Vulcan has been around since the 60s old pushrod V6 engine. Was used in several rwd, fwd applications from Ford.was finally killed off in 2009 and ironically lastly used in the Ranger.
If it’s got the 5r55e transmission, 2nd gear is actually still first gear, just with torque converter locked if I’m not mistaken. Should be a 5 speed transmission
You get basic facts wrong here. The 2005 model is considered a third generation Ranger not a second gen. And 3rd gens went from 98 to 2011. Not the same interior as a 95 as you say.
Some of the best compact trucks ever made, but Ford kept this design way too long. It should’ve gotten a significant redesign & interior update after 2003 or so.
I kind of agree but there isn’t much they could’ve done other than some new interior cosmetics, but that comes with affects of being cheaper quality. I recommend adding a center console and single seats it brings it to a more modern look

False, 1995 is when this interior design started.
@2H2521 You're right, I see they carried it over from the explorer for a mid-cycle refresh of the 2nd gen. My apologies. I stand corrected.
