Yeah he forgot the other 2 coming off the Y lol All 5 of mine were clogged, sounds and performs great now once i got rid of them and Thrush piped if lol
I took the rear muffler off my 2013 vw jetta with a diesel and it made no difference in sound because of the dpf on it, pretty similar to how that ranger was
@Ic Wiener I got rid of that car a while back I thought it was so funny that they sell a banks dpf back muffler kit for it but with the dpf it would be worthless because it absorbs all the sound anyway
If you live in Cali you will get fucked over hard by the police if they find out you deleted the DPF. I had a Golf TDI before I traded it in for Dieselgate
I’ve seen your posts on Instagram so many times and I just happened to find this channel from googling “ranger cherry bomb” I instantly recognized the street at the end and made the connection😂. You do awesome work brotha love the videos
I believe the white one is a California model, that's why there are so many pre cats, and main cats. I feel three would have been Sufficient for emissions...
I would immediately make an off road y-pipe for the white 01, and probably keep the rest stock. That alone would free up more flow and sound than you'd need.
@@fish_R_stinky69 That'd be far too obnoxious. Off road y-pipe into a performance muffler like a Super Turbo, it'd sound rad and probably pick up 20hp from removing 5 cats.
Kept one converter the upstream because only four more years on emissions to go. Straight piped the downstream ones because they were shot left the muffler on, it sounds sick but doesn't scream idling
Wow that red one sounds good, now I kinda want to do something like that... but I'm not because it's expensive and more unnecessary work, it's fine how it is, but I do want to make it a bit more rumble. If changing the stock exhaust end for something bigger or something can do a similar thing I'll to that
Start with an exhaust tip and get a muffler next i dont think i would straight pipe it honestly it might sound bad mine came with a cherrybomb and a leak😂 all i added was a exhaust tip and it sounds great
I have an 01 with a 3.0 and all those stupid catalytic converters and a Cherry Bomb Turbo muffler and it sounds exactly like the factory muffler because of the 45,000 catalytic converters Ford felt the need to strangle the engine with. I plan to delete everything downstream from the O2 sensors whenever it stops raining here.
Is it true the only catalytic converters that matter are the ones that have the sensors on them? Want to delete the ones on my ranger that don’t have sensors
I don't think so, the smaller cats also reduce emissions, and it heats up the air a lot more to help out the following ones do their job more efficiently. Deleting anything or changing anything before your sensors is likely to throw a code. But don't be afraid to live your life, go have fun anyways!
the 3.0 has no right to sound as good as it does. i just had my 03 done with a full 2.5in with a Flowmaster FlowFx and a single exit in stock location. It sounds so much better then it did when i got it, and thanks to the previous owner I have no cats so its just pipe and muffler
They sound OK believe the white one sounded better longer but he got on it harder. I had 02 4x4 with 4.0 wouldn't hardly run all 4 cats plugged got 6 to 8 mpg had cats cut of glass pack put on with y pipe duel tail pipes ran strong got 20 mpg was loud but sounded good. Have a 01 2wd super cab 3.0 v code engine gonna do same thing to it Friday.
that's crazy of a ranger have 5 cats lol my '99 Ranger has two of them & idk if deleting one would make a slight difference in the sound I got the 3.0 flex fuel V6 in mine
Both have the 3.0L Vulcan V6. They sound good with mods and removal of those cats. The first would sound deeper with the third cat removed. The white one with 5 cats is completed muted and it had the muffler deleted. What was Ford thinking? PS. I am growing tired of responding to trolls. It takes away from the enjoyment I have here with everyone. I will comment but won't reply to the haters for now on. Back to the videos.
I took all mine off my 2002 ranger and did a single magnflow high flow cat on followed by 24" glasspack and dual blackout tips. Idling sounds like a V8 but then get on it that V6 comes out.
Just a question I have a 2007 ranger and I want to do something like the dual cherry bombs. Would the dual cherry bomb work if I had a single exhaust or does it only work with the duals like that one?
You can run dual cherry bombs if you run a y pipe to convert a single exhaust into a dual it's how some 4 cylinders guys get dual tail pipes but if you have a v6 you could take it to a shop and have full dual exhaust put on which would increase power possibly increase fuel economy and would make it sound pretty decent
I love your videos, and I would love to make my car louder. So I thought I would ask, what would you recommend for my envoy? It's a 5.3 motor like the trailblazer you did 8 months ago, and I was curious to get your opinion.
@@masocapalot5624 not looking for drone, just looking to cut restrictions for better performance but not to loud either. I'm also going to do a valve install though, right after the cats so when I do want loud i can flip a switch and just not have an exhaust anymore
@@themortalinstruments2776 it will give a deep tone, but more of give the old school muscle car sound. I would suggest an expansion chanber like a 'karnage - big body' if you are going for a deep tone. Those 5.3vortecs are great engines. I would also look into headers.
Red one sounds good! White one sounds good too but dang 5 Catalytics jeez.. A Cat thiefs dream car..
Mines worse 😂 I got 6 catalytics on my crown Vic
Not worth much tho
@@SMDLNBullshit ain't nothin'
Sounds like a California truck .don't need but one to pass most states inspe tion.cut them off.
On my 1998 ford ranger 4.0L V6 pushrod it has 2 catalytic converters
The white ranger has to be the most clogged up "strait piped lol" truck in existence....
Yeah he forgot the other 2 coming off the Y lol All 5 of mine were clogged, sounds and performs great now once i got rid of them and Thrush piped if lol
Idk my black ranger so clogged up ain’t no heat and hammer doing shit
if it has catalytic converts still on, then it's not straight piped. It's just a muffler delete
Right!
Fun fact about the white one u can completely take the muffler off and dump it off the last converter and it still sounds stock lol
I took the rear muffler off my 2013 vw jetta with a diesel and it made no difference in sound because of the dpf on it, pretty similar to how that ranger was

