Omgg!!! This is by far the BEST video for making fresh almond milk 🥛 😋 and I never saw a recipe for almond hummus, I LOVE ❤ IT!!! Thank you so much🙋🏾♀️Namaste 🙏 🍃
I made the hummus!! Very delicious, i ended up switching to my Cuisinart, my Vitamix wasn’t making it smooth enough and it seemed it needed my help to move the batch Im ok with washing multiple appliances lol I appreciate using the pulp felt so guilty throwing it away, i was storing in my freezer 😅
Lectins are proteins found in plants and animals, and are most commonly found in grains and legumes. They can be resistant to digestion and bind to carbohydrates and sialic acid, which is why they are sometimes called "sticky proteins". Lectins can cause digestive problems and inflammation when they damage the gut. In people with food sensitivities or autoimmune disease, lectins may contribute to leaky gut and inflammatory bowel disease. However, most lectins are harmless and can be removed by cooking and boiling
The tahini adds creaminess and the traditional hummus flavor, but you could probably use almond butter for a similar texture, and just adjust the flavoring to taste as you go.
@@DetoxinistaRecipes thank you. Do you know why After making the almond milk It turn in tu layers like off white and Water yellowish. Every morning I have to shake well Is this normal
@@Wolf-rg7ih it is normal. The same goes for store bought stuff, it does state to shake before use. Had one not touched for a few days and poured straight from the container and it was almost clear. Poured it back in the container and shook it up. Oddly tho, not always all containers of the store bought stuff will "split", but some do. Not only that, I think some of the other added stuff in the store bought Almond milk helps keep it mixed. But yeah, homemade stuff, just shake it up, it will be fine.👍👍👍
The soaking water will contain the anti-nutrients you're trying to remove from the almonds. So, using fresh water should (in theory) make them easier to digest.
Soaking does not help to boost nutrient absorption, is used to lower all the anti-nutrients the raw almonds has like phytates and oxalates, is recommended to take a Calcium pill when eating almonds.
Wow, such a great idea with the almond butter!!
I absolutely love your almond pulp hummus, and almond milk! Delicious!

Just plane wonderful and I also Love your hummus recipe from the mesh. Do you have something similar from oak milk mesh? 😀
The leftover oat milk pulp is too slimy typically, so if anything I'll add it to oatmeal for extra fiber, or maybe you could add it to overnight oats?
😊thank you 😊
It raw almond or roasted almond?
Would the almond pulp hummus work without the tahini? I’m allergic to sesame, so can’t have tahini - thanks!

How you measure a cup ? What size cup ?
One cup of almonds is roughly 5.33 ounces. (There are 3 cups of almonds in a pound.)

Why do you drain the water? Why not just use the soaking water as the milk water?
