Looks Great ! My concern is the Black color . I would think absorb the heat from the sun and hold it into the Barn. Also vinyl windows don't do well in extreme heat . # Arizona
Great insight on black in metal construction! Unlike with shingle roofs where heat absorption is a big issue, metal focuses more on how well it reflects light. Although black isn't the best at reflecting (it's lower on the reflectivity scale), metal, especially steel, is excellent at reducing heat transfer. This means that even if black metal absorbs more heat, it doesn't pass as much of that heat inside, compared to materials like wood or shingles.

What about the structure? How's it built? Has it been tested in strong winds? Is there any difference from a regular house built on a slab?
Steel W-Beam Structure, Designed be an engineer to local commercial building code. This particular one is 120+ MPH wind load. Most counties in Texas do not require wind ratings approval in residential settings, so yes, ours being designed and stamped by a structural engineer is much stronger than most traditional stick built homes.
Should have used a counter depth fridge.

We are updating our site to show approximate starting price, you can always call if you want to start a dialogue, email and quote request just allows us to follow up on your schedule. He mentioned in another reply that it’s wind rated to 120mph, 140mph is required in FL but maybe they can adjust. You definitely don’t want the black exterior in FL. The floor plan is perfect for me in Marion County other than the wind rating, exterior color and vinyl windows.

How much would it be for a 2bedroom 2bathroom with garage. One bedroom must be sound proof here in Oregon we have sound laws for home stereos.
We will soon have a starting at price for our turn keys on our site, (all based on pricing in our area). You should check out rockwool regarding sound. We went through a demo at a home building show, it blew us away regarding the sound proofing.
