If a bad app or widget is making your iPhone hot, it’s probably best to delete that app or widget and find an alternative.
Make sure to check for an iOS update, as running outdated software can cause problems on your iPhone.
For deeper software issues, try resetting all settings on your iPhone. This will often eliminate software problems that are difficult to track.
The last thing you can do before completely ruling out a software problem is a DFU restore, the deepest type of iPhone restore.

@@hishamshariff4411 usually not, but if it's overheating, try to leave it for a bit to cool down and blow cold air into the back of your phone (where the battery is).

OK Restore all settings did the trick. I don't know what it fixed but it has cooled down and analytics show the errors have stopped. All apps are working again. I was literally on my way to upgrade from my 6S to an 11. You saved me some money during the pandemic.

My 11 pro is heating up like crazy when I reset the settings... all apps are closed in the background. Is that normal? :-( My phone also heats up a lot when I use speaker phone on a regular call or when I run Google maps for navigation and the battery drains very quickly.
After I close all my apps and turned off some of the apps refreshing in the background and then rebooting the phone I think that fix my overheating problem. Thank you very much

I'm using it to keep my coffee warm. If I need to make a call I use a roll of frozen burger. You need like a 3lbr tho & they can be pricey. Dude was like head to the apple store. HaHaHa!! I paid more for this phone than my first car. I will be rotating these rolls.

I had a solution for when I’m in my room I turn on the air conditioner and put it to the coldest setting then hide in my blanket and use my phone while it’s out in the Arctic

I play one game for 3 hours so I play it on a flat Ice pad. That cured my over heating of an I phone 7. I must warn everyone the I phone 7 will not charge at 32F . It will start charging again at 40F. The I phone 7 does not type correctly when too hot.

guys my iphone after the ios 15 its when overheats after 15min watching youtube or games whatever i do is lagging alot and cant use it at all is there any problem with batterie or anything else ? and always am always i clean up all the ups in the backround i make reset the whole phone like format not even transfer from before reset just fresh
I have done all the procedures, but I'm not sure that the problem persists because I restored the phone with my icloud data?? I did a hard reset and I think the phone wasnt heating up... So I put my icloud backup. After a while it started heating again :/
Today I restored it with dfu mode but I put my backup right after because I need it. This were the two last procedures I made.
What should I do so I dont lose my icloud data and info? If the problem is on the backup changing to another phone will I have the same problem?
I read somewhere that you should restore the phone as new so no backup but I cant do that.

Faulty WiFi modules also can cause overheating. Overheating is not always caused by the CPU. For example, my phone doesn’t overheat in airplane mode. But when I turn on WiFi, I’m getting an abnormal amount of heat.

Hi, I have been following your directions on how to save battery life. I got a new battery for my iPhone 11 Pro two months ago. It still drains quickly, especially while on Facebook. Not only that, my iPhone 11 Pro gets WAY too hot! I have been following this UA-cam clip just now, but I don’t see how to do reset your iPhone. How do I do that? &, do I have to put my username/passwords back into apps that I frequently use? How does reset it help from not getting your iPhone 11 Pro get WAY too hot? I have done everything you advised, but, this iPhone still gets hot. If I have to take it to an Apple store, would they do this as well, reset it? Do you have a video clip on how to rest your iPhone? VNY D what part of your iPhone is heating up? Mine heats up in the area under the camera. I remember couple of years ago Messenger app was draining all of battery life, since it’s code was faulty and it automatically turned on microphone when you open the app. I think they’ll fix it soon, cause never had this problem since day one of owning 11 Pro Max
Rudolph Gabrielyan center n top right side of the camera , if you have a case on it makes it worse, the heat travels throughout the case , but when I’m home I use my iPhone 6s to use certain apps
