NEW DS Back in Time to 1795 - Sarah and Her Doll

- Angelique realizes that the only way that she can get Barnabas to marry her is to put a spell on Sarah using Sarah's doll. Sarah becomes very ill and seems close to death. Angelique makes Barnabas promise that he will marry her if she cures Sarah.
With every twist and turn of the plot and storyline, my hat goes off to the writers of this show in the 1960's, perhaps sitting at a table with cups of coffee and manual typewriters clicking away as they came up with the darkest of tales that would be enjoyed and followed for many many decades. This show has the amazing ability to whisk us in and out of the time travel of each character and keeps us riveted and engaged with every dramatic and emotional situation that occurs. I look forward to experiencing this delightful fantasy for a few minutes every day.
2:30-Barnabas confronted Trask at the right moment. Trask wasn't too interested in exorcising evil from Josette he was in lust!
That's rich Angelique calling Josette scheming when she knows she is the one scheming. Everything she doing will cause so much pain now she directing her vicious ways towards little Sarah to black mail Barnabas.
Barnabas is not of sound mind, cause if he were he would have chose angelique in a second over the plain josette.
For a young actress who had a good number of scenes in present 1967 Sharon Smythe (Sarah) doesn't have as many scenes in 1795. Now Angelique seeks another low bringing suffering on her!
I was astonished how little we saw of Sarah in 1795. You would think she would have played a more important part after the buildup with her ghost in the present day.
It's sad how Barnabas treats Angelique. I kind of feel sorry for her, but then she does something wicked to little Sarah! Angelique is such a complicated character. Lara Parker was such a good actress! ~Janet in Canada

It sickens me when people defend Angelique because Barnabas supposedly used her. Even if that's true, it doesn't justify her hurting his family who had nothing to do with whatever happened between them in Martinique.
It's certainly no justification for striking out at an innocent child.
Angelique has zero comprehension about human behavior. She thought Barnabas would just magically fall in love with her after Josette married Jerimiah. 🙄
Angelique is a mercyful wonderful beautiful woman.😊
