This is looking great . A Grand tower , love all the details 👍👍
Thank you so much dude! :)
It looks amazing, well done!
Thank you man! Im a big fan of your builds! :)
