Bill completely and utterly deserved his emmy. I mean, has anyone actually _watched_ Barry? It's a phenomenal show, and if you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to do so!!
having seen him in smaller comedy roles, i wouldn't have expected the dramatic performances we got in barry- even his eye movements tell a lot of depth to the character
@@easyfatfire yup, like most comedians do or they take and actual story and add a lot of funny stuff to it. Comedians are basically funny bullshitters that most of the time act like they are guardians of free speech and know how the world works while trying you to do DMT and TRT.

I love that when Bill plays himself in his stories his voice drops a register, does that make sense? He makes his own voice deeper than his usual nasal twang I can tell he's insecure about that and I love it.
Pretending you have to go to the bathroom because you just need to sit on the toilet and decompress is such a mood, but for me it’s usually because I’ve been socializing for a whole half hour or something not cause I just won an Emmy.
I remember he used to stop by the coffee shop that I worked at every Sunday and ordered his double cappuccino. He truly is the sweetest and humblest celebrity I have ever ever encountered. He would tell me about upcoming projects and ask how my schooling was going and I just became a bigger fan❤️🥰
Sometimes people are just perfect for roles. Like they are that person. Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool. Robert Downey Jr is Tony Stark. Bill Hader is Richie Tozier.
Conan and Hader is such a good pair because they're on the same wavelength when it comes to their sense of humor. Like they don't need to explain much about what they're trying to say, if one says one or two words towards the punchline, the other already got there and laugh or follow up the joke.
@@drumboarder1 You only think it's "like Ellen's" because she's got the popular show. But if you look at many other smaller talk shows, all look quite similar if they choose the relaxed "no desk" set. One thing I would change here is the flower arrangement on the coffee table, it looks rather girly, as if Conan stumbled into someone else's chat show.
My sister won an emmy for her work on a popular children's program, and they're actually really, really nice awards. She brought it to my parent's house during a family summer cookout (initially she refused, but I convinced her that I just wanted to see one in person and I'm 150% on board with Mom and Dad relentlessly trolling their friends with pics of their daughter and her goofball brother that's doing ok for himself displaying her emmy award. I have no idea what the base is made of, probably some kind of dense stone, but the cheapest-looking part was maybe the high-end laser engraving of her name and details on the brass plaque. It was really rad to see my little sister riding high on the horse and enjoying some attention that day in front of the family. I couldn't get enough, because she's a one in a million brains/beauty/talent and doesn't get to hear it nearly as often as she should.
Whoa! I thought I was the only one who noticed! I even thought of a joke, the premise being that If you're new to L.A., find out where Bill Hader lives and rent some space on his forehead. :D
Very well deserving Emmy win. His performance was masterful, and so was Henry Winkler’s. It’s almost unfair that he got nominated in a comedy role when it was his dramatic props that netted him the Emmy though. Ted Danson was awesome, but he just didn’t have any dramatic roles in The Good Place