I did a muffler delete on my 2007 Ford ranger with a 3.0 engine when you put it to park it pop so good
I believe the white one is a California model, that's why there are so many pre cats, and main cats. I feel three would have been Sufficient for emissions...
The white ranger with straight pipes sounds good, but 5 cats on it? That's too much if you ask me to be honest
I would immediately make an off road y-pipe for the white 01, and probably keep the rest stock. That alone would free up more flow and sound than you'd need.
Lol piece of crap vehicles with loud mufflers sounds like a bunch of losers looking for attention
Hi
I would immediately run it open-headers. It's too quiet even with a straight-pipe.

I have five on mine… But they are just a cat shells. 😂
Sounds better than them v6 charger/challengers

Welds are high class
oink oink. love that 3.0 vulcan pushrod
Ive got a 99 ranger that im putting a thrush bottle glasspack. Hope it sounds like the red ranger with the cherrybombs
They sound great with a single glass pack
“straight piped” has FIVE FUCKING CATS
If it has converters it’s NOT straight piped
5 cats, sheesh, my ranger only has 1.
does a cherry bomb sound good on a 2003 4 cyl Ford ranger? or is the engine too small
Wow that red one sounds good, now I kinda want to do something like that... but I'm not because it's expensive and more unnecessary work, it's fine how it is, but I do want to make it a bit more rumble. i’m just gonna cut off my muffler and rear pipe and replace it with a 12” cherry bomb where the muffler was and leave it at that
I got a 24" glasspack on my 3.0 ranger and sounds good and nice loudness to it.
Glasspakcs cost 24$ at autozone
Start with an exhaust tip and get a muffler next i dont think i would straight pipe it honestly it might sound bad mine came with a cherrybomb and a leak😂 all i added was a exhaust tip and it sounds great
Cherry Bombs for the win.👍

I have a question. Are there cons doing straight pipe? I straight piped my 4Runner I have had people tell that is bad to do that.
ik im late and im not an expert but im pretty sure youll have less torque but not making your car immobile
5 cats wowwww I would taken of 3 atleast I had Flowmaster 10 series n cherry bomb extreme on my 99 ranger with 4.0 V6
